Catch several new show launches starting September onwards beginning with PITCH, a sports-drama series based on the inspiring journey of a woman trying to create history in a man’s world through Major League Baseball and Son Of Zorn, a live-action animated TV series starring popular Hollywood actor Jason Sudeikis as Zorn.

    Voice cast announced for ‘Angry Birds’ movie

    MUMBAI: Columbia pictures announced the cast for its upcoming animated film adaptation of popular game Angry Birds.

     

    The cast was revealed after fans of the game worked together to sling one billion birds over the past 48 hours.

     

    The film will center on a furious flock of three: Red, Chuck and Bomb.

     

    Horrible Bosses fame actor Jason Sudeikis will lead the cast as Red, a bird with a temper problem, accompanied with Jobs’ Josh Gad as speedy Chuck, and Danny McBride of Eastbound & Down as the volatile Bomb.

     

    Game of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage will bring the character of legendary Mighty Eagle alive on screen while Matilda, the white bird who lays egg bombs, will be voiced by Maya Rudolph of Bridesmaids fame.

     

    The movie will also will feature Bill Hader, Keegan-Michael Key, Kate McKinnon, Tony Hale, Ike Barinholtz and Hannibal Buress.

     

    “I’m extremely proud of this cast. Not only do we have Jason, Josh, Danny, Bill, Maya and Peter bringing these characters to life, but they’re surrounded by an all-star ensemble of emerging comic talent — these are some of the funniest people out there today, and we’re thrilled to have them all on board,” said John Cohen, producer of the film, in a press release.

     

    The film is set for a 1 July 2016 release and will be directed by Fergal Reilly of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and Frozen famed Clay Kaytis while the screenplay will be written by Jon Vitti of The Simpsons. The movie is a partnership between Finnish Angry Birds creator Rovio and Hollywood studio Sony.

     

    The Angry Birds movie will mark game maker Rovio’s first leap into feature films, though they have been producing ‘Angry Birds Toons’ through their Toons TV online channel.

    MUMBAI: Warner Bros. Pictures has finally released the trailer of its forthcoming Hollywood comedy film –Horrible Bosses 2, on YouTube. The film which is directed by Sean Anders after the departure of the first film’s director Seth Gordon due to scheduling issues, features Jennifer Aniston, Jamie Foxx, Chris Pine, Christoph Waltz, Kevin Spacey, Jason Sudeikis, Jason Bateman and Charlie Day.

     

    According to international reports, the first installment of Horrible Bosses received largely positive reviews and made $210 million at the box office.

    MUMBAI: After it came to be known that Colin Farrell would not be starring in the sequel of Horrible Bosses, new bosses were on the lookout by New Line. A father-son duo were being looked at to be even more horrible than Farrell, who did a splendid job in the first movie.

     

    Chris Pine has agreed to be one of the bosses in the movie. Christopher Waltz was also approached for the movie but he has turned down the offer.

     

    Sean Anders and John Morris are directing the movie that will see actors Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis and Jamie Foxx in the sequel as well. More roles are yet to be filled for the movie that will release next year on 26 November.

     

    The first movie turned out to be a box office hit collecting over $200 million worldwide and was directed by Seth Gordon.

    Horrible Bosses 2 sets Thanksgiving release date

    Mumbai: With a recurring cast the New Line movie is slated to release on 26 November 2014. With a new director- Sean Anders – the cast is Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Dey.

     

    It’s produced by Brett Ratner and Jay Stern while John Cheng and John Rickard are exec producers. Only one other movie is releasing on the same day, Fox animated ‘Home’. Another movie releasing near the date is Lionsgate’s ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay’ on 21 November.

     

    A lot is expected from the second installment since the first one got more than $200 million worldwide. It was directed by Seth Gordon. Filming will begin in November this year. John Daley and Jonathan Goldstein will be scripting the sequel as well.

    ‘Horrible Bosses 2’ ropes in ‘We’re the Millers’ writers to direct, produce

    MUMBAI: Sean Anders and John Morris, who penned New Line’s surprise comedy runaway hit We’re the Millers, have been tapped by the company to tackle its comedy Horrible Bosses 2. Anders will helm the project while Morris will join the project as a producer.

    Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day and Jamie Foxx are set to reprise their roles in the workplace comedy.

    John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, who worked on the first movie, penned the original draft for the sequel. Anders and Morris recently did a rewrite.

    Brett Ratner and Jay Stern are producing while John Cheng, John Rickard and Diana Pokorny are executive producing.

    Anders directed Sex Drive and That’s My Boy, the latter starring Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg. The duo is known for their comedy-writing work on She’s Out of My League and Hot Tub Time Machine. They also worked on Dumb and Dumber To, the upcoming sequel to the Jim Carrey/Jeff Daniels classic Dumb and Dumber.

    IM Global to launch Justin Bieber doc Believe from Never Say Never helmer

    MUMBAI: Gearing up for Toronto, IM Global chief Stuart Ford says the company is “engineering its usual full-on assault on the marketplace.” Ford is currently in Venice in support of Ti West’s The Sacrament and Steven Knight’s Tom Hardy-starrer Locke.

     

    Both of those films are part of an abundant Toronto slate that’s spread across the outfit’s different labels. Among the brand new movies on the lineup are Justin Bieber’s Believe, which will screen for select buyers in Toronto. Jon M. Chu, who helmed hit concert film Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never, directed Believe in what was an under the radar operation.

     

    IM Global’s wide release label Opus is handling worldwide sales and Open Road is releasing domestically. The documentary mixes in concert footage to trace Bieber’s path to becoming a worldwide phenomenon.

    Also new is Bachelorette director Leslye Headland’s Sleeping With Other People. Kirsten Dunst, who starred in Bachelorette, will topline the follow-up, joined by Jason Sudeikis. The movie is in pre-production. IM Global genre label Octane is handling.
