    Colors announces new primetime show ‘Sirf Tum’ premiering 15 Nov

    Mumbai: Colors has announced a new fiction show “Sirf Tum,” which will premiere on 15 November and air on weekdays at 8 p.m.

    Produced by Rashmi Sharma Telefilms, the show features Vivan Dsena alongside Eisha Singh in the lead. “From capturing the beautiful locales of Dehradun, bringing talents like Vivian Dsena and Eisha Singh onboard, to creating such a powerful narrative, the entire team has worked relentlessly on every minute detail to capture the essence of this love story and make it appealing for the viewers,” stated producer Rashmi Sharma.

    Set in the beautiful locales of Dehradun, against the backdrop of a medical college, “Sirf Tum” highlights the nuances of a complicated relationship between its two lead characters Ranveer and Suhani. “Ranveer is an extremely intriguing character as there are many different shades to him. He is a differentiated hero as his behaviour towards Suhani is anything but conventional – their chemistry reflects a very different side of love,” said actor Vivian Dsena on his role.

    “I was looking out for some uniqueness and that’s when I landed the role of Suhani. Suhani is an extremely mellow character with her simple girl next door aura and her meekish but strong personality,” said actor Eisha Singh. “She is graceful, demure and yet is rooted in strong ideologies stemming from family values. Her innocence makes her very striking and unassuming.”

    The show also has Sonyaa Ayodhya, Eva Shirali, Sanjay Batra and Nimai Bali in supporting roles.

    Colors Gujarati announces new show ‘Moti Baa Ni Nani Vahu’

    Mumbai: Colors Gujarati has announced a new show “Moti Baa Ni Nani Vahu” that will premiere from 15 November and air every Monday to Saturday at 8:30 p.m.

    The show produced by Devaswwa Production features veteran actor Rohini Hattangadi and Firoz Irani and is an adaptation of Colors Marathi’s “Ghadge & Suun.”

    “After the success of Maru Mann Mohi Gayu, we are coming up with a new and never explored plot through our new show Moti Baa Ni Nani Vahu,” said Colors Gujarati programming head Darshil Bhatt. “Continuing with our promise to deliver variety content, Colors Gujarati brings this unique show which focuses on Swara and her grandmother-in-law’s journey and most importantly her acceptance as the ideal granddaughter-in-law of the Zaveri family.”

    “I am playing a pivotal role in this show,” said Rohini Hattangai. “As of now I do not want to reveal my character but yes there is lot of surprise in store for the audience. I had great fun working on the set especially with the producer and my cast and crew for the show. This role is extremely special for me because this also marks my debut on Gujarati fiction show.”  

    “Today I’m not here to talk about movies, but about a daily soap, and you’ll see me in this show,” said Firoz Irani. “Yes, a Gujarati daily soap with the title Moti Bani Nani Vahu. This is a family drama, and we can all agree that watching a show without a family storyline is boring. Every single character has been painstakingly crafted.     Sun TV Network reports 9.59 per cent growth in Q2 FY22

    Mumbai: Sun TV Network has released its results for the financial quarter ended on 30 September. The media company has reported revenue collection of Rs 828.67 crore up by ~9.59 per cent compared to the corresponding quarter in 2020. 

    The company’s advertising revenue increased by ~39.84 per cent to reach Rs 341.77 crore. It reported profit after tax of Rs 393.32 crore up by 13.71 per cent. EBITDA for the quarter stood at Rs 520.58 crore as against Rs 502.03 crore in the corresponding quarter in 2020.  

    Sun TV Network is one of the largest TV broadcasters in India and operates channels in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bangla and Marathi, airs FM radio stations across India and owns the Sunrisers Hyderabad Cricket Franchise of the Indian Premier League.

    National Geographic introduces new programming block ‘Case Files’ with Sharad Kelkar

    Mumbai: National Geographic dives deeper into investigative genre with a new programming block called “Case Files” with actor and presenter Sharad Kelkar. This block premieres on 8 November and brings intriguing narratives of real investigations around the world. The segment will air every Monday to Friday starting at 8 p.m.

    The programming includes “Air Crash Investigations,” “Banged Up Abroad,” “Airport Security,” “To Catch A Smuggler,” along with new series such as “Undercover Asia & Crime Science,” host Sharad Kelkar will set up the tone and conclude every episode.

