Johnnie Walker Luxe Blended Water debuts ‘The Walkers List’

MUMBAI: For over 25 years, Keep Walking has been a rallying cry for bold progress and purposeful action. In its latest expression of this enduring philosophy, Johnnie Walker Luxe Blended Water presents The Walkers List — an avant garde cultural platform bringing together changemakers, creators and innovators all toward creating a movement that embraces the spirit of progress.

The Walkers List brings together a collective of celebrated individuals who challenge norms, reimagine possibilities, and leave a lasting imprint on their communities and the culture at large. At its heart, The Walkers List seeks to inspire purposeful action through collaboration, providing a stage for those who represent the virtue of never standing still.

The platform, in its inaugural edition, is supporting a collective of creative disruptors and collaborators that redefine boundaries and progress in the fields of art, dance, music, and fashion. So, get ready to experience:

. The Walkers Jersey by Virat Kohli x Saina Nehwal – A transformative collaboration that transcends sports to champion equality and progress. Co-created by two of India’s most celebrated sporting icons, this exclusive jersey embodies a powerful commitment to elevating women’s sports and creating equal opportunities. Designed not just for athletes but for every advocate who believes in gender equality in sports, The Walkers Jersey invites supporters to wear their values and walk alongside the change they wish to see.

. Paizār-e-Pashm by Babar Afzal × Aprajita Toor– A bold reimagining of artisanal heritage, where traditional cashmere pashmina craftsmanship meets culturally inspired yet modern footwear designs, to create a timeless impact. Proceeds from the sale of the footwear will go towards the upliftment of the sustainable cashmere pashmina shepherding and artisanal community by Pashmina Goat Project and an NGO supporting handicraft artists in keeping alive traditional arts of India.

. Dhwani by Shilo Shiv Suleman × Colleena Shakti – An immersive art installation that brings together handcrafted metalwork and responsive movement to create a living expression of “keep walking”. This installation was successfully showcased on 27th July, 2025, at Snowball Studios, Worli. This collaboration celebrates community and craft, featuring master Lohar artisans from Jaipur and local Odissi dancers who worked closely to blend traditional Indian metalworking and dance techniques with contemporary vision. The 250-kilogram golden spiral installation transcends static art through movement, light, and human connection, while creating sustainable opportunities for craftsmen and preserving cultural heritage.

. The Planet Song by Ricky Kej × Rashmeet Kaur – A powerful sonic exploration advocating for sustainability and social change through genre-defying track by a Grammy award winning artist and an innovator on traditional folk music forms from India.

With these bold new creations, The Walkers List ignites a powerful cultural shift — inviting audiences to discover how purpose-driven collaborations and fearless creativity are shaping the future, one boundary-breaking idea at a time.

“Johnnie Walker Blended Luxe Water believes progress is never a solo journey. The Walkers List was created to champion individuals who are challenging conventions and shaping the future through creativity and community impact,” said Diageo India CMO Ruchira Jaitly (USL). “With this initiative, we bring the Keep Walking narrative to life — not just through words, but through impactful, positive action.”

Discovery Network launches The Man Who Walked Around the World

MUMBAI: Discovery has launched The Man Who Walked Around the World, award-winning director Anthony Wonke’s new feature documentary about Scotch whisky brand Johnnie Walker.

The independent film, created by Something Originals and produced by multi-award-winning production company Partizan, tells a powerful story of positivity and resilience – exploring how, over two centuries, the brand navigated floods, flu pandemics and World Wars, while making a stand on racial and gender inequality along the way.

“This is the story of Johnnie Walker but it’s more than just a story about whisky, it’s about culture and the universal need to be able to look to the future with hope. That’s what makes it so powerful – it’s not a history lesson, it’s a story for where we are today and what we need to go forward”, says Wonke.

The Academy Award-nominated, Emmy and BAFTA-winning director/producer, whose previous documentary subjects include Cristiano Ronaldo, Star Wars and AP McCoy, has spent a large part of his time in lockdown uncovering previously untold stories and perspectives on how Johnnie Walker has constantly overcome adversity with optimism, to cement its place in culture as a global icon.

Among a vast roster of contributors is actor, activist and brand ambassador Sophia Bush: “People don’t just want new products that impact their lives; they want brands that impact the world positively. Johnnie Walker has recognised that and continually acted on it through impactful campaigns and programs. They are prepared to tug at the arc of history and help push culture forward and I am deeply proud to have been on this journey with them in support of their gender equality efforts in particular.”

