    47 Meters Down: Uncaged is a 2019 American-British survival horror film directed by Johannes Roberts and written by Roberts and Ernest Riera and a sequel to the 2017 hit 47 Meters Down. The plot follows a group of teenage girls who scuba dive to a ruined underwater city, quickly learn they have entered the territory of the deadliest shark species in the claustrophobic labyrinth of submerged caves. The film will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telegu on partner platforms of Lionsgate Play – Vodafone Play, Airtel Xstream, Idea Movies&TV on Friday,3rd July 2020. 

    Shot against the beautiful landscape of South America, 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, starring Sophie Nélisse, Corinne Foxx, Brianne Tju and Sistine Stallone is about the diving adventure of four teenage girls exploring a submerged Mayan City. Once inside, their rush of excitement turns into a jolt of terror as they discover the sunken ruins are a hunting ground for deadly great White Sharks. With their air supply steadily dwindling, the friends must navigate the underwater labyrinth of claustrophobic caves and eerie tunnels in search of a way out of their watery hell. The film received rave reviews for it’s cinematography and critically shot underwater scenes. Viewers will start longing for a holiday while watching this film.

    Bandidas starring Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz is a western action comedy film which tells the tale of two distinctive women in late-19th-century Mexico. Inevitably, the unalike duo burry their differences to combat a ruthless adversary by robbing banks to help the poor Mexicans who have lost their lands.     Bandidas is the brainchild of producer-screenwriter Luc Besson and co-directed by Espen Sandberg and Joachim Roenning. This western action comedy film is a rare film in its genre to use women as its principal characters and distinguishes itself further by adding hefty dosages of comic relief to the Western formula. In 1890s Mexico, María Álvarez (Penélope Cruz) is an uneducated, daughter of a poor but loving father, who is being forced off his land by a cruel U.S. land baron named Tyler Jackson (Dwight Yoakam). Sara Sandoval (Salma Hayek) is the highly educated, wealthy daughter of the arrogant owner of the nearby properties and has recently returned from Europe where she attended numerous grade schools and colleges in England, Spain, and France for several years. In one fell swoop, both María's and Sara's fathers fall under attack by the baron, (Sara's father is killed, María's is shot but survives) giving him free rein in the nearby territories. As an act of revenge, María and Sara team up to become bank robbers, stealing and giving back to the poor Mexicans who have lost their lands. The film written, directed, and produced by Christian Gudegast, starring Hollywood heartthrob and action hero Gerard Butler along with, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Pablo Schreiber, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Evan Jones, Dawn Olivieri, Mo McRae, and Max Holloway. The film revolves around an elite group of County Sheriff Deputies look to stop a gang of thieves planning to rob the Federal Reserve in Los Angeles. The film will be available on partnered telecom platforms of Lionsgate Play – Vodafone Play, Airtel Xstream, Idea Movies and TV on Friday, 5th June 2020.

    The film follows a group of thieves and Police officers. A gang of thieves led by Ray Merriman takes the hostage of the Federal Reserve to rob 30$ million that was planned to be shredded and their records were to be deleted. This action flick takes interesting twists and turns till the last scene, keeping its viewers attached to their seats. The film garnered great reviews across the globe and did well at the box office.

    MUMBAI: Bharti Airtel (“Airtel”), India’s largest integrated telecommunications company, global content leader Lionsgate and Starzplay, the international premium subscription platform from Starz, have joined hands to bring premium content from Lionsgate Play to customers in
    India.

    The partnership will give Airtel customers access to a deep portfolio of critically acclaimed and beloved Lionsgate feature film content, which will be available on Airtel Xstream app and web platforms. Airtel Xstream app has a catalogue of over 10,000 movies and shows along with 400 TV channels.

    Lionsgate Play launches first marketing campaign with Havas Creative

    MUMBAI: Premium entertainment service, Lionsgate Play has made a grand entry into the Indian market, with its first marketing campaign. The renowned global brand has awarded its creative mandate to Havas Creative India, the business will be handled by the agency’s Mumbai office.

    For the brand’s launch campaign Lionsgate and Havas Creative decided to go with a clutter-breaking quirky out of home campaign that has gone live across Delhi, Mumbai, and Pune.

    The idea is to showcase multiple genres of movies to the same consumer emphasising the breadth of Lionsgate Play’s premium content offering hence the brand tapped into prime outdoor presence in select pockets across the city.

    The campaign is also tapping digital platforms where the call to action will be stronger and lead the user directly to the streaming partner’s app.
