    Mumbai: The brand is the first international addition to Lenskart’s umbrella and strengthens Lenskart’s positioning in the premium eyewear segment.

    Lenskart has launched the upcoming French eyewear brand, Le Petit Lunetier, as an exclusive partner in the Indian market. The launch marks the first international addition to Lenskart’s umbrella and follows an equity investment in September 2023 by Neso Brands, a Singapore-based house of brands specialising in eyewear and part of the Lenskart Group.

    Founded in 2015 by former Google executive Jérémie Encaoua and optician Elie Attias, Le Petit Lunetier is an upcoming Paris-based, omni-channel eyewear brand that offers fashionable and iconic designs in high quality. The brand has experienced strong growth in recent years thanks to successful store network expansion and a robust social media following (e.g., over 200,000 followers on Instagram).     Madhur Acharya joins Lenskart as VP of e-commerce

    Mumbai: Wow Skin Science’s former executive Madhur Acharya has joined Lenskart as vice president of e-commerce. 

    Acharya quit the personal care brand as vice president of marketing after a three-year stint. He announced the move in a LinkedIn post.

    “Super stoked to announce my next stint as I join, Lenskart.com the brand that revolutionised the eyewear category in India. Elated to join this community of change-makers as I look forward to building and taking the brand’s vision to various marketplaces in India & International. Special thanks to India’s favourite Shark Peyush Bansal for this opportunity and not just inspiring me and millions of India’s youth, but also actively helping them achieve their dreams,” Acharya said in the post.

    Acharya joined Wow Skin Science in August 2019 as a senior business development manager, he was made its head of marketing in December 2020 and as its VP of marketing in July 2021.

    Lenskart announces its foray into the US market

    Mumbai: Homegrown eyewear retailer Lenskart has announced its foray into the USA market and plans to open its first-ever tech centre in the retail capital city – New York.

    Lenskart’s new tech hub is under development in New York City with investment to build a highly specialised technical team to tap into mature talent available in the region across product, design & consumer research, said the company in a statement.

    “Expanding in the US brings us another step closer to transforming the vision of the world. While the US is a hypercompetitive market, we strongly believe we can bring greater dynamism to the way customers look at eyewear there,” said Lenskart, CEO & co-founder, Peyush Bansal. “Given our scale and global reach, Lenskart has the ability to bring a wide catalogue of over 2000 product styles to the US market, especially for new-age consumption patterns. We are also aiming to build a differentiated, never-seen-before experience backed by our brand, innovation, and technology. Through a Lenskart tech center in the US and dedicated technology & business teams operating from there, we will be successful in growing our business,” he added.

    Lenskart has recently announced its expansion in Singapore and the Middle East with a projection to achieve growth to the tune of $15 billion by 2025.
