    Emami Agrotech onboards Debabrata Mukherjee as chief marketing & strategy officer

    Mumbai: Emami Agrotech has announced the appointment of Debabrata Mukherjee as its chief marketing and strategy officer. The new appointment is seen as a part of the company’s growth strategy.

    Mukharjee is an industry veteran with over 28 years of experience in general management, marketing & sales operations, business strategy, & innovation.

    In his new role, he will be heading the company’s marketing operations across verticals, i.e., edible oil, spices, soya chunks, and bakery fat. He will also head the innovation strategy for Emami Agrotech’s future roadmap as one of the leading branded food manufacturers in India.

    Prior to this, he was serving as the chief marketing officer at the UB Group and was responsible for managing a diverse set of local and global brands like Kingfisher, Ultra, Heineken, and Amstel.

    After starting his career with Unilever in Kolkata, Debabrata joined Coca-Cola in 1998 as its franchise manager in Mumbai, with increasing responsibilities over the years in the operations of the company in India, Korea, and South-West Asia. Following a brief stint with the Hindustan Times Group, Debabrata joined United Breweries, where he was in charge of developing a broad-based, winning portfolio and fostering strong consumer centricity.

    EAL has recently forayed into the spice and soy nugget markets and sees immense potential for expansion in both the edible oil and food sectors with the right products.

    Keerthi will continue to report to FoxyMoron national head of client partnerships Prachi Bali.

    American Express Bank appoints Sanjay Khanna as India’s chief executive officer

    New Delhi: American Express Banking Corp. (AEBC) has appointed Sanjay Khanna as the chief executive officer & country manager of India.

    In his new role, Khanna will be responsible to head the country’s executive team and for driving growth across the organisation’s consumer and commercial businesses.

    He will also spearhead several strategic and business development initiatives for the company while steering smooth collaboration across its diverse businesses in India. His position will be key to advancing and strengthening the company’s strategic focus in India.

    Prior to this, Vivek Makker was the National head for NDTV India. Vivek is a well-known media professional with over two decades of experience and a unique relationship-driven personal approach with Clients, Advertising agencies and his Teams. He has also worked with HT media, Star TV, and Times OOH.

    Vineet Nair rejoins Amazon India as head of media

    Mumbai: Amazon on Monday announced the appointment of Vineet Nair as head of media. Prior to this, he was associated with The Purple Family at Mindshare GroupM for nearly two years. He brings with him an experience of 15 years in handling traditional and digital media, brand development, media planning, buying, and strategy.

    This is Nair’s second stint at Amazon. He was a senior media manager at Amazon India for nearly two years before joining Mindshare.

    Nair shared this latest career update via a LinkedIn post. He wrote: “Excited to share that I have joined Amazon India as Media Head. It’s been a week now and everyone has been so welcoming. As I return to this organization, I am looking forward to continue working with an amazing set of people and #workhardhavefunmakehistory again!

    This news is also bittersweet as it meant leaving the Purple Family at Mindshare GroupM . Of my 15 years of experience, the majority of them have been spent at Mindshare where I have learnt and grown as a professional every single day with new challenges. Expressing his thanks to his ex co-workers, he added, “It’s what has led me to this point in my career, I am thankful for this organization and its people.     Mumbai: The global business conglomerate Cosmo First on Tuesday announced the elevation of Kulbhushan Malik as the business head for their films business globally. Earlier, he was working as head of operations for international businesses.  

    He will be responsible for devising strategy on operations and business growth.

    Malik brings over 24 years of experience with diverse experience in general management roles with P&L responsibilities, business development and finance roles with a demonstrated record of working in the manufacturing industry.
