    MUMBAI: With Comedy Central dominating the English Entertainment genre, other players witness mixed ratings. According to week 30 of BARC India rating, 6 Mega Cities : NCCS AB : 4+ Individuals, the English movies space observed increase in ratings dominated by Movies Now. Discovery and Living Foodz continues to top respective spaces. 

    English Entertainment

    Comedy Central climbed up the list dominating the genre with 223 Impressions (000s) followed by AXN at second berth with 160 Impressions (000s). Zee Café took the third spot with 153 Impressions (000s). 

    Star World stood at the fourth position with 132 Impressions (000s).  Colors Infinity SD with 73 Impressions (000s) grabbed the fifth position.

    English Movies

    Movies Now with an increase in ratings sustained the number one position with 3303 Impressions (000s) as compared to 3159 Impressions (000s) in week 29 followed by Star Movies with an increase in the ratings bagging the second position with 3159 Impressions (000s). Sony Pix secured its third place with 2563 Impressions (000s) followed by Zee Studio which grabbed the fourth place with 1628 Impressions (000s). HBO bagged the fifth position with 1484 Impressions (000s).

    Infotainment

    Discovery continues its leadership in the space with 5171 Impressions (000s), followed by National Geographic Channel with 3671 Impressions (000s) on second position.  History TV 18 grabbed third place with 3112 Impressions (000s).

    Animal Planet with 2785 Impressions (000s) and Nat Geo Wild secured fourth and fifth place respectively.

    Lifestyle

     Living Foodz stood on top position with 1915 Impressions (000s. Fix Life secured second spot with 712 Impressions (000s), followed by TLC on third place with 689 Impressions (000s). Food Food is on fourth position with 558 Impressions (000s), followed by Travel XP HD with 298 Impressions (000s) on last spot.

Movies Now dominated the English movies space according to Broadcast Audience Research Data (BARC) India in week 28 of 2016.

    Leaders in the infotainment space continue at the same position. The lifestyle genre saw a decline in ratings with NDTV Good Times entering the list.

    Zee Cafe stands at the number one position with 214 (‘000s) followed by Star World with 141 (‘000s) in the second place. The third position is secured by AXN HD with 112 (‘000s) while Comedy Central holds the fourth position with 109 (‘000s). AXN takes the fifth spot with 102 (‘000s).

    Movies Now continues to stay in the first place with 3444 (‘000s). Star Movies with 2602 (‘000s) and Sony Pix with 1907 (‘000s) grabbed the second and the third positions respectively. HBO secured the fourth position with 1291 (‘000s) followed be Zee Studio with 1154 (‘000s) in the fifth place.

    MUMBAI: According to week 27 of BARC India, six Mega Cities: NCCS AB : 4+ Individuals rating, Star World replaced Zee Café on top spot in English Entertainment and Movies Now regained its top spot from Star Movies in the respective spaces.

    Infotainment and Lifestyles genres did not see much change with Discovery and Living Foodz leading the spaces.

    English Entertainment genre witnessed a mixed bag of ratings in this week while English movies space saw an increase in the viewership.

    The infotainment space was yet again topped by Discovery Channel.

    AXN stood at the number one position with an increase in its rating from 221 Impressions (000s) to 260 Impressions (000s) this week. Zee Cafe climbed up the ladder and grabbed the second berth with 221 Impressions (000s) followed by Comedy Central with 172 Impressions (000s) taking the third position.  

    Colors Infinity SD witnessed a decline in the ratings with 95 Impressions (000s) this week compared to 121 Impressions (000s) in week 18 taking the fourth position.  Star World with 78 Impressions (000s) took the fifth position.

    Movies Now sustained the number one position with 3160 Impressions (000s) followed by Star Movies with an increase in the ratings bagging the second position with 2870 compared to 2915 Impressions (000s) in week 18. Sony Pix with 1989Impressions (000s) took the third berth followed by HBO which grabbed the fourth place with 1671 Impressions (000s). Zee Studio bagged the fifth position with 1284 Impressions (000s).

    Chrome Week 19: English News channels genre emerge as top gainer

    MUMBAI: English News channels genre appeared on top in Chrome’s opportunity to see (OTS) analysis for the eight metros. This space marked an increase of 1.8 per cent and saw Lok Sabha TV as the leader with 93.7 per cent OTS in week 19.

     The former was followed by Infotainment with 1.3 per cent gain across all India. History TV 18 topped with 84.6 per cent OTS. Hindi Movies in Hindi Speaking Market (HSM) took the third spot in the list of top gainers with 0.7 per cent increase in OTS. Max led the tally with 91.9 per cent OTS.

    Music genre in HSM also noted a growth of 0.6 per cent. 9X M emerged as the chart topper with 89.1 per cent OTS.

     English Entertainment witnessed a drop of 2.2 per cent in the eight metros; it topped the loser category with Zee Café scoring 47.7 per cent OTS. With a drop of 1.8 per cent, Business News channels genre in six metros booked the second spot. CNBC Awaz emerged as the most affected channel with 80.4 per cent OTS.

    The English Movies category in six metros also observed a decline of 1.7 per cent. Movies Now topped the list with 53.0 per cent OTS. The last spot was taken by the Youth genre with a drop of 1.1 percent in Hindi Speaking Market. Channel V grabbed the top position with 88.2 per cent OTS.

    MUMBAI: English News channels genre appeared on top in Chrome’s opportunity to see (OTS) analysis for the eight metros. This space marked an increase of 1.8 per cent and saw Lok Sabha TV as the leader with 93.7 per cent OTS in week 19.

     The former was followed by Infotainment with 1.3 per cent gain across all India. History TV 18 topped with 84.6 per cent OTS. Hindi Movies in Hindi Speaking Market (HSM) took the third spot in the list of top gainers with 0.7 per cent increase in OTS. Max led the tally with 91.9 per cent OTS.

    MUMBAI: According to Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) ratings across 6 Mega Cities: NCCS AB: 4+ individuals , AXN climbed up from second rank of week 14 to first position in week 15. Star World faced a major drop from last week, scored last position. While, Movies Now continued to top English movies. Discovery dominated infotainment space.

    English entertainment

    AXN hopped to first position with 248 Impressions  (000s), followed by Comedy Central with 180 Impressions (000s). Colors Infinity SD scored third position with 140 Impressions (000s). Zee Café with 101 Impressions  (000s) and star world with 77 Impressions  (000s) grabbed fourth and fifth position respectively.

    English movies

    Movies Now dominated with 2374 Impressions (000s). Star Movies held second position with 2374 Impressions  (000s). Sony Pix with 1930 Impressions  (000s) was third in the list. HBO with 1807 Impressions  (000s) grabbed fourth position, followed by Zee Studio at fifth with 1379 Impressions  (000s).

    The infotainment genre was once again topped by Discovery Channel with 4536 Impressions  (000s). History TV 18 maintained its second position from week 14, with 3804 Impressions (000s), followed by National Geographic with 3500 Impressions (000s). Animal Planet with 2840 Impressions (000s) and Nat Geo Wild with 1986 Impressions (000s) got fourth and fifth position respectively.
