    MUMBAI: Looks like Birla Opus is ready to brush away all consumer doubts quite literally. Birla Opus Paints, part of Aditya Birla Group’s Grasim Industries, has unveiled its new ‘Birla Opus Assurance’ campaign, a first-of-its-kind pledge in the Indian paint industry that promises to repaint homes free of charge if customers aren’t satisfied within a year.

    The one-year repainting warranty covers all four seasons, putting walls through the ultimate weather test. This goes above and beyond the standard product warranty, signalling Birla Opus Paints’ confidence in its advanced formulations and service quality.

    Fronting the colourful campaign are brand ambassadors Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, who don quirky avatars across multiple ad films. Adding extra sparkle to the ensemble are Ranveer Shorey, Murali Sharma, Seema Pahwa and Jaaved Jaaferi, each bringing humour and relatability to the brand’s promise. The ads cheekily thank the design and construction community contractors, architects, and dealers whose word-of-mouth recommendations continue to fuel Birla Opus’ growing popularity in the decorative paints market.

    Birla Opus Paints CEO Rakshit Hargave said the campaign reflects the brand’s “deep-rooted belief in the exceptional quality and performance of our products”, while Marketing Head Inderpreet Singh called it “a bold statement of confidence” that balances reassurance with humour.

    On the creative front, Leo Burnett South Asia’s CCO Sachin Kamble revealed that the films tap into the Indian psyche of “value, trust, and quality service”, with humour used to tackle everyday consumer concerns about durability and finish.

    The ‘Birla Opus Assurance’ campaign will run across Hindi and regional languages, backed by a 360° push spanning TV, digital, and print. With India’s decorative paint sector seeing fierce competition, Birla Opus has taken a bold stroke, one that promises to keep consumers covered, rain or shine.

    Mumbai: Adani Wilmar Ltd, one of the largest food and FMCG companies in India, has rolled out its new ‘Banao Kuchh Hatke’ campaign for its rich in protein brand Fortune Soya Chunks. The 360-degree campaign showcases the versatility of soya chunks as an ingredient, encouraging consumers to explore innovative and diverse culinary options. Conceptualised by DDB Mudra, the campaign – ‘Banao Kuchh Hatke’ – features ad films, narrated by the renowned multifaceted Indian actor and dancer, Jaaved Jaaferi in Hindi and popular former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly in Bengali. The film is being distributed across various media platforms, including TV and digital channels such as YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.

    The campaign films feature ‘hatke’ recipes made with Fortune Soya Chunks, with Jaaved Jaaferi and Sourav Ganguly humorously guessing the dish being prepared. While he may get his guesses wrong, the audience is left with one certainty: Fortune Soya Chunks promises delightful surprises. The brand has collaborated with esteemed and influential chefs to enhance the digital presence of this campaign. These chefs will share their unique recipes using Fortune Soya Chunks, engaging the audience in an exciting way.

    The brand has also planned to extend the communication through their product packaging, where they will showcase ‘Hatke’ dishes which can be prepared using soya chunks. A QR code will be used in packaging to redirect consumers to explore more such recipes on microsite.

    DDB Mudra CCO Rahul Mathew said, “The biggest challenge was to maintain the entertainment value in the film while showcasing the variety of dishes possible with Fortune Soya Chunks. Jaaved Jaaferi and Sourav Ganguly’s iconic voice added a unique touch, making this campaign truly ‘hatke’. We are hopeful that the messaging will resonate with the consumers.”

    Mumbai: Kids’ channel Sony YAY! has launched a new show ‘Ding Dong Bell, Masti Ka Khel’ starting 16 August. The animated series is a chase comedy with a voice-over by Jaaved Jaaferi and Mubeen Saudagar.

    In every episode, the Kukkads – Ding, Dong, and Bell are chased by a hungry fox, named Bhukkad. The perennially hungry fox is forever on the prowl for these chicks who are always at the ready to foil his plan. Each chick equipped with a special talent of ‘brains’, ‘brawn’ and ‘beauty’ is in the race to outsmart the fox and hence creating a laughter riot for kids. Every failure angers the determined fox to devise even more elaborate plans to outwit them in each passing episode, which usually ends up being a wild chick chase.

