    History TV18 to telecast a special anthology titled ‘India@75’ on 1 August

    Mumbai: History TV18 has announced a special anthology titled India@75 starting 1 August every night at 7:05 p.m in commemoration of India’s 75 year of independence.  

    The month-long programming will highlight stories from travel, culture, history, military prowess and stories of inventiveness and possibility. The programming will feature shows such as travel series Journeys in India hosted by Emmy-winning writer Bill Ball, Flavours of Punjab, Rajasthan and Southern India, India 75 Wonders, Special Operations India: Surgical Strikes, Kargil, Firepower: Defending India, Indian Army: 24 Hours, and India: Marvels & Mysteries.

    A+E Networks managing director and TV18 CEO – broadcast Avinash Kaul said, “At History TV18, we are proud to commemorate this landmark anniversary of Indian Independence with India@75.     Mumbai: Epic channel, the flagship channel from the house of IN10 Media Network, has partnered with streaming television platform DistroTV to increase its global presence. DistroTV is a division of California-based media technology company DistroScale.

    As per the partnership, the channel will be available to international audiences of the UK and Europe. Audiences in these countries will access titles like “Regiment Diaries,” “Ekaant,” “Umeed India,” “Tyohaar Ki Thaali,” and many others.

    “Epic’s commitment towards providing diverse and premium content to its viewers continues to grow,” said IN10 Media Network senior AVP – acquisition and distribution Adita Jain. “Today’s audiences want content at the ease of a click and by partnering with DistroTV, we will be able to distribute our massive content library to different geographies. We are glad to have DistroTV as our partner in our growth journey.”

    Epic TV launches IN10 Media to house multimedia ventures

    MUMBAI: Epic TV, the infotainment channel, has divulged strategic expansion plans through diversification across various media verticals. The company has revealed a vision of organising and building itself as a media network, with new ventures across every touch-point of the content life-cycle that would consolidate under the banner of IN10 Media.

    As part of its expansion plans, the company also announced the launch of two new television channels to go on air later this year – EPIC Plus, an HD offering, and ShowBox, a free-to-air channel.

    Epic TV MD Aditya Pittie would be spearheading the expansion as managing director of IN10 Media. Speaking on his plans, he said, “We are very confident that the media space and the business opportunities in it are set to explode in the near future, and our vision is to bite into a significant portion of that pie. Content, we believe, will play a pivotal role within the media universe and our mission is to create a content hub that identifies, seeds, nurtures, and delivers quality content to viewers.”

    Epic Plus would be a separate feed and the content offering would strengthen Epic’s positioning and further its brand promise of showcasing high quality, premium, India-centric content. 

    ShowBox is slated to be a regional youth and music channel, high on appeal and energy that will push the boundaries of quality entertainment in the regional space. IN10 will also house LatestLY which is a digital news portal. The company also operates an OTT platform – EPIC On – a freemium app available across all devices and several platforms including Amazon Fire TV, Android & Apple TV. It provides both catch-up opportunity, and selectively curated acquired content that has high affinity to its loyal audience base. EPIC On too would be under the IN10 umbrella.

    While the EPIC brand aligns under the headline of ‘India’s Storytellers’, IN10 Media also disclosed the upcoming release of a worldwide OTT offering in the niche of global documentaries. Named ‘DocuBay’ the premium SVOD service is scheduled for an exclusive first look of its beta release for the documentary community at Cannes, France, later this month. The company hinted at announcements of other upcoming verticals in the near future, including its ambitions of being a platform-agnostic content creator, for which it intends to set up a production house catering to the ever-rising demand for content, especially in the booming digital market, while also servicing other broadcasters.

    Epic TV appoints Rajiee Shinde as president

    MUMBAI: Infotainment channel EPIC TV has announced the appointment of Rajiee M Shinde as president. In her new role at EPIC, she has been entrusted with the responsibility of expanding the business and building the EPIC network.

    Prior to joining EPIC, Shinde has served as CEO and director at PTC Network and was instrumental in establishing the network while spearheading the launch of multiple channels. She has also served as the business head of ETC Punjabi of the Zee Group and was responsible for the launch of the Punjabi music channel.

    EPIC Television Network MD Aditya Pittie said, “I am delighted to welcome Rajiee to the EPIC family. She brings with her immense experience of establishing and building new businesses and is the perfect resource to have on board to drive outgrowth plans.”

    With a career spanning over 2 decades, Shinde has held various leadership positions both internationally and with leading media houses in India. A recipient of numerous awards and accolades for her contribution to the media and entertainment ecosystem, her notable awards include – FICCI women entrepreneur 2018, women of the decade in media and social change by women economic forum 2017 (WEF), Punjabi Icon award 2017 by Punjabi cultural heritage board, Mumbai, Excellence in Media in the BIMSTEC – SAARC women empowerment forum 2017 organized by ASSOCHAM under MEA. She has also been conferred with Punjab State Brand Leadership Award 2017 and among many others.

    Shinde said, “I am happy to be a part of the EPIC group and my primary role would be to expand the EPIC brand into a network and a cluster of new channels. This role also presents me with a wider canvas to promote new and fresh talent on a national level.
