    Mumbai: Track him, find him, kill him! In another action-packed, thrilling adventure The Expendables 4 is coming to Indian theaters on 22 September 2023. Swinging heavily with a star-studded cast like no other, the fourth installment of the cult franchise is stacked with the likes of Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Liam Neeson, Steven Seagal, and even 50 Cent!     Keanu Reeves plays a samurai in ‘Ronin 47’

    MUMBAI: The movie by Universal will have Reeves playing a Japanese warrior. Four posters for the movie have been released showing the samurai with a sword. The movie is due to be released on Christmas this year.

     

    Based on a true account of the 47 Ronin, the film directed by Carl Rinsch, will have fantastical elements like sorcery and witchcraft. The posters that are out are labelled as ‘outcast, warrior, freak and witch’.

    Keanu Reeves‘ globally acclaimed ‘Side By Side’ to open 0110 International Digital Film Festival

    NEW DELHI: The globally acclaimed documentary ‘Side by Side’ produced by Keanu Reeves and directed by Christopher Kenneally will be the opening film at the 0110 International Digital Film Festival 2013 (IDDF 2013).

    A high profile jury including Kabir Khan, Vinay Pathak and Sudhir Mishra among other eminent names will adjudge the films.

    The fifth edition of this festival will be held from 26 January to 1 February at The India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, where the focus would be more on movie screenings, and then travel to Whistling Woods¸ Mumbai, from 2 February till 8 February, where there would also be a week long itinerary of industry workshops and seminars in addition to the screenings.

    This year, like in the previous editions, the festival is slated to draw big names including industry figureheads such as Sudhir Mishra, Anurag Kashyap, Q (Qaushik Mukherjee – director of Gandu), Roysten Able, Vikram Bhatt and renowned Hollywood producer Jason Kilot, amongst others.

    Festival director Madhureeta Anand said: “The festival is not limited to competing and screening of cinema, it is a destination for genuine cinema centric education with interactive workshops and seminars headed by some of the most prominent names of the fraternity. 0110 IDFF’s core aim is to promote the all pervasive digital medium of cinema but more importantly to bridge the gap between indigenous and international cinema. Creating a common platform for liberal interactions and exchange, broadening the horizon of Indian cinema and film makers as a whole.” Anand conceived the festival.

    “The success of any endeavour lies in the amalgamation of the new and the old” she added.

    An annual event, 0110 IDFF is a platform which upholds the format of digital film making and acknowledges the fact that digital format has metamorphosed in to a well-accepted medium from a limited medium of film making. It continues to be an exclusive medium of interaction between global filmmakers using the digital medium. The festival is categorized in such a way that that it touches all faculties of digital cinema which includes feature films, documentaries, films made by students, films shot on mobiles, digital art installations and animation and special effects.

    MUMBAI: “Constantine” tells the story of supernatural detective John Constantine (Keanu Reeves) who was born with the ability to clearly recognize the half-breed angels and demons that walk the earth in human skin. When he teams up with skeptical policewoman Angela Dodson (Rachel Weisz) to solve the mysterious suicide of her twin, their investigation takes them through the world of demons and angels in a catastrophic series of otherworldly events.

    Constantine stuck between Hell and Heaven takes the onus to save the world.

    MTV Movie Awards to honour Jim Carrey, Spike Lee

    MUMBAI: US broadcaster MTV has announced that it will honour actor Jim Carrey and director Spike Lee at the MTV Movie Awards which will air in the US on 8 June.

    Carrey will receive the MTV Generation Award for his career and acting roles that have captured and entertained MTV audiences for years.

    Tom Cruise was the first to receive the honour at last year’s Movie Awards ceremony. In addition, MTV will honour Spike Lee with the Silver Bucket of Excellence Award for his film Do The Right Thing

    The show will be hosted by Jessica Alba. Presenters at the awards will include Sandra Bullock, Keanu Reeves, Eva Mendes, Colin Farrell, Samuel L. Jackson and Matt Dillon.
