    Gujarat Titans signs 15 sponsors ahead of debut IPL season

    Mumbai: Gujarat Titans, the Ahmedabad franchisee of the Indian Premier League (IPL), has signed 15 partners ahead of its debut in Tata IPL 2022.

    Ather Energy has signed up as the principal partner of the Gujarat Titans in a multi-year deal. The team has also signed nine associate partners. Capri Global and BKT Tires, have joined hands with the Gujarat Titans. Their logos will feature on the jersey of the Gujarat Titans. Telco Jio and pipe-manufacturer Astral, have joined the bandwagon along with Simpolo Ceramics. The headgear will sport logos of two associate partners – Acko and toothsi. Meesho has signed on to feature on the trousers of the Gujarat Titans team kit alongside FanCode.

    In addition, the Gujarat Titans have also signed four official partners. Dream11, audio wearable manufacturer boAt and Kotak Cards have come on board. Amul is the official beverage partner. Radio Mirchi is Gujarat Titans’ official radio partner.

    Mumbai: Capri Global has signed a multi-year partnership with the Gujarat Titans, the newly formed Ahmedabad-based franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

    The Gujarat Titans will debut in the 15th season of the IPL. The partnership will see the Capri logo on the right chest of the Gujarat Titans’ official team jerseys.

    “As the latest entrant into the IPL, the zeal to make a difference in a highly competitive cricket environment provides a unique opportunity for Gujarat Titans,” said Gujarat Titans chief operating officer Arvinder Singh. “We are happy to associate with Capri Global, a company that has been working successfully in India’s financial sector over the years. This strategic tie-up builds on the ethos of both brands, as both are poised for growth in their respective fields. Our joint debut in the IPL aims to pay tribute to the state’s rich cricketing legacy.”

    Promoted by first-generation entrepreneur Rajesh Sharma, Capri Global has varied interests across sectors including key ventures such as a non-banking financial company, stressed assets fund and sports venture. Its subsidiary Capri Global Capital is a non-deposit-taking systemically important non-banking financial company with a $ one billion+ market cap, said the statement.

    IPL 2022: Acko pacts with KKR, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Supergiants

    Mumbai: Expanding its roster of IPL team sponsorships, digital-native insurers Acko Insurance has signed on as an associate sponsor for three teams – Kolkata Knight Riders, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Supergiants. 

    “With this, the upcoming season will see Acko join forces with a total of six teams as their insurance partner, making it one of the key brands to be associated with the marquee event,” said the statement. The brand’s league sponsorship journey began with a partnership with Delhi Capitals in 2020, before expanding to include Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

    As a part of the partnership, the players of Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans will sport the Acko logo on their headgear (helmets/caps), while the players of the other three teams will have the logo on their trousers. The logo will also be prominently visible in the stadium where the teams are playing, according to the brand.

    “This cricketing league is a great sporting property and to be able to associate our brand with six of the teams gives us tremendous brand visibility,” said Acko executive VP – marketing Ashish Mishra, commenting on the partnerships. “These six cities are also core markets for us. With our on-ground activations, our aim is to bring the fans closer to the teams that they have loved over the years with interactive, community-driven activities. We hope to positively impact the fans’ lives, and in doing so, not just secure brand awareness, but build lasting brand love and loyalty.”

    The association with the teams will be amplified with a 360-degree campaign across television, digital and social media platforms, which will run throughout the course of the tournament. Acko has also planned a series of activations across platforms for engaging with fans and driving brand recall.

    Moreover, Acko will create localised experiences in the six cities for bringing fans closer to the teams they love. As an associate sponsor, the insurer will give away signed merchandise of the teams through contests and events that the brand plans on organising.

    Commenting on the association, Kolkata Knight Riders CMO Binda Dey said, “The partnership with Acko is yet another step towards KKR’s commitment to bring the fans closer to the team. We look forward to engaging with our fans especially in Kolkata and other cities through various initiatives planned across this season.”

    Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Supergiants are two new franchises, making their debut in the fifteenth edition of the tournament.

    Lucknow Super Giants CEO Raghu Iyer said, “ We are delighted to partner with Acko for the upcoming season. We are grateful for their confidence in our new franchise and are optimistic that this will be a mutually beneficial association for both brands.”

    Mumbai: Joy Personal Care, a homegrown skincare brand from the aegis of RSH Global has announced its partnership with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as associate sponsors for the upcoming T20 cricket series. As a part of this association, the brand’s logo will feature on the team’s official jersey.

    Joy Personal Care and KKR will also work together to create a unique TVC and digital content across social media platforms which will convey the brand’s messaging. Additionally, the brand will enjoy significant on-ground visibility for all games played at home ground, said the company in a statement. “The team will endorse the brand and will be involved in a series of initiatives to engage with the large fan base of KKR,” it added.