Bush is joined by the likes of Wu-Tang Clan’s Cappadonna, rock musician Zakk Wylde, 88rising’s Sean Miyashiro, advertising legend Sir John Hegarty and many more as we see the brand’s cultural impact from Myanmar to Brazil, from India to Iraq.

Discovery VP Content Sourcing and Acquisitions Myriam Lopez-Otazu said: “We’re thrilled to be premiering The Man Who Walked Around the World on Discovery platforms and services this November. It’s a fascinating story and, given where we are in the world right now, a really timely one.”

Diageo Global Scotch director John Williams added, “Our story is one we’re immensely proud of. We stand for something in Johnnie Walker and that something is progress – we’re always looking to move forward, to make the next day better than the one before. Over two centuries we’ve learned that progress needs resilience and optimism, those are the ideals that lie behind our Keep Walking philosophy and I can’t imagine a time when that philosophy could be any more relevant.”

Something Originals managing partner Andy Hewitt said, “Imagining, filming and editing this documentary in the context of a global pandemic, with all of the tensions that this year has brought to the surface, gives this story a profound contemporary relevance that I don’t think anybody could have fully appreciated when we first came up with the idea for the documentary. We couldn’t be prouder of the finished product.”

  • Best moment marketing trends of 2019

Best moment marketing trends of 2019

DELHI: Brands have always been serious about their marketing plans. They spend months strategising their campaigns, involve the best of the technicians and talents to aid the creative process, and try to come out with communications that build trust among their target consumers. But the changing times and technologies have transformed this completely. The new-age consumer has the attention span lesser than that of a gold fish, and often ends up skipping the ads that a marketer had spent a good few months of his life in curating.

The consumer of today believes in living in the moment and brands have to catch them in that exact time span. And this has given rise to an influx of creativity on social media platforms, the second homes of the new-age customers, in the form of moment marketing. While earlier this was fixed for some particular occasions like festivals and elections, year 2019 saw brands leveraging every small and big moment that was breaking the internet. From the series finale of Game of Thrones to the expensive bananas that Rahul Bose had to eat, from Delhi smog to Indian men’s cricket team bowling the ‘pink ball’ for the first time in an international match, everything became a creative field for the brands and their creative agencies.

On the first day of the year, here’s a look-back on the most interesting moment marketing trends and top brands’ take on it!

    Game of Thrones Finale

Game of Thrones was probably the best television show of the decade and had became a rage in the meme-world too with its initial seasons. But this year the craze was in multitudes as the show was wrapping up its journey forever. Though the season left many fans and cast members disappointed, the brands came out with some interesting campaigns.

    Durex India

    Swiggy

    Mother Dairy

    Yuvraj Singh’s Retirement

Yuvraj Singh is one of the most successful and loved Indian cricketers. The champion best remembered for his iconic six sixes in an over and his incredible performance in World Cup 2011 despite his ongoing battle with cancer announced his retirement from the international cricket in June this year and like his fans, some brands paid their tributes to the star in their own way.

    Zomato India

    Fevicol

    Indigo

    Pulse

Rahul Bose’s rendezvous with two expensive bananas

The most bizarre and hence most hilarious trend of the year was two expensive bananas served to actor Rahul Bose by JW Marriott in Chandigarh. As soon as Bose shared the photo of the bill amounting Rs 442.5 online, brands jumped the marketing bandwagon to cash on this momentous opportunity.

    Oyo

    Zomato India

    Amazon Prime Video India

    Arre

    Iphone 11’s triple camera feature

The launch of every iPhone is a meme fest for the netizens. From selling kidney jokes to takes on no massive updates from older versions, the internet sees it all. But this time, the fodder of the online discussion was the triple camera, which fed the imagination of the brands in ways unimaginable.

    Delhi’s Pollution

Delhi smog is one of the most trending events online for the past many years. The even-odd rule and increased sale of face masks are interesting talk points online. This time, the brands also came up with their creative best inputs to market themselves online in an unconventional manner.

    Manforce India

    Pee Safe

    Policy Bazaar

    Filter Copy

    Onion Prices

The economic turmoil going on in the country concerned everyone this year. The repurcussions were many including the sky-high prices of one of the basic staples in Indian diet, onion. While it worried all, the brands had their own way of using the situation to their benefit.
