    Grasshoppers wins creative mandates for BOP

    MUMBAI: Grasshoppers India has been appointed as the creative partner for real estate consultancy Better Option Propmart Opts.

    An official has confirmed that Grasshoppers have approached the company and presented the idea.

    Grasshoppers will be handling ATL & BTL campaigns including corporate branding for BOP.

    The real estate consultancy has an annual marketing spend that is estimated to be Rs 100 crore with several prestigious projects in the pipeline in partnership with leading realty players including DLF, Jaypee Group, Logix, Hero, Wave Inc and Imperia Structures.

    “The company has started its operations in 2007; today we have more than 50,000 customers and 10 state-of-the-art studios across the country”, said founder & MD Amit Mavi.

    Talking about their tie-up with Grasshoppers, Mavi said, “We want to be known as a company that delivers ‘Better‘. Through our partnership with Grasshoppers, we will be reaching out to our target audience and communicate the core values that drive our organisation and make us different from a loose bunch of property brokers spread in an unorganised manner across the country”.

    “There is a lot of work that needs to be done because it‘s not just BOP but also the associated real estate projects that have to be promoted. So, we will play around with different concepts and messaging depending on the project offerings. It‘s going to be a challenging task but we anticipate a lot of innovative campaigns being churned out over the next few months,” said Grasshoppers India‘s director Arjun Banerjee.

  • Clayground bags creative biz of Apollo Cosmetic Clinics

    MUMBAI: Clayground has won the creative mandate of Apollo Cosmetics Clinics following a multi agency pitch.

    Launched in July, the agency‘s first client was Jaypee Group with which Clayground had signed an exclusivity deal. At present, the agency is also handling the creative duties of Reiz Electrocontrols.

    Clayground founder Vandana Katoch said the agency will launch the first communication campaign for Apollo Cosmetic Clinics in January 2013.

    Owned by Apollo Hospitals group, Apollo Cosmetic Clinics offers comprehensive treatments for a range of cosmetic enhancements.

  • Ashwini Dhingra joins DDB Mudra

    MUMBAI: Ashwini Dhingra has been appointed DDB Mudra Delhi SVP and will report directly to DDB Mudra Group Delhi president Vandana Das. He will be handling some of the agency‘s Delhi-based clients such as Dabur, HBO, Jaypee Group, PepsiCo, Twinings and Wrigley‘s.

    Dhingra‘s previous stint was with JWT Kolkata where he was vice president and director client services. He started his career in 1990 with Specialty Papers and shifted to advertising in 1997 with Euro RSCG where he worked for 14 years before joining JWT in 2011. In his tenure of 15 years, Dhingra has worked with Essar Cellphone, Lacoste, Kohler, Lebon, IMT, Jaypee Group, Zee News, ITC, Mayur Plywood and Tata Steel to name a few.

    DDB Mudra Group CEO and managing director Madhukar Kamath said, “For the DDB Mudra Group, Delhi is the growth market.     MUMBAI: The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) has announced special award winners of the Jaypee Group IIFA Awards 2012.

    The award for outstanding contribution to Indian Cinema will be presented to Ramesh Sippy while Zohra Segal will receive the award for contribution to 100 years of Indian Cinema.

    Ramesh Sippy made his debut in the Indian Films at the tender age of 9 playing Achala Sachdev’s son in Shahenshah. He is best known for directing Sholay and is a highly respected veteran in the Indian film industry today.

    Exclaimed Sippy, “The International Indian Film Academy is a massive pioneering effort to expand the reach of Indian cinema, taking it beyond Indian shores. To be recognized on an international platform is an honour.”

    Actress and centenarian, Zohra Segal is an acclaimed dancer and actress who has been recipient of the Padma Vibhusan. She has seen a prolific career in theatre, film and dance. Sehgal will receive the ‘Contribution to 100 years of Indian Cinema’ award for her large body of work and the impact she has had on the industry in Singapore.

    Said Wizcraft International Entertainment director Sabbas Joseph, “For IIFA, nothing gives us more pleasure than to honour these incredible individuals who have dedicated their life to the progress of Indian cinema and the passion with which they entertain people across the globe.     Jaypee ropes in Mudra Delhi as creative partner

    MUMBAI: Jaypee Group, the infrastructural company, has roped in Mudra India Delhi as its creative agency.

    The agency will handle the creative duties of the real estate group‘s cement business for South India, edible oil, power and Formula One. The consolidated account size is in the region of Rs 400-500 million.
     
    Says Jaypee Group EVP Shiva Dixit, “Since we were entering into South India with our cement business, we were looking to engage a new agency. There was no pitch called for these businesses. Mudra is a great agency and they have a lot of good advertising and creative contribution to their credit. So, we just thought of going along with them.”

    In the next couple of months, the company is also expected to launch a campaign through the outdoor, print, TV advertising for its edible oil division.
     
    Adds Mudra North and East EVP and head Ajay Naqvi, “We are extremely excited with this mandate. We were persistent and I think our passion, thinking and work all got acknowledged and appreciated. We hope to do justice to this responsibility. I must specifically mention Vandana Katoch, Creative Director and Gopal Krishnan, Vice President, who have ably led this business and I am confident will continue to do so.”

    For Formula One racing event in India, Jaypee plans to start promoting close to the event dateline 30 October. The coveted race will be taking place at Jaypee Group Circuit in Greater Noida, about 50 km from New Delhi.
