    MUMBAI: Reshmy Warrier has rejoined WPP Media as head of business planning and operations for Mindshare’s Unilever account, marking a homecoming after more than 14 years shaping content strategy at Star and Zee5.

    Warrier will steer advanced planning, strategic insights, product development and automation for WPP’s Team Unilever, bringing a mix of media savvy and data-driven flair to one of the world’s most powerful brand portfolios.

    She spent nearly six years at Zee5 as senior vice-president of global content strategy and platform operations, driving a 30 per cent surge in SVOD conversions and an 8 per cent rise in viewership. Earlier, at Star, she led strategy and programming for the English entertainment business, keeping shows like MasterChef Australia and Koffee with Karan at the top of the ratings.

    This is Warrier’s third stint at WPP Media and her second at Mindshare Fulcrum, where she once handled Unilever’s beauty and haircare brands, managing a Rs 200-crore media budget and executing high-profile campaigns such as Dove’s “Hair Damage Meter” and India’s first logo-based augmented reality ad.

    Her career began in outdoor advertising with Cactus Imaging and Kinetic Worldwide before moving into client leadership at Mindshare. Warrier described the move as “a new chapter powered by AI, tech and data to deliver impact-driven solutions for Unilever.”

    Mumbai: Disney+ Hotstar today announced three Indian titles at the global Disney fan event D23 Expo. The new lineup includes the talk show Koffee with Karan (Season 8), along with Showtime and Mahabharata. On September 9-11, D23 Expo will be held at the Anaheim Convention Centre in Anaheim, California.

    This announcement further strengthens the platform’s collaboration with ace Bollywood producer, director, actor, and host Karan Johar (Koffee with Karan and Showtime), and mints a new association with maverick producer Madhu Mantena, Mythoversestudios, and Allu Entertainment (Mahabharata).

    Koffee with Karan (Season 8) is produced by Karan Johar, Apporva Mehta and Aneesha Baig, Dharmatic Entertainment Production and Showtime is produced by Karan Johar, Apporva Mehta and Somen Mishra, A Dharmatic Entertainment Production.

    Mumbai: Disney+ Hotstar has sold 100 per cent of its ad inventory for the upcoming season seven of the country’s beloved chat show – Koffee with Karan. The latest season is scheduled to begin streaming on 7 July.

    After seven successful seasons, the upcoming season of Koffee with Karan, sponsored by eight brands, will stream exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar. The show will be co-powered by Ajio Luxe and Bru while Amazon Alexa, BoAt and Only Natural Diamonds will be special partners. Just like its previous seasons, the show will be propelled by its driving partner, Audi and its lighting partner will be Jaquar Bath+ Light. India’s premium makeup platform, MyGlamm will serve as the presenting sponsor.

    In a quest to offer a bigger, better and more transcendental show to its viewers, season seven, hosted by the iconic Bollywood personality, Karan Johar, will infuse new segments and deeper conversations.     MUMBAI: The controversial remarks made by cricketer Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul have cost them a lot. While BCCI has suspended the duo from playing any form of cricket until final adjudication of the matter, the brands associated with them have also started reviewing their associations.

    Gillette India has already suspended its association with Hardik Pandya, who was appointed as the brand ambassador for men’s shaving razor Gillette Mach3 just a few months back. In an official statement, a Gillette spokesperson stated, “Hardik Pandya’s recent comments do not reflect the values of Gillette. We have suspended our association with Hardik until we decide on further course of action.”

    As per certain other media reports, other brands associated with the cricketers are also in the process of reviewing their terms. While Hardik Pandya endorses brands such as Gillette and D:FY, Puma’s sportswear brand, KL Rahul is associated with names like Puma and Curefit.

    Meanwhile, online streaming platform Hotstar has taken down the controversial episode from its site.

    MUMBAI: Koffee with Karan season 6’s latest episode, which featured Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul was the most talked about episode on social media. The duo has not just been criticised on social media but has also displeased the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) by making sexist remarks on the show.

    The episode was aired last Sunday on Star World and was available on Star’s OTT platform Hotstar. However, currently all the other episodes of Koffee with Karan are available except for the one that featured Pandya and Rahul.

    The cricketers have now been served with a notice, where they have to give an explanation and based on the explanation, they might be banned from playing cricket. CoA member Diana Edulji has already sought legal opinion and will be talking to BCCI top brass over the possible ban.

    After receiving the notice, Pandya apologised tweeting, "After reflecting on my comments on Koffee with Karan, I would like to apologise to everyone concerned who I may have hurt in any way. Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show. In no way did I mean to disrespect or hurt anyone's sentiments. Respect." Rahul hasn’t given any public statement with regard to his involvement in the show

    MUMBAI: Koffee with Karan’s latest season that premiered on 21st October has moved from strength to strength, garnering an unprecedented viewership of 6.2Mn in Week 1, across TV & Hotstar, up 114% from last year. The television viewership on Star World and Star World HD stood at 3.1 Mn viewers (BARC 2+ U+R).

    On Hotstar the viewership has grown by 134% to 3.1 Mn viewers in week 1, with audiences engaging deeply with the show on the platform, spending 38 mins on an average watching the first episode.

    Koffee with Karan has always been uniquely positioned to reach the most discerning of audiences, with NCCS A contributing 74% of the viewership and cities Mumbai and Delhi drawing 62% of the viewership on the show. It remains the most-watched show in the English Entertainment category (BARC NCCS AB, 15+, 1Mn +) with the first episode leading by a 39.7% margin[1] across October.

    In a first for the category in India, Star World is partnering with global social media platform, Snapchat to create ‘Koffee Filters’. Leaving an enormous digital footprint, the campaign garnered over 1.2 billion impressions in the build up to the launch on Twitter, with hashtags that trended pan India for two days leading up to the premiere of the season.
