The edge-of-the-seat-entertainment also explores personal fears of the characters from their past, which prove to be stronger than vampires, evil spirits and immortal beasts.

    AXN readies Midnight Screamathon for Halloween

    MUMBAI: English entertainment channel AXN will treat its viewers with supernatural surprises, gruesome imagery, gothic legend, psychological creepiness, and classic jump-out-of-your-seat moments this Halloween.

     

    The AXN Midnight Screamathon will air from 12 am on 31 October and 1 November, 2015.

     

    AXN will premier episodes of Penny Dreadful Season 2 all night long. In this horror-thriller by John Logan, some of literature’s most terrifying characters, like Dr. Frankenstein and his Creature, Dorian Gray, along with some of the iconic figures from the novel Dracula lurk in the darkest corners of Victorian London are joined by Vanessa Ives (Bond-girl Eva Green), Timothy Dalton (ex-Bond) and Josh Hartnett (30 Days of Night) who form unlikely alliances to hunt down greater evil.

     

    The channel will celebrate their Midnight Screamathon with its viewers by throwing midnight parties for the first time across Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore.

    Craig trashes report of two-part Bond film

    MUMBAI: British Daniel Craig has trashed reports of a possible two-part James Bond film after Skyfall. To prove his point, he has categorically said that there is no way a Bond film could be divided into two parts.
    “No, I don‘t know where that‘s come from. It‘s impossible to do a two parter, I heard that someone was talking about that we‘re doing a two parter, but that‘s the first I‘ve heard about it,” Craig said in a statement.
    “We can only do them one at a time, they take six months to shoot. You can‘t write one movie thinking about the next. All we‘re trying to do is get the next one sorted out and it‘ll stand on its own and if I‘m able I‘ll do another one after that,” he added.
    The 44-year-old has played 007 in the last three installments of the British spy film franchise.
    Rumors that Bond 24 and Bond 25 would present a storyline that crosses in two successive films first sparked when writer John Logan was confirmed to work on two more Bond films.
    The twenty-fourth installment will likely begin filming at Pinewood Studios next year and the film is projected for a fall 2014 release.

    MUMBAI: Brazilian model Ana Araujo has been tipped to become Daniel Craig‘s leading lady in Bond 23, the 23rd instalment of the 007 franchise.

    “Ana is really excited. It‘s all very new to her and she is optimistic about the prospect of landing the role. It‘s very much a case of watch this space,” a source from the production house said.

    The lady has also expressed a desire to work with Craig. “I‘m now focusing on acting. I‘ve got some major roles coming up. My ideal role would be to be a Bond girl and with Daniel Craig as my James Bond, he‘s perfect and very handsome,” she had said earlier.

    The Bond 23 project is still in its early phase of production and yet to get a title.The film is being directed by Sam Mendes with John Logan, Robert Wade and Neal Purvis penning the script.
