    The Delhi Advertising Club Annual Awards – Lots of Gold & Silver

    New Delhi: The DAC awards 2016 titled as the ICE Awards (Indian Creative Excellence), was held recently at The Ashok Hotel New Delhi with much fan fare and excitement befitting a grand award ceremony.

    The award is instituted to acknowledge and reward creative excellence in advertising in all forms of communication.

    Started 40 years back with a modest number of 25 people as founders and under the able leadership of Mr. V. K. Chopra the chief patron, DAC has come a fairly long way and has grown leaps and bounds. For the first time in the history of DAC Awards, a special section was created for Made in India agencies along with multi-national agencies. Mr. V. K. Chopra announced that this year saw a record number of entries which was very encouraging, and at the same breath he also announced that DAC wishes to take this award to SAARC countries as well.

    The advertising agencies were vying for awards in 48 different categories in Print, Electronic and Social/Digital Media. The evening turned out to be a fantastic event unlike others as the entire work of all the agencies were showcased in the do. It was a buzzing evening with the breeze of healthy competition in the air. The agencies came out in great number to support and cheer their entries. The excitement took over and it and it was shouts and howls all over. They all were cheering for each other. The event witnessed Vermillion Communications walking away with maximum number of awards. Close on their heels was Span communication. Agencies like HS AD, Omni Media, Herald, Crayons, Innocean Worldwide, Span, I Broad 7, Reprise, Interactive, Magnon Eg+ and more witnessed the grand award ceremony at The Ashok Hotel. The happy and proud CEO and MD of Vermillion Communications Mr. Deepak Hiremath gave the credit of the spectacular win to his entire creative team. The agency won a whooping 22 awards in different categories.

    Not only did Vermillion communications win the maximum number of trophies, they also bagged the most coveted award of “The Agency of the Year”.

    The happy and proud CEO and MD of Vermillion Communications Mr. Deepak Hiremath gave the credit of the win to his entire creative team. The agency won a whooping 22 awards in different categories.

    Delhi Advertising Club announces Excellence in Advertising Awards 2014

    MUMBAI: In the recent past, many have acknowledged the fact that Delhi has established itself as a major advertising hub.

     

    And to celebrate the most outstanding media initiatives of the year gone by were recognised and awarded at the Delhi Advertising Club – Excellence in Advertising Awards 2014.

     

    17 agencies received 40 DAC Excellence in Advertising Awards. The Agency of the Year Award was bagged by Innocean Worldwide India, whereas Campaign of the Year Award went to McCann, New Delhi.

     

    Delhi Advertising Club president HS Paul said, “Delhi is gradually emerging as the Advertising Capital of India with major companies being headquartered in Delhi & NCR besides the government advertising body like DAVP. According to industry estimates, if advertisers spend around Rs 30,000 crore in India, alone Delhi/NCR contributes to roughly 40 per cent, with release orders to the tune of around Rs 12,000 crore being signed out of Delhi.”

     

    He further added that, “Delhi Advertising Club’s Excellence in Advertising Awards” since its inception in 1991 is an endeavor to recognise the efforts and accomplishments of teams and individuals from the advertising  fraternity here. These awards are not only a matter of honour for creative excellence, but have received tremendous support from media marketers and advertisers as well. I am very much pleased with the support received from the industry and would like to thank all partners, sponsors of trophies, Jury members, board members and ordinary members of Delhi Advertising Club for making the DAC Awards a great success.”

     

    More than 500 executives from advertising world attended the ceremony and awards for 20 categories were presented to the winners selected by the jury out of 228 entries received from various advertising agencies of Delhi and NCR. Award winning Ad-Agencies are: Airads, Adsyndicate, Adman, Bubna, Crayons, Catalyst, Cytomed (Alkem), Graphisads, Havas, Interads, Infinity, Innocean, Linen (Lintas), McCann, Mode, Niyati & Span.

     

    At the ceremony , Delhi Advertising Club founder and past president  Late Dr.Vishwanath was given Lifetime Achievement award which was collected by his son Interads Advertising  MD Anil Sharma from DAC chief Patron VK Chopra.

    Hyndai i20 ‘casts a spell’ with its new TVC

    MUMBAI: Hyundai i20 is going all out with an array of new TVCs across the World Wide Web and television sets. The TVCs in question here is conceptualised by Innocean Worldwide.

    The two commercials for Hyundai i20 ‘The Hyundai i20 casts a spell‘ and ‘A Spy and his ‘Uber Cool‘ drive‘ is completely focused on the car‘s features for the target group in the segment.

    The objective behind the campaign was to drive viewers towards the brand‘s dominance across media and digital platforms simultaneously.

    The ‘Cast a Spell‘ has gone viral and garnered more than seven lakh views on YouTube within a short span of 10 days. The ad film is conceptualised by the creative trio of Saurabh Dasgupta, Allen Charles and George Koshy. The ad film has been aired on TV and digital platforms like YouTube and other social media.

    Speaking about the campaign, Innocean Worldwide executive creative director Saurabh Dasgupta said, “The objective was to give an uber twist to a story of a ghost and an i20 driver, by way of the ghost getting spooked by the cars features that were intuitive and seemingly supernatural.”

    The TVC shows a young executive returning from a hard day‘s work when he unassumingly comes across a stunning lady dressed in black standing all alone. By the time he realises that he is next to a cemetery, the lady is shown seated next to him magically and orders him to drive. But at the end of the TV commercial ghost decides to vanish as she came across the car‘s features which offers package of auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers, daytime running lamps and rear parking camera.

    The other ad film ‘A spy and his ‘Uber Cool‘ car‘ film meant for usage on the television medium. It has been premiered on the ongoing telecast of Champions Trophy on ESPN wherein Hyundai is there as a sponsor in its capacity as official partner of ICC. The film has been written by Koustuv Chaterjee ECD at Innocean. Herein the intent is to epitomise the unusual traits of the Uber Cool i20 user.

    According to Chaterjee, “This story is one that thrills you. Its pushes the boundaries of uber cool portrayals done so far. The protagonist is a spy who gets the better of his opponents only to find himself racing against odds to keep his appointment with his girl-friend. Tied-up he still manages a getaway in an exciting fashion aided by the superlative innovations in the feature list of the car.”