    Undercover Asia – This award-winning investigative series exposes the secret criminal underbelly of Asia. Within depth, undercover reporting, National Geographic explores gripping stories of crime, violence and injustice across the world’s largest continent. From cybercrime masterminded in North Korea to document forgers in Thailand; from fake degree scams in Pakistan to private detectives in China the cases are intriguing also because they uncover aspects of society usually kept undercover.

    Mumbai: Krishnan Kutty is named as executive vice president and head of Tamil, Malayalam and Marathi (TV and OTT) at Star and Disney India. He was previously the business head for Star Vijay.

    Kutty is an experienced media professional who has been in the industry for 22 years out of which 16 years were spent with Star TV Network. He previously had stints with Mindshare, NDTV and Hutch before joining Star in 2005 as vice president – research and on air. While he was heading Star India’s Tamil language business, he was responsible for growing market share by four times and revenues by three times in four years.  

    He completed his graduation from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) and his MBA in marketing from Indian School of Business.

    Sony Sports channels to broadcast ‘WWE Crown Jewel’ on 21 October

    Mumbai: Sony Pictures Sports Network (SPSN) will telecast the return of ‘WWE Crown Jewel,’ the final event before the changes of the WWE draft goes into effect for both ‘Raw’ and ‘SmackDown.’ The mega-event will take place in Saudi Arabia on 21 October and the live studio show will be broadcasted at 8:30 p.m IST and the main event will begin at 9:30 p.m IST, shared the channel. 

    “The event will be broadcasted live on Sony Ten 1 channels in English, Sony Ten 3 channels in Hindi and Sony Ten 4 channels in Tamil and Telugu as well as livestreamed on OTT platform SonyLIV. The main event will be preceded by a live studio show “Extraaa Dhamaal” which will feature WWE Legend and hall of fame, Booker T, who will interact with fans and answer their questions on ‘WWE Crown Jewel,’ live on the show,” said the statement.

    The third installment of the WWE pay-per-view (PPV) event will see the return of WWE superstar, Brock Lesnar after he challenged Roman Reigns at the end of ‘SummerSlam 2021.’ Both superstars will be seen in the title match of ‘WWE Crown Jewel 2021’ with Roman Reigns defending his universal championship title.

    The event also provides for an interesting match card with another championship match where SmackDown women’s champion Becky Lynch will engage in a triple threat bout with Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks. The Scottish warrior, Drew McIntyre will also seek to reclaim his lost WWE title against the current title-holder, Big E, who will defend his title for the first time at a major PPV event, making it an explosive showdown. Goldberg and Bobby Lashley will also be seen in a no-holds-barred match. Viewers will also witness yet another Raw tag team match between SmackDown winners RK-Bro (Randy Orton and Riddle) and former winners AJ Styles and Omos at the event.

    Apart from the above matches, the event will also feature an iconic hell-in-a-cell match between long-standing rivals, Edge and Seth Rollins. ‘WWE Crown Jewel 2021’ will also host the finals of the ‘King of the Ring’ tournament as well as the ‘Queen’s Crown Tournament,’ making it symbolically apt to crown the new king and the queen at the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

    Mumbai: Lifestyle channel Zee Zest has announced a new show “Junior Menu” with celebrity chef, food expert and writer Pankaj Bhadouria. The show is scheduled to begin on 21 October, every Thursday to Friday at 1:30 p.m.

    “Junior Menu” seeks to address one of the most difficult parts of parenting, especially for working mothers, which is to provide their children with a wholesome diet despite hectic work schedules. It is all set to surprise and tempt kids with unique ideas and a creative take on food, nudging them to explore and try new foods and Bhadouria also highlights the importance of certain fruits and vegetables through the show, said the channel in a statement.

    Mumbai: Sony BBC Earth is set to air “Serengeti II” on 18 October at 9 p.m, from Monday to Friday.

    Narrated by Academy Award-winning actress of “Star Wars” and “Black Panther” fame Lupita Nyong’o and Produced by John Downer and Simon Fuller, the show captures the dramatic and emotionally interconnected stories of the iconic savannah animals, from the unspoiled corner of Africa.

    The second part of the series continues to highlight heartwarming stories of the African wildlife from Bakari the baboon, Kali the lioness, a family of leopards with their adorable cubs, and many new animal characters. The six-episode series touches upon different phases of these animal characters, revealing their unique relationship dynamics, behavior, strengths, and weaknesses.
