    Romedy Now to air How I Met Your Mother next month, launches a new promo

    MUMBAI: Romedy Now is all geared up to launch the widely loved sitcom, How I met Your Mother, on 14 December 2015 at 8:30 pm. The channel has also launched a fresh promo of the TV series by giving it a unique touch as the kids will be seen narrating the story.

     

    In the show, Ted Mosby, in 2030, narrates a story to his teenage children on how he met their mother. The show focuses on Ted’s friendship with Barney, Marshall and Lily, his love for Robin, his journey of finding the girl of his dreams, etc.

     

    “The idea behind using kids in the promo is to make the property more affable and endearing. It also makes for great conversation especially when parents want to share their cute memories and moments with their babies”, asserted a spokesperson.

     

    The show known for its eccentric humour stars Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris and Cristin Milioti.

     

    Commenting on the launch of HIMYM, EEC VP Programming Sonal Khanduj said, “How I Met Your Mother is immensely popular with a great repeat value in India and we are confident that the show will strengthen our viewership further. Romedy Now is promoting the show with an adorable promo to generate buzz around the property.”

    MUMBAI: On 31 March, Sony Pictures released the first trailer of their upcoming film, Sex Tape which revolves around the time when Jay (Segel) and Annie (Diaz) first got together, their romantic connection was intense – but ten years and two kids later, the flame of their love needs a spark.

    To kick things up a notch, they decide – why not? – to make a video of themselves trying out every position in The Joy of Sex in one marathon three-hour session. It seems like a great idea – until they discover that their most private video is no longer private. With their reputations on the line, they know they’re just one click away from being laid bare to the world… but as their race to reclaim their video leads to a night they’ll never forget, they’ll find that their video will expose even more than they bargained for.

    How I Met Your Mother star, Jason Segel stars alongside Golden Globe Award nominee Cameron Diaz (Charlie’s Angels, Bad Teacher) in this romantic comedy from Kate Angelo, the writer and producer of Will & Grace and What About Brian. Also starring is Rob Lowe (The West Wing, Brothers & Sisters) and Golden Globe Award nominee Jack Black (School of Rock, Kung Fu Panda) with EMMY Award winner Rob Corddry (Children’s Hospital) and Ellie Kemper (The Office). The film is directed by Bad Teacher and New Girl helmer, Jake Kasdan.

    Rob Corddry in talks to join Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel in ‘Sex Tape’

    MUMBAI: Rob Corddry is in negotiations to join Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel in Sony’s Sex Tape, which Jake Kasdan is directing.

     

    The story revolves around a husband (Segel) and wife (Diaz) who take a night off from the kids and decide to spice things up by making a sex tape. When they wake up the next morning, the tape is missing, and the search is on.

     

    Corddry will play the couple’s friend who goes along on the adventure. Sex Tape is eyeing a shoot in the fall, with Escape Artists’ Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch producing.

     

    Corddry is in the middle of a busy period. He just wrapped filming Hot Tub Time Machine 2, for which he also helped craft the story, and can be seen on screens in The Way, Way Back. This year he also appeared in Warm Bodies and Pain & Gainand stars with Lake Bell in the indie comedy In a World, which Roadside Attractions opens 9 August.

     

    Childrens Hospital, the Adult Swim comedy he created and stars in, is coming off its second Emmy nomination. (Corddry also created the Adult Swim series Newsreaders, which wrapped its first season.)

     

    The funnyman is repped by WME and Principato-Young Entertainment and Hansen Jacobson.