    “‘Ding Dong Bell, Masti Ka Khel’ is our pre-festive treat to kids which is packed with a hilarious ride doubled with funny commentaries by the best artists of the industry. With a whole new approach to its authentic style of storytelling, the network is bringing Animals Gone Wild with the inimitable Jaaved Jaaferi, who will take the viewers into the unexplained and unexpected world of the animal kingdom.

    Premiering on 22 March at 8pm on National Geographic Channel in India, the show will have Jaaferi weave in his signature style of humour, wit and comedy while showcasing the most jaw-dropping and thrilling content captured of the wild animals.     MUMBAI: Star Sports has roped in the Bollywood actors Anil Kapoor and Jaaved Jaaferi for the upcoming Paytm India Vs Australia ODI Series campaign that begins on 14 January 2020.

    According to a press statement, the campaign has been conceptualised by the in-house creative team at Star Sports, depicts the two actors as friends, who live in India and Australia respectively.

    The actors would be seen taking a dig at each other for the upcoming clash between the two cricketing rivals and supporters of opposing teams, the release said.

    Ahead of the campaign to go on air, Jaaved Jaaferi nudged Anil Kapoor with a nostalgic Tweet that read “Pehle humne jung ki, phir total dhamaal – ab aa rahe hain phirse dikhaane apna kamaal! Anil Kapoor bhai, bach ke rehna, it’s going to be the #BattleofEquals this time.”

    Anil Kapoor was quick to respond with a comeback that read, “#BattleofEquals toh hoga Javed Jaaferi, par film mein ‘Hero’ ek hi hota hai, aur jeet ussi ki hoti hai! So watch out”

    The Paytm India vs Australia ODI series will consist of three ODI’s starting 14 January 2020 and will be broadcast exclusively on the Star Sports Network and Hotstar. The two rivals are keen on starting the new decade of their rivalry with another eventful series.

    The series will also see the clash of two in-form bowlers in Jasprit Bumrah and Pat Cummins as the world’s two best bowlers jostle for supremacy in what seems like #BattleOfEquals.

    Pro Kabaddi League season 2 garners 45% growth in viewership

    MUMBAI: Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League season 2 witnessed a stunning opening with a 45 per cent viewership increase as compared to its inaugural season last year.

     

    The opening game on 18 July between defending champions Jaipur Pink Panthers and last year’s finalists U Mumba, rated 7.2 TVM (BARC panel CS4+), which is 45 per cent higher than the opening game of last season (TAM Panel CS4+).

     

    This kick-start to the second season validates that viewers have moved beyond the initial curiosity of season one to a deeper level of affinity and engagement with this aspirational Indian sport.

     

    The appeal of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League has cut across demographics with the core, urban, youth audiences passionately following the game while women and children continued to contribute about 50 per cent of viewership showing the universal appeal of the sport. The metro contribution was 64 per cent to overall television viewership demonstrating that the urban, millennialist audiences have a strong affinity for the sport. The League scored big on the digital front too. Hotstar, the online broadcaster of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League, witnessed a massive interest from metros and large cities.

The opening day of the tournament saw #ProKabaddi trending across India, as fans from Jaipur and Mumbai resumed their rivalry in a replay of last year’s final. To date, the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League season 2 has seen over 230,000 conversations on social platforms driving five billion potential impressions. This is approximately three times greater than last year.

     

    Additionally, Hotstar launched a series of unique content with shows like Jabaddi where Bollywood veteran Jaaved Jaaferi narrates and reacts to the most entertaining moments of the game on a weekly basis and Ultimate Panga hosted by Rannvijay Singha, who puts Kabaddi’s superheroes through a series of tasks to test their skill and strength.

     

    Hotstar also associated with VJ Jose to create Tickle Bomb, which are short and funny clips that builds the ‘Kabaddi is fun’ quotient.
