    MUMBAI – Konami Digital Entertainment, B.V (KONAMI) announced a new eFootball campaign for its Indian audience, running from August to October 2025 and culminating in a special Meet & Greet event in Mumbai this December. The high-energy initiative celebrates India’s Independence Day and Diwali, featuring tournaments, exclusive content drops, and rewards, alongside appearances from top Indian sports and cultural icons.

    The campaign will include two major tournaments – The Independence Day Cup and The Diwali Cup – offering fans the chance to engage with a stellar lineup including cricket star KL Rahul, football icon Sunil Chhetri, content creator Focused Indian, rising cricket talent Nitish Kumar Reddy, and actor Ahan Shetty.

    In a first-of-its-kind creative collaboration, Konami has also partnered with renowned visual artist and illustrator Santanu Hazarika for an Independence Day surprise for all the eFootball fans.

    Speaking on the development, Konami’s eFootball general producer Junichi Taya said, “India continues to be one of the most exciting gaming communities for us globally, and this campaign is our way of celebrating and voicing that energy — through festivals, football, and fandom. Our commitment to our Indian community is paramount to us. Through a host of partnerships, we are leveraging some of the biggest names in Indian sport and culture with activations aimed at celebrating “INDIA’’. As the industry continues to grow in India, we are seeking to lead the way forward through eFootball.”

    Mumbai: Konami Digital Entertainment, B.V. Konami is set to bring the vibrant spirit of Holi to its flagship football simulation, efootball, with a special campaign running from 1 to 26 March 2025. The initiative will highlight India’s thriving efootball community, featuring national football captain Gurpreet Singh Sandhu and renowned esports player Jonathan Gaming.

    The campaign, which bridges mainstream football and esports, will see Jonathan Gaming play a key role in community engagement, while Sandhu is expected to make a significant announcement during the event. Other top gaming personalities involved include Gamerfleet, Sharkshe, RK Reddy, Snax, and Eagle Gaming.

    At the heart of the celebration is the ‘Goal Ke Rang’ efootball tournament, where players will compete for the title of India’s efootball champion and a €1,000 prize pool. Additional in-game campaigns exclusive to India will also be unveiled.

    Expressing his enthusiasm, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu stated, “Football and gaming both require skill, strategy, and passion, qualities that unite players on and off the pitch. This campaign is an exciting way to celebrate Holi with fans and bring that competitive spirit to efootball.”

    Mumbai: The ‘eFootball Diwali Showdown,’ a special influencer tournament organised by Nodwin Gaming and Konami Digital Entertainment, concluded with S8UL Aman as the champion.

    Eight prominent Indian gaming personalities, including Dreamboy, Yes Smarty Pie, Ezio18Rip, Sid, Senpai Spider, K18, Binks, and Aman, competed in group and knockout stages.

    To celebrate Diwali, Konami announced special in-game rewards for Indian gamers. Players can log in to eFootball and earn exclusive Diwali-themed rewards, including unique player packs featuring stars from the Indian football team and special Diwali-themed jerseys available only during the festive period.

    Tournament participants K18, Senpai Spider, and Yes Smarty Pie will stream matches for fans on their individual YouTube channels. These initiatives demonstrate Konami’s commitment to India’s growing mobile gaming market. As a free-to-play title, eFootball provides open access to gamers of all backgrounds.

    Recently, eFootball was selected by FIFA as an official title for the FIFAe World Cup, with India among 18 participating countries. Additionally, eFootball will be featured in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’s WAVES Esports Championship 2025 (WESC), enhancing its relevance in India’s gaming landscape. Earlier this year, Konami announced that eFootball has surpassed 700 million total downloads worldwide.

    MUMBAI:  Adding to its digital distribution dominance, 4K Media Inc., the Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. subsidiary that manages the licensing and marketing of the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand, and its distribution partner Cinedigm have announced that the brand has added  a number of  SVOD/VOD partners in Europe to its already impressive roster of global digital partnerships.

    Among 4K Media’s latest digital media distribution agreements are:

    Germany:

    236 German-language episodes of the complete series “Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters” and 155 German-language episodes of the complete series “Yu-Gi-Oh! GX,” in cooperation with the German distribution partner KSM GmbH, have been licensed to:

    RTL networks’s German online portal ClipFish

    Maxdome, the SVOD platform owned by Prosieben Sat 1. Media

    My Video, one of Germany’s most popular online video destinations, also owned by  Prosieben Sat 1. Media

    Italy:

    TIM will be offering its TIMvision’s subscribers all 49 episodes of “Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V” Season 1, the latest series from the franchise.

    Multi-Territory Agreements:

    Crunchyroll, the U.S. based international online community focused on streaming Asian media with a special emphasis on anime and manga, has expanded its worldwide (outside of Asia) distribution arrangement with 4K Media with the addition of the original, uncut Japanese-language versions of “Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters” and “Yu-Gi-Oh! GX” series with English subtitles.

    4K Media joins leading Hollywood studios in partnering with Tubi TV (www.tubitv.com), the world’s largest and fastest-growing — free and legal — video app on Connected TV devices, Mobile, and the Web. The free, video-on-demand service has licensed 154 original and uncut episodes of “Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s” with English subtitles, as well as 123 English-language episodes of the series. 

    In commenting on the digital distribution partnerships, Mark Kirk, 4K Media Senior Vice President, Digital Operations, said:  “We’re thrilled to have episodes of the various

    This latest round of digital distribution agreements expands 4K Media’s vast number of existing streaming partnerships for the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, including Hulu (US), Netflix (multi-territory), ClaroVideo (Latin America) and TV4 (Sweden), among others.

    The Yu-Gi-Oh! animated franchise, with over 700 episodes available in up to 15 local languages, consists of the original “Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters,” “Yu-Gi-Oh! GX,” “Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s,” “Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL” and the newest installment, “Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V,” as well as the highly popular Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game, video games, licensed product and feature films.
