    Zee Studio brings the Indian TV premiere of ‘Ratchet & Clank’

    MUMBAI: It’s time to relive your childhood and Kick Some Asteroid! This Children’s Day, Zee Studio, the ultimate Hollywood movie destination, is all set to bring the Indian television premiere of the fun animated sci-fi film ‘Ratchet and Clank’. Based on the video game by the same name, the movie boasts of an amazing cast of voice talents like Sylvester Stallone, James Arnold Taylor, David Kaye, Paul Giamatti, John Goodman, Bella Thorne, and Rosario Dawson. The action-comedy hits your television screens on November 19, 2017 at 12 Noon and 9 PM only on Zee Studio.

    Directed by Kevin Munroe and Jericca Cleland, Ratchet and Clank follows the lives of the two protagonists, Ratchet the Lombax repair guy and his sentinel robotic friend Clank. The two unlikely heroes struggle to stop a nefarious alien named Chairman Drek from destroying every planet in the Solana Galaxy. When the two stumble upon a dangerous weapon capable of destroying planets entirely, they decide to join forces with a team of colourful heroes called The Galactic Rangers to save the galaxy. Along this thrilling journey they learn about heroism, friendship and the importance of discovering one’s own identity.

    Building up the excitement to its on-air, Zee Studio has curated a special property Wild@9 for all the animated movie buffs. Starting November 13 to 17, the channel will take its viewers on an adventurous week of power-packed blockbuster movies at 9 pm – How to train your dragon, Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar, Asterix and Megamind.

    MUMBAI: The team of The Monuments Men got an unprecedented access to photograph the cast of the movie in front of one of the world’s greatest art masterpieces – Leonardo Da Vinci’s The Last Supper.

     

    This art masterpiece was in danger of being lost during WWII and was rescued by the Monuments Men as depicted in the film, so there is a direct correlation to the film. These images have been shot exclusively for Fox by Italian photographer Gianmarco Chieregato.

     

    It became possible because of the cooperation among the Italian Ministry for Culture and Tourism, the Milan’s Monuments, Fine Arts and Landscape Department, and Twentieth Century Fox, the film distribution company.

     

    “The Magificent Seven” in the snapshot are: the director, screenwriter, producer and star of the film George Clooney and co-stars Matt Damon, Jean Dujardin, John Goodman, Bill Murray, Bob Balaban, and Dimitri Leonidas. 

     

    The Last Supper by Leonardo Da Vinci is the set of one of the opening scenes of the film that will release on 21 February, because the bombing that endangered Leonardo’s masterpiece strongly contributed to the decision to set up the Monuments Men, a group of art critics, museum curators, and archivists, who towards the end of the Second World War, saved thousands of artworks from bombings, pilfering, looting and Nazi barbarity.

    Clooneys Monuments Men to open at Berlin Film Fest

    MUMBAI: George Clooney’s The Monuments Men that is set to release in February next year will make its international debut as part of the 64th Berlin International Film Festival.

     

    The movie stars George Clooney, Cate Blanchett, Matt Damon, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Jean Dujardin, Bob Balaban and Hugh Bonneville.

     

    This is the second film announced by the fest that kicks off on 6 February. Earlier, the organisers had announced the opening film The Grand Budapest Hotel that too is shot in Germany.

     

    The Monuments Men German-American co-production is based on a true story focused on an unlikely World War II platoon, tasked by the Allies with going into Germany behind enemy lines to rescue artistic masterpieces from Nazi thieves and returning them to their rightful owners.

     

    Two-time Oscar winner Clooney has been a frequent guest of the Berlinale as a producer, actor and director. The Monuments Men will be his second directorial appearance in the official program after Confessions of a Dangerous Mind at the Berlinale 2003.

    MUMBAI: George Clooney has reportedly got actor Daniel Craig on board for his film The Monuments Men. Incidentally, Clooney is also the writer for the film.
    The film is based on author Robert M Edsel‘s novel‘The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes‘,‘Nazi Thieves‘and‘The Greatest Treasure Hunt In History‘ and is to be filmed in the backdrop of World War II.
    The film tells the story of a group of art experts chosen by the US government to retrieve works stolen by the Nazis, before Hitler destroys them.
    The rest of the star cast includes John Goodman, Bill Murray, Cate Blanchett and Jean Dujardin and Hugh Bonneville, reports deadline.com.

    MUMBAI: This yuletide season, US broadcaster NBC will air The Year Without a Santa Claus.

    The film which is currently in production is about Santa Claus and a young boy who help each other believe in Christmas again.The film stars John Goodman, Chris Kattan, Ethan Suplee, Eddie Griffin and Carol Kane

    The film is based on the 1974 Rankin-Bass holiday film favourite that featured stop-motion animation. Mrs. Claus is greatly dismayed when Santa (Goodman) convinced that people have forgotten the real meaning of Christmas decides to take a year off and not deliver any gifts.

    She enlists the help of his two closest elves, Jingle (Suplee) and Jangle (Griffin), to help prove there are children who still care about the true spirit of the holiday. But their efforts are complicated by Heatmiser (Elliott) and Snowmiser (McKean), whose help Jingle and Jangle will need to save Christmas before Santa’s devious head elf (Kattan) takes over his job.

    MUMBAI: US internet service provider AOL and Warner have announced that ‘In2TV’ which claims to be the largest offering of television series available online for free, has launched two new channels.

    Gone But Not Forgotten TV showcases shows that have been cancelled. Get Real TV is a reality TV channel offering some of the most sought-after unscripted, relationship and court series in this arena. ‘In2TV’ also adds twelve new series including many episodes that have never aired on television and more than a dozen new video features.

    Gone But Not Forgotten TV has got in its line up recently aired series. These short-lived shows can be seen with never-before-seen episodes, clips, trivia and games. Wanda Sykes stars in Wanda at Large. This is a sitcom about an outspoken comedian-turned-news reporter that aired a couple of years ago.

    Michael Richards, who starred in Seinfeld returned to television with The Michael Richards Show. He played a bumbling detective. The sitcom was Richards’ debut project post Seinfeld and In2TV is premiering the never-broadcast original pilot episode.

    Center of the Universe stars John Goodman as a father raising a family despite his extended brood’s mettlesome antics. Jean Smart, Ed Asner, and Olympia Dukakis also star in this 2005 sitcom.
