PhonePe unveils new brand campaign on motor insurance renewals

Mumbai: PhonePe has launched an integrated multi-media brand campaign focused on tension-free motor insurance renewals. The campaign drives awareness around the benefits of renewing motor insurance tension-free on PhonePe.

The campaign was designed by The Script Room agency and is produced by Zig Zag. It highlights real, everyday problems that consumers face with sales pitches that have now become an unpleasant purchase experience.

It is a pan-India campaign that will be launched in a phase-wise manner with eight ad films in total.

Focused on category creation and driving consideration for motor insurance renewals on the PhonePe platform, this campaign inspires consumers to question the way bike and car insurance are traditionally sold to them. It uses creatives specially crafted for Hindi-speaking audiences in the north markets, starring Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt, while for the south markets of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, the campaign features Dulquer Salmaan.

The light-hearted series of films highlights how, with PhonePe, consumers don’t have to settle for unwanted sales calls, unnecessary add-ons, and other limited options. Both bike and car insurance products on the platform come with a wide range of options that empower consumers to choose the best price.

It also gives potential buyers the power to choose any add-ons rather than setting them as defaults. Once done, the insurance is renewed instantly, does not need an in-person inspection, and is available at affordable prices. This conscious brand stance makes the purchase experience simple, easy, and tension-free while also setting PhonePe apart in this category.

Speaking on the launch of this new brand campaign, PhonePe director of brand marketing Ramesh Srinivasan said, “Based on our recent consumer research, we have been able to identify some of the current challenges in the insurance industry. The results highlight a general discontent from a consumer point of view with unwanted sales calls or unnecessary add-ons. We have built our latest motor insurance campaign sharply on these consumer insights to invest in our audience’s needs. At PhonePe, we have eliminated the problem of consumers facing unsolicited sales calls, thereby keeping up the product promise of ‘tension-free insurance’ on the platform. We have also continued with our brand approach of driving localised connect with our audiences with not one but two separate campaigns for the north and south Indian markets with a full 360 media mix.”

  • Ozone, Dentsu Impact launch latest campaign ‘Hum Sab Sambhal Lenge’

Ozone, Dentsu Impact launch latest campaign ‘Hum Sab Sambhal Lenge’

Mumbai: Ozone, in partnership with Dentsu Impact has launched its latest campaign called ‘Hum Sab Sambhal Lenge.’ While most German kitchen hardware brands want us to dream of kitchens like five-star lobbies, through this campaign, Ozone takes a more pragmatic and honest look at what a real Indian kitchen is.

Conceptualised and executed by Dentsu Impact, a dentsuMB Company and the creative agency from the house of dentsu Creative India, the series of five quirky and honest films are individual stories of people in the kitchen in a microformat. They remind us of how our kitchens are a different ball game altogether from the dreamy advertisements we are fed.

The films beautifully capture these slices of life, emphasising that the brand understands the consumer efficiently. They showcase kitchens witnessing pots and pans flying in moments of passion and where the in-house brat pulls out the drawer to play the harmonium. With this, the brand underlines the stringent testing that the products undergo, which gives it the confidence to promise that no matter what happens ‘Hum Sab Sambhaal Lenge.’

“Our products are designed for long-lasting use. They are durable, and elegant and are tested stringently to work in demanding kitchens. Much like the conditions the films capture,” commented Ozone Overseas president Abhishek Aggarwal. “We usher in world-class quality and support to a market that today is ready and is discerning. We want them to know that we understand them like no other.”

“The expression ‘Hum Sab Sambhal Lenge’ gives confidence to the TG that no matter what kind of pressure they put on the kitchen hardware, Ozone will handle all of it since it understands Indian kitchen and usage,” said Dentsu Impact executive VP Ujjwal Anand, adding that, “In a market that is driven by a retailer’s recommendation and push, ‘Hum Sab Sambhaal Lenge’ is equivalent to ‘Arre sir! Main baitha hoon yahan’ ‘Main keh raha hoon na sir’ ‘Aankh band kar ke le jao’. The articulation gives the assurance to the consumers of the quality and at the same time helps retailers with a whole new pitch.”

“Unlike German kitchens, a plank most of the leading players use, the Indian kitchen with large extended families is accessed by everyone – kids, grandparents, maids and cooks. From Chintu the brat to Pinki the angry teen. Also, everyone has their own style of operating the kitchen, which entails quite a bit of careless and rough usage. In many families, kitchens never stop functioning,” remarked  Dentsu Impact executive creative director Mayank Khattar. “Imagine then the load on it; and to depict that, we carefully picked up a family setting with each of its members accessing the kitchen in their signature way and for their own needs. The films are all about these people subjecting the kitchen to any treatment they deem fit.”

  • An ode to the Un-disputed gods of the new world

An ode to the Un-disputed gods of the new world

MUMBAI: Power is not wielded from corner offices. Success no longer wears only pin stripes. Nor does it just sit in high rises of glass and chrome. The latest Ballantine’s communication raises a toast to the entrepreneurial spirit of this new breed who are redefining the codes of corporate success. Unorthodox, intrepid and bold in its very visual language, the latest campaign by Ballantine’s aims to acknowledge their audacious spirit with aspirational authenticity.

The new Ballantine’s campaign is an ode to these ‘Uns’ – symbols of the fearless new corporate tribe. So there is no one hero in the film. The protagonists are many, diverse and represent corporate success across unconventional walks of life. Fearless, bold and not disheartened by temporary glitches, their strength lies in their uniqueness. They’re holding their ground in un-stereotypical ways; scripting success in unimagined fields and professions.

Even the media use and spread of the campaign is as sharply defined. Talking as it does to and about a highly connected, digital savvy audience, the campaign makes adept use of television, social media and digital platforms to convey the spirit of Ballantine’s. Ballantine’s audience’s experimental spirit and sense of identity expressed through self-belief has a seamless brand connect. Ballantine’s is a spirit that has stayed true to its character since its very origins in 1827. Unswayed by competition, unchanged by changing times, its self-belief has remained unsullied. Armed with great self-conviction, Ballantine’s has always taken the world head on, chin-up, with a no-retreat-ever attitude. Perhaps reason why, few can match its unbeatable performance and position in the market.

Kartik Mohindra, Chief Marketing Officer, Pernod Ricard India, put it very succinctly: “These are the times of the unconventional. Unawed by the norms, their entrepreneurial spirit is redefining the codes of success. Their ambitions are global and undefined by boundaries. Not content to step into anyone’s shoes, they script success stories on self-belief. Powerhouses of talent, they are challengers of the stereotype. They are dreamers who are doers. Undiluted in intent, they are upending the dos and don’ts of the expected. With great success. Ballantine’s and this film is an ode to these heroes.”

Nitin Srivastava, Group Creative Director, Ogilvy India said, “The new world order and success itself belongs to this new breed of disrupters of the typical. Decisive and determined, they are the new wealth creators in hitherto unimagined fields. By applying a sharp business acumen to their passions, they are creating new business empires. A boldness of vision on the part of the client inspired the team to push the boundaries. Together, it led us to script unusual stories of success with a dramatic new visual language”.
