MUMBAI: Media conglomerate News Corporation has announced the promotion of Jeremy Philips to executive VP, office of the chairman.
He will also join News Corp’s executive management committee.
Philips will focus on acquisitions and strategy across the company and will oversee Internet investments. He will continue to report to News Corporation’s chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch.

Jeremy Philips appointed News Corp senior VP
MUMBAI: News Corporation has appointed Jeremy Philips to the position of senior vice president of the office of the chairman. He will assist News Corporation chairman and chief executive Rupert Murdoch and deputy chief operating officer Lachlan Murdoch. Philips will be based in New York.
Philips will report to the office of the chairman, which consists of Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch, as well as president and chief operating officer Peter Chernin; chief financial officer David DeVoe; and group general counsel Arthur Siskind. Philips’s appointment is effective 16 August.
Philips, a graduate of the University of New South Wales and Harvard University worked in Citigroup strategic investments director before joining News Corporation.
