    Nivea India gets new sales director in Srikanth Iyer

    MUMBAI: He loves reading and sharing his thoughts about leadership. Former Kimberly-Clarke sales director Srikanth Iyer has hopped over to Nivea India with the same title. With a career of more than 16 years spent in sales, Iyer has had tenures with various multinational and Indian companies.

    The BE in computer science Mumbai university and IMT Ghaziabad PGDM in marketing joined Patni Computer System out of college, and then got into selling beer while at Sab Miller as area manager. He then spent a good six years at Pepsico looking after the Mumbai territory’s sales and customer marketing before developing a sweet tooth and joining Mondelez handling Eclairs, Halls,  Bournvita and Tang for a year and some months before being given charge of the largest territory for the company.

    Opportunity came his way from Himalayan Wellness Co to take over as business head for Bangladesh. He gladly took it up  and led a team of 500 across functions and developed the market for Himalaya face care , body care, hair care, baby care and animal care products. A position he held for two years.

    A short stint of less than a year followed at Metro Wholesale India which he joined as senior vice-president head of sales and marketing. He then joined Kimberly Clark India as sales director leading the company’s sales strategy and its execution.

    “Srikanth has led route-to-market transformations, implemented alternate distribution models, and partnered on product innovation. Over his career, he has built high-performing teams that drove profitability and achieved significant market share gains across categories such as personal care, baby care, wellness, and retail, establishing himself as a results-driven FMCG leader,” said Nivea India in a post on linkedin. “ At Nivea  India, Srikanth will lead our sales strategies, strengthen distribution networks, and enhance market presence, supporting our mission to provide trusted skincare solutions to consumers across the country.”

    Kimberly-Clark appoints Radhika Tomar as CHRO

    Mumbai: FMCG brand Kimberly-Clark on Thursday announced the appointment of Radhika Tomar as chief human resources officer (CHRO).

    In her new role, Tomar will lead Kimberly-Clark’s human resources strategy, focused on transformation, cultural development, talent management, D&I initiatives and continued growth. She will work closely with the leadership team and look after employee and stakeholder engagement, alongside talent development, underscoring the company’s aim to be the employer of choice in India.

    “With Tomar joining Kimberly-Clark, the company now proudly boasts of 45 per cent diversity, with four out of nine women in leadership positions, further strengthening its commitment towards D&I,” said the statement.

    With a career spanning across 15 years, Tomar joins Kimberly-Clark after having served at Dyson as global head of learning and development. Her diverse experience in human resources and talent development also includes stints with multinational giants like Microsoft, McKinsey, and Aon Hewitt.

    Welcoming Tomar on board, Kimberly-Clark India’s MD, Mainak Dhar said, “At K-C, we believe in providing an inclusive and safe work environment while hiring a diverse workforce, that is beneficial to the growth of our business.     Her inherent leaning towards fashion and style, led her to the role of a Fashion Stylist at NBC in 2005 and more recently, at Condé Nast India where she led the Condé Nast factory – a content vertical for the publishing group.

    ‘Mindshare Day’ Celebrated Around the Globe

    MUMBAI: Mindshare globally recognized 15 January as Mindshare Day and celebrated it by announcing its refreshed global positioning: original thinking driven by speed, provocation and teamwork. In Asia Pacific, the network held a region-wide video conference call where 17 countries and 24 offices – from Karachi to Sydney – dialed in to share thoughts and ideas around the new vision.

     

    Five years ago, Mindshare moved away from the conventional media agency structure and redesigned itself around four integrated and interactive divisions – Client Leadership (account management), The Exchange (media buying), Invention (strategy and ideation) and Business Planning (data and analytics). In a similar way, Mindshare has now redefined its brand positioning to the rest of the world, and aims to bring to life its promise of being the fastest, most collaborative and most adaptive media agency.

     

    In 2013, Mindshare won the Agency Network of the Year award at the Campaign Agency of the Year awards, Festival of Media Asia and the APAC Smarties organized by the Mobile Marketing Association. Mindshare was also recognized by over 200 awards across the region at local and regional levels for clients including Unilever, Kimberly-Clark, Nestlé, Nike, Cisco, Hong Kong Disneyland and many more.

     

    Mindshare has the youngest and most diverse CEO profile in the region, with Australia’s Katie Rigg-Smith being the first woman to lead a media agency in Australia, and Amrita Randhawa taking the lead of Mindshare China at the age of 35.

     

    The agency also brought in large pieces of business in 2013 – including NAB, Origin Energy and Nike in Australia, booking.com in China and Dyson across the region. Cosmetics giant L’Oréal and pharmaceutical giant GSK were successfully retained in all markets, and the former was added to Mindshare Korea’s portfolio.

     

    It was also a successful year in terms of partnerships for Mindshare. The agency partnered with Geometry Global and Ogilvy Action to create ECC (Emerging Class Consumers) – a comprehensive framework and communications planning tool for rural areas in Asia. This has been implemented with Unilever and Friesland Campina in Vietnam, and will be expanded in 2014.

     

    Another exciting partnership was with McLaren F1 Racing at Cannes, where Nick Emery, Mindshare Global CEO and McLaren F1 racing driver Jenson Button shared the stage to talk about the importance of being adaptive – whether on the race track or in advertising. Mindshare drove yet another innovative partnership between Manchester United and Unilever, where Unilever became the club’s first official Personal Care and Laundry partner in South East Asia. In a mobile study conducted towards the second half of the year, Mindshare toured the region with Yahoo! to share findings of a smart device study that could change the way clients think about mobile altogether.