    Mumbai: With only weeks to go for the first match of the IPL 2022 season, insurance firm Acko Insurance has inked sponsorship deals with two more IPL franchisees – Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Titans, to take on the role of their official insurance partner. This latest association comes on the back of the brand signing on as insurance partner for the Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, and Sunrisers Hyderabad in a multi-team sponsorship model.

    As the country gears up for the widely anticipated fifteenth edition of the cricket tournament, the insurance brand has further expanded its partnership portfolio by adding to its existing team collaborations, bringing its tally of IPL team associations to five.

    The recent years have seen an increase in the number of brands opting for multi-team brand sponsoring partnerships. The IPL 2020-21 season saw Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals, and Royal Challengers Bangalore- all having boAt as their audio partners, while Colgate was the Smile partner of six IPL teams during IPL 2021.

    The first match of the IPL 2022 season is set to be played on 26 March between defending champions Chennai Super Kings and last year’s finalists, Kolkata Knight Riders at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. The final will take place on 29 May. The Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune will host the last 15 matches.

    Mumbai: Ahead of IPL 2022, Octa – a global brand of people-oriented investment services has announced its association with Delhi Capitals as principal sponsor. Octa will also support the entire league, alongside Tata Group, Cred, Upstox Paytm, and others.

    DC (formerly Delhi Daredevils) historically appeared in 2008 with the first IPL. After renaming to Delhi Capitals in 2018, the new management directed the team to strengthen its presence. Through determination and motivated action, the players gradually improved their performance, which allowed them to make it to the finals in 2020 and become third in 2021 in UAE.

    IPL 2022: Ather Energy partners with Gujarat Titans

    Mumbai:  Ahead of the 15th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), homegrown electric scooter manufacturer Ather Energy has announced a multi-year partnership with the newly formed IPL Ahmedabad franchise- Gujarat Titans, as the principal partner. The strategic partnership starting from this season will see the Ather Energy brand on the front of the Gujarat Titans’ official team jerseys.  

    This partnership with IPL’s Gujarat franchise will help the brand enhance its awareness, build credibility, and trust, it said in a statement.

    As one of the two newest teams to join the league, Gujarat Titans has been actively building the squad, coaching and managing the team. Hardik Pandya has been appointed as the team’s captain, with spin wizard Rashid Khan and young batting talent Shubman Gill also selected as squad members.

    “Being relative newcomers in our respective fields, what binds us are shared values of fearlessness and positivity, and a hunger to make a difference in our highly competitive environments,” said Ather Energy chief business officer Ravneet Singh Phokela. “The scale and reach of IPL provide a great platform for us to rapidly drive awareness and familiarity for the brand across the country, as we expand our geographic footprint. But beyond just reach numbers, the IPL has the unique advantage of being a sporting event whose appeal cuts across age and gender boundaries, engaging the entire household.     In the recently concluded IPL auction, the Gujarat Titans team have roped in leading cricketers such as Mohammed Shami, Jason Roy, Lockie Ferguson, David Miller and Vijay Shankar. The cricket team management will be led by Vikram Solanki, who will hold the position of director of cricket, with Ashish Nehra as the head coach. Gary Kirsten will act as the Titans’ mentor and batting coach.

    “The blend of youthfulness and strategic thinking that Ather Energy projects resonates with us as a team as we embark on a journey with youthful spirit and determination in mind to make our mark in the league. We hope to work together with great synergy to achieve our goals,” said Gujarat Titans chief operating officer Colonel Arvinder Singh.

    Ather Energy has registered a 20 per cent month-on-month sales growth over the past year, according to the company. To cater to the growing demand, the brand is expanding its retail presence across the country. Currently, the company has 30 experience centres (retail outlets) across India, and by March 2023, it plans to open 150 experience centres in 100 cities, it stated.

    Mumbai: E-commerce platform for pre-owned vehicles Cars24 has partnered with Sunrisers Hyderabad to become the franchise’s new principal sponsor for IPL 2022. With this association, Cars24 also becomes the first pre-owned car player to enter into partnership with IPL.

    Under the newly-inked strategic partnership, the Sunrisers Hyderabad team jersey will sport the blue and orange Cars24 logo on the front, with the aim to cement the brand’s space in the minds of fans this season of the IPL.

    “As a brand that shares its love for cricket like the rest of the nation, we are immensely excited about this partnership,” said Cars24 chief marketing officer (India) Sudhir Shukla. “Cars24 and Sunrisers Hyderabad have a lot of similarities – for starters, we are both orange army signifying our determination to be the best and the joy we bring to our viewers and customers alike.     The Sun Group-owned franchise debuted in 2013 and made its mark as the 2016 IPL Champions. Captained by New Zealand national team captain Kane Williamson, the team also has young stars like Umran Malik and Abdul Samad who are also the retained risers. Bringing their wealth of cricket knowledge to the team are coaches Brian Lara, Muttiah Muralitharan, Dale Steyn, Simon Katich, Hemang Badani and Tom Moody as the head coach.
