    Mumbai: Legends League Cricket continues its successful broadcast partnership with Star Sports Network owing to the massive response to the previous editions of the League. All matches of the upcoming season of Legends League Cricket will be broadcast across Star Sports, and Disney+ Hotstar starting from the 18 of November 2023 till the 9 of December 2023.

    “Legends League Cricket brings together the best national and international talent to the fans, and it was only right that we continue our association with the Star Sports Network and FanCode to showcase the Legends of the sport. This association will continue to give millions of cricket lovers in India the best viewing experience and bring them closer to the stars that they know and love.” said Legends League Cricket CEO Raman Raheja.

    The addition of newer international cricketers and Indian Legends this season will help increase the viewership both in India and abroad. The league’s broadcasting numbers speak for themselves with 388 per cent higher reach than other T20 Leagues on Sports TV (excluding IPL), being the second most watched and rated T20 League (source: BARC 15+ AB), and a whopping 280 million global viewership in just its previous season.  

    The second franchisee edition of Legends League Cricket is scheduled from November 18 to December 9 and will feature matches in five cities: Ranchi, Dehradun, Jammu, Vizag, and Surat. The tournament will kick off with a match between Bhilwara Kings, led by Irfan Pathan, and the defending champions, India Capitals, captained by Gautam Gambhir. Six teams, including India Capitals, Manipal Tigers, Gujarat Giants, Urbanrisers Hyderabad, Southern Super Stars, and Bhilwara Kings, will compete for the coveted trophy.

    Legends League Cricket will be broadcast in eight countries in multiple languages including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. The broadcasting partners for different countries are Star Sports in India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh along with Disney+ Hotstar, and ESPN+ will be available for viewers in South Africa and USA with an addition of Willow TV just for American viewers. Fox and Kayo Sports will cater to the Australian region, Etisalat in the Middle East, and BT Sports in the UK region.

    Mumbai: Legends League Cricket (LLC) has unveiled two new franchises for its highly anticipated upcoming season, which is to be played across five cities in India from 18 November to 9 December 2023.

    The first franchisee announced by Legends League Cricket is Urbanrisers Hyderabad, owned by the prestigious Urbanrise Group in collaboration with JC Pavan Reddy, who serves as the managing director of Trident Power Pvt Ltd. The consortium has a staggering valuation exceeding $7 Billion and signifies a powerful synergy between sports and corporate excellence.

    The Urbanrise/Alliance Group, South India’s largest real estate developer has taken this strategic move as a part of their broader diversification efforts, which include ventures into battery minerals mining, AI, and age reversal technologies. Notably, their mining subsidiary, “First Lithium,” was recently listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and the organisation is financially supported by leading global financial institutions. JC Pavan Reddy has been dedicated to the development of sports at the grassroots level and his experience as the President for the Andhra Pradesh Olympic Association will provide the Urbanrisers Hyderabad team some valuable insights.

    The second franchisee announced by Legends League Cricket for the upcoming season is the Southern Super Stars. A consortium, with combined net worth that exceeds $2 billion, of cricket enthusiasts, with diverse backgrounds spanning industries such as manufacturing, IT, energy, real estate, hospitality, and media, has taken ownership of the franchise.

    KLO Sports, co-founded by Sanjay Jupudi and Srinadh Chitoori, manages this venture. Along with them Ranjeeth Rathod and Gautam Reddy will play an integral part in venture and help steer the Southern Super Stars towards success with their vision and expertise. Sanjay Jupudi, a seasoned serial entrepreneur, established the US-based IT company Qentelli, serving renowned Fortune 500 clients. Srinadh Chitoori, a third-generation businessman from Vizag, has a diverse business portfolio encompassing automobiles, construction, and real estate. Ranjeeth Rathod, another entrepreneur with vast experience in real estate, hospitality, and investments, adds astute management skills to the group. Gautam Reddy, a Chennai based first generation entrepreneur in the clean energy business who has taken on other entrepreneurship venture in various industries like chemicals, textiles, real estate, F&B etc will enhance the team’s managerial strength.

The Gujarat Giants team is owned by Adani Sportline, which also owns the Gujarat Giants team in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) and Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). Bhilwara Kings is owned by The LNJ Bhilwara Group, and Manipal Tigers is owned by Manipal Education and Medical Group.

    Following the resounding success of its inaugural season, the second edition of Legends League Cricket promises even more excitement than the last season.     Mumbai: The final match of the SKY247.net Legends League Cricket 2022, which is being held in India for the first time, will be played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on 5 October.

    Legends League Cricket co-founder & CEO Raman Raheja said that Jaipur was chosen as the venue for the big match keeping in mind the historical relevance of the ground and the city, which has witnessed world-class cricket being played in the past.

    “It is a great stadium and we hope the fans will thoroughly enjoy the experience of seeing the legends of the game competing for the winners’ trophy. As we have seen, the league has been as competitive as the best of the T20 leagues around the world, and the players, be it the bowlers or the batters, have been enthralling everyone with their outstanding performances. We have seen tense finishes in the league stage and expect the final to be no less,” Raheja added.

    The Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur, which will witness international cricket stars for the first time after 2012, will be hosting four matches, including the qualifier and eliminator matches.

    The qualifier will be played on 2 October wherein the top two teams from the league stage will clash for a place in the final. However, the eliminator game, on 3 October, will be contested between the third-placed team and the loser of the qualifier.

    The organisers had first zeroed in on Cuttack for the all-important clash, but the festivities in the city around that time have resulted in changing their decision.
