    IIFA Weekend & Awards: Abu Dhabi to host the 23rd edition of the event in Feb 2023

    Mumbai: The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Weekend And Awards, which brings together the best of the Indian film industry, will return to Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, in February 2023. IIFA 2023 will be held in collaboration with the department of culture and tourism in Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Miral, which creates immersive destinations and experiences.

    The 22nd edition of IIFA this year at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, was hosted by Salman Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Maniesh Paul. It had performances by talent from the Indian film fraternity. The three-day awards weekend was attended by more than 350 media from 17 countries across the globe, and more than 20,000 people thronged the arena.

    The 23rd edition of IIFA will again be hosted at the world-class Etihad Arena, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi—the Middle East’s largest state-of-the-art indoor entertainment venue in February 2023.     Mumbai: Disney+ Hotstar today announced three Indian titles at the global Disney fan event D23 Expo. The new lineup includes the talk show Koffee with Karan (Season 8), along with Showtime and Mahabharata. On September 9-11, D23 Expo will be held at the Anaheim Convention Centre in Anaheim, California.

    This announcement further strengthens the platform’s collaboration with ace Bollywood producer, director, actor, and host Karan Johar (Koffee with Karan and Showtime), and mints a new association with maverick producer Madhu Mantena, Mythoversestudios, and Allu Entertainment (Mahabharata).

    Koffee with Karan (Season 8) is produced by Karan Johar, Apporva Mehta and Aneesha Baig, Dharmatic Entertainment Production and Showtime is produced by Karan Johar, Apporva Mehta and Somen Mishra, A Dharmatic Entertainment Production.

    Disney Star head – content, Disney+ Hotstar & HSM Entertainment Network Gaurav Banerjee joined a panel on international content along with The Walt Disney Company chairman-international content and operations Rebecca Campbell, LATAM SVP, media distribution & production Fernando Barbosa, APAC head of content & development Jessica Kam-Engle, and EMEA director of scripted content Lee Mason.     Mumbai: Colors is now set to bring back its celebrity dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa after a hiatus of five years.

    Produced by BBC Studios India Production, the 10th season of this celebrity dance reality show is based on a BBC Studios global format.

    Presented by Patanjali Dantkanti with Mutual Funds Sahi Hai as special partner, the show is set to premiere on 3 September and will air every Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m. only on Colors.

    The iconic show follows the dancing journeys of celebrities from various walks of life as they let down their guards and ignite the dance floor.

    The show is supported by an enthralling cast of contestants who will be paired with talented choreographers who will pump up the energy and mentor them.

    After seven successful seasons, the upcoming season of Koffee with Karan, sponsored by eight brands, will stream exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar. The show will be co-powered by Ajio Luxe and Bru while Amazon Alexa, BoAt and Only Natural Diamonds will be special partners. Just like its previous seasons, the show will be propelled by its driving partner, Audi and its lighting partner will be Jaquar Bath+ Light.     Mumbai: Matrimonial platform IITIIMShaadi.com has announced Indian filmmaker Karan Johar as its brand ambassador. As a part of the association, the portal will release a series of digital campaigns starring the filmmaker across the digital platforms in the coming months, fuelling its messaging around finding someone with the same mental wavelength.

    IITIIMShaadi.com founder and CEO Taksh Gupta said the platform caters to the highly educated community when it comes to finding matrimonial matches. “Understanding the niche that we are trying to serve, we see the filmmaker Karan Johar as the perfect face to promote the brand,” Gupta added.
