    TLC to air journey of Lindsay Lohan in its new series ‘Lindsay’

     

    MUMBAI: TLC presents to you the highly anticipated series, Lindsay which will capture the life of the controversial actress and media sensation – Lindsay Lohan. The series will show Lindsay’s journey through recovery, following a very public event of crisis.

     

    Lindsay airs every Thursday and Friday at 10 pm.

     

    Lindsay is one of the most talented young actresses of her generation, boasting of an impressive list of credits, including The Parent Trap, Mean Girls and A Prairie Home Companion. Having had her career and personal life sidelined by her public struggles, Lindsay for the very first time is strikingly candid about her life and is more determined than ever to get back on her feet.

    This eight part series will give viewers an opportunity to know not only about the celebrity Lindsay Lohan but also Lindsay, the person.

     

    A small glimpse into the series:

     

    Part One

    After completing her sixth stay in rehab, Lindsay decides to move to New York to work on her sobriety and rebuild her once promising career. But will she resist temptation?

     

    Part Two

    While trying to manage her sobriety in a chaotic setting, Lindsay fights to move into her new apartment, and the producers start to question her commitment to the series.

     

    Part Three

    After finally getting the keys to her apartment, Lindsay refuses to let the cameras film, and her assistant threatens to quit. But will Oprah be able to make her see sense?

     

    Part Four

    After a visit from Oprah, Lindsay attempts to jump-start her career by doing a skit with Jimmy Fallon. Later, she performs community service at a children’s center.

     

    Part Five

    AJ, Lindsay’s sobriety coach, questions her abstinence. And later, when Lindsay returns home after a tabloid-fuelled trip, everything comes into question.

     

    Part Six

    A large crew travels to Manhattan to shoot Lindsay for the cover of Elle Indonesia’s anniversary edition. But when she fails to show up on time, the friction is palpable.

     

    Part Seven

    Lindsay appears on the brink of getting what she’s been striving for since getting out of rehab: a starring role in a Hollywood film. But will everything go according to plan?

     

    Part Eight

    After being out of rehab for nearly five months, Lindsay finally feels like she’s settling into life in New York, and she gets the chance to reflect on her journey.

    Lindsay Lohan yet to sign for Elizabeth Taylor film

    MUMBAI: Lindsay Lohan, who is yet to sign her contract to play the late Elizabeth Taylor in a new film, is planning on signing the contract this week if all proceeds as scheduled. The major parts of the contract are in place and all that is needed now is signatures of Lindsay and the producers of the project.
    Lohan will play Taylor who died of congestive heart failure last year in a forthcoming film. The shooting of the film is due to start in just a few weeks in Canada.
    Recently it was claimed that the makers behind the film were concerned about her ability to tell the truth after conflicting reports of an alleged altercation with Marisa Dugas at the Chateau Marmont hotel. The star claims that she was not at the hotel on 5 April but the woman has filed a police report accusing her of battery.

    Two further reports have been given, claiming Lindsay – who was released from probation last month – was present at the party.

    MUMBAI: Hollywood sirens Megan Fox and Lindsay Lohan are in the race to play Elizabeth Taylor in a new TV movie.

    The Jonah Hex star is in negotiation for the part in made-for-TV production Liz and Dick for the Life time channel, the film‘s executive producer Larry Thompson has confirmed, it is understood.

    “I‘ve been talking to Lindsay Lohan directly, and with her reps, and have been in conversation with other actresses, including Megan Fox. It‘s a very serious selection. It‘s like casting for Hollywood royalty,” Thompson has been reported to have said.
     
    It is said that Lohan is particularly keen to win the role following a a not-so-good year.

    Fox bids ‘Final Goodbye’ to ‘That 70’s Show’ next month

    MUMBAI: US broadcaster Fox bids farewell to one of its longest-running series the sitcom That 70’s Show next month.

    It will air the retrospective special That ’70s Show: The Final Goodbye on 11 May 2006. In India the show airs on Star World.

    The special celebrates 200 episodes and eight seasons by taking a look back at some of the most memorable moments from the show.

    The special will feature interviews with all the cast members and director, as well as past guest stars such as Brooke Shields, Bruce Willis, Luke Wilson, Lindsay Lohan and The Rock. It will also feature exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and up-close-and-personal segments taped with many of the cast.

    Additionally, the special will include outtakes from classic episodes and never-before-seen clips rescued from the editing room floor. The special will also give viewers an inside look at the final week of taping the show, including some of the funniest and most touching moments as the cast brings their eight-year journey to a close. The series finale and 200th episode of the sitcom airs on 18 May 2006.

    MUMBAI: Rock group Green Day, Will Smith, Lindsay Lohan and Chris Rock were among those who captured Kids’ Choice Blimp Awards at Nickelodeon’s 19th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards

    US kids honoured their favourites at this year’s inimitable kudos/mess-slime fest hosted on April Fools’ Day by actor Jack Black at the University of Califronia.

    Smith was voted as Favorite Movie Actor for Hitch. This marked Smith’s fifth Blimp. Lindsay Lohan nabbed the award for Favourite Movie Actress for Herbie Fully Loaded. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire won for Favourite Movie.

    Chris Rock clinched the award for Favorite Voice in an Animated Movie for Madagascar. Nick’s own SpongeBob SquarePants absorbed honours for the fourth consecutive year as Favourite Cartoon. Drake & Josh won for Favoyrite TV show. Lance Armstrong scored a Blimp for Favourite Athlete.

    In music, Green Day picked up a pair for Music Group and for the song Wake Me Up When September Ends. Jesse McCartney and the winner of the first edition of American Idol Kelly Clarkson won for male and female singer

    A highlight of the show was a aerial skiing slime stunt. US Olympic Freestyle Aerial Skier Ryan St. Onge nailed a gravity-defying freestyle ski stunt off a snowy slope, plunging into a 10,000-gallon tank of Nickelodeon’s signature green slime.

    Skateboarding Slime Diver Tony Hawk hosted the stunt.To the crowd’s delight, slime flowed freely throughout the show, targetting kids in the mosh pit as well as celebrities. An elated Adam Sandler got down and messy. In a climatic moment of mess, slime showers splashed down on a surprised Robin Williams drenching him from head to toe. Then in a “gotcha” moment, the impish Williams took the reins and turned to spread the goo, turning Jack Black a gleeful green.
