    Zee TV to telecast ‘DID Super Moms’ season three on 2 July

    Mumbai: Zee TV has announced that the third edition of DID Super Moms will air from 2 July onwards, every Saturday to Sunday at 9 pm.

    In the past, Zee TV has introduced audiences to non-fiction formats like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Dance India Dance and India’s Best Dramebaaz. These properties are immensely popular talent-based reality TV franchises.

    Launched earlier this year, the fifth season of DID L’il Masters has been consistently topping viewership charts, according to the channel.  Now, the channel is bringing back the DID Super Moms format once again after 7 years.

    The show will be judged by choreographer Remo D’Souza, actor Urmila Matondkar and Bhagyashree Dassani. Jay Bhanushali returns as the host for this season.

    MUMBAI: Zee TV’s acting talent hunt show for kids, India’s Best Dramebaaz, has been winning audiences over with impressive performances by its funky, nautanki bachche, their dramatic flair and their non-stop dramebaazi. Letting its loyal viewers experience the cute and adorable flavour of the show in their daily lives, Zee TV has become the first Hindi GEC in the country to launch an exclusive uber cool Giphy account where fans of the show can now use animated, funny and dramatic GIFs (Graphics Interchange Format) of their favourite contestants, celebrity mentors – Vivek Oberoi, Omung Kumar and Huma Qureshi and the hosts- Shantanu Maheshwari and Vignesh Pandey to express themselves creatively while chatting. These expressions range from happiness (Yayy) to gratitude (Thank You) to laughter (ROTFL) amongst other moods and frames of mind.     MUMBAI: With the year 2015 coming to end, the Hindi general entertainment channels’ (GEC) genre has got itself a new leader in Colors, as per analysis conducted by S-Group, an analytical arm of TAM Media Research.

    The analysis depicts airing of the Kapil Sharma starrer – Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon and Big Boss Double Troublein the weekend playing a pivotal role in the channel’s ascend to the pole position.

     

    Additionally on an overall level, the genre has seen a growth of 51 GRPs compared to week 49. Zee TV was the highest gainer in the genre growing to 181 GRPs in week 50 from 152 GRPs in week 49.

    For Colors, the growth was majorly driven by the back-to-back airing of Kapil Sharma starrer Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon on 6 December, 2015 (first airing – 13:00 to 15:54 & second airing – 15:59 to 18:53) driving up the performance of the entire time band.

    Besides Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, Big Boss Double Trouble – Weekend was another major contributor to the growth of the channel due its increased time spend levels.

    The growth story for Zee TV was its self created property – Zee Rishtey Awards 2015. The award night, which aired on 6 December, 2015, garnered close to 2.8 TVR for the entire event. Moreover the channel saw the launch of the new season of India’s Best Dramebaaz on 12 December, 2015, which saw a rating of 2.3 TVR for the entire episode of 92 minutes.

    Sony Entertainment Television’s 14 GRP growth was driven to a large extent by the premier of Indian epic film – Bahubali: The Beginning, which was aired twice on Sony during week 50. The first airing on 6 December, 2015 garnered 3.2 TVR for the entire movie followed by the second airing on 12 December, 2015, which saw a rating of 1.02 TVR for the entire movie.

    MUMBAI: Earlier this week, media offices went into a tizzy when a small pouch containing a fortune cookie and a chocolate box arrived at journos tables with just a tag ‘& coming soon.’ Additionally, an anonymous email arrived saying that &pictures has bagged the broadcast rights of upcoming film Chennai Express. No one knew who it was from; everyone was kept guessing.

    On 1 August, the anonymous sender’s identity was revealed. A press release arrived from Zee TV proclaiming that it is launching a new movie channel christened &pictures. And it gave sparse details about the channel.

    Now indiantelevision.com would like to reveal more about the initiative to readers: &pictures is currently being led by Zeel chief content and creative officer Bharat Kumar Ranga and is expected to launch a fortnight from now. And the target audience, well, it’s going to be young India, namely the youth. Hence, the channel will run films which excite them and which are not more than a decade old.

    “But that doesn’t mean we will not show cult movies like Jo Jeeta Wohi Sinkandar. Even today youngsters can relate to movies such as these and enjoy them to the fullest. So, whatever our TG wants, we will give it to them,” clarifies the source.

    The network is currently promoting the channel digitally keeping in mind that the TG is normally online 24×7. However, large-scale promotions and marketing activities will start only after the first week’s ratings, elaborates the source.

    Indiantelevision.com has learnt that there is more in the offering from the Zee TV network. It is slated to launch another GEC in September called Anmol which is likely to be like Star Utsav, that plans to air re-runs of Zee TV shows like DID LiL Champs, Indias Best Dramebaaz, Afsar Bitiya, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, Punarvivah and Pavitra Rishta.

    Moreover, the test signals of the channel have already started. Anmol has been added on Dish TV, running on channel no 103 via DD Direct Plus and has replaced 9XM (now on 670). The new channel has also launched its official Facebook page.
