    IAA leadership awards to be presented on 25 July

    Mumbai: The India Chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA) will present its prestigious leadership awards on 25 July in Mumbai. These awards are presented to the leaders of the marketing fraternity who have excelled in their respective fields.

    Committee chair Nandini Dias said, “We are privileged to have a prestigious all-CEO jury panel headed by the indomitable RPG Enterprises chairman Harsh Goenka, along with other eminent jury members: INSPACe chairman and Mahindra & Mahindra ex-MD & CEO Pawan Goenka; ITC divisional chief executive – foods Hemant Malik; Titan Company chief executive officer-watches and wearables division Suparna Mitra; PhillipCapital India managing director & CEO Vineet Bhatnagar; Cuemath chief executive officer Vivek Sunder; and Transsion India CEO Arijeet Talapatra.”

    “Over the years, we have come to evolve a streamlined and structured process that takes into account rigorous data points to arrive at the shortlist for each predetermined category. This enables the jury to conduct exhaustive and well-founded deliberations before they arrive at the final winners,” he added.

    IAA president Megha Tata shared, “The Leadership awards are known for the superlative audience they attract. Apart from the marketers, there are also special awards for categories like Business Leader of the Year, IAA Creative Agency Leader of the Year, IAA Media Agency Leader of the Year, IAA Media Game Changer of the Year, IAA Media Person of the Year and IAA TV Anchor of the Year.”

    “One distinguished advertising professional will be inducted into the IAA Hall of Fame that evening. Past recipients of the Business Leader of the Year award who have accepted the award in person include Mukesh Ambani, Kumar Birla, Ajay Piramal, and Nitin Paranjpe, to name a few, she added. One can expect the tallest business leader in the country to personally accept this award on July 25 and address the select audience. This year, a couple of special awards sponsored by IAA Global will also be presented at the event.”

    ColourCraft bags AIESEC India digital mandate

    MUMBAI: The India chapter of the youth-run, non-profit organization AIESEC has given the mandate to ColourCraft Studio (CCS) for designing and developing multiple websites to strengthen the organization’s digital presence.

    CCS will leverage and amplify the appeal of India as a major contributor to AIESEC’s aim to address the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals through AIESEC’s volunteership and professional internship programs. By emphasizing on India’s rich historical and cultural background, CCS plans to project the country as an internship destination. The projects were won following a two month-long brainstorming session between CCS & AIESEC.

    ColourCraft is working on understanding what makes AIESEC such an inspiring organization for the youth worldwide and aims to emit the spirit of the organization while showcasing India as a major cultural destination for global interns.

    CCS Co-founder and business director, Aditi Gandhi said, “The trust in CCS is a huge opportunity for us to create large-scale, strategy-driven and creatively-inclined digital assets.”

    AIESEC in India B2B VP Sean Ankit Bothra said, “We were looking for a partner who would understand and communicate our core values in an out-of- the-box manner. The idea is to work together towards building effective designs and strategies to further enhance AIESEC’s iconic status.

    “We hope to explore AIESEC in India’s potential to enhance the development of today’s Indian youth and break the mindsets of Internationals about the Indian realities.”

    IAA invites entries for 5th Olive Crown Awards

    MUMBAI: The India Chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA) has announced its call for entries for Olive Crown Awards.

    In its fifth year, the Olive Crown Awards are Asia’s first and only awards that recognise excellence in communicating sustainability. Run along with the Asian Federation of Advertising Associations (AFAA), these awards have been attracting entries from India and Asia. Run as a cause, there is no entry fee charged.

    IAA Asia Pacific development VP and IAA India chapter president Srinivasan K Swamy said, “These awards have grown from strength to strength. This is our way of showing that we as professionals in the communications industry are not just custodians of the brands we work for, but are also custodians of Brand Earth. We are very happy with the warm response we have received from all sections of our industry.”

    IAA vice president and Olive Crown Awards Committee chairman Neeraj Roy added, “I feel the Olive Crowns have pulled the green message back on top of the strategic agenda. More corporates and Agencies are realizing how important it is to do their bit for the environment as evidenced by the increasing interest and stature of these awards.”

    Asian Federation of Advertising Associations (AFAA) chairman Pradeep Guha said, “I am pleased that IAA and AFAA are partners in the Olive Crown initiative. This remains the first and only such effort in Asia and needs to be encouraged at every level. I am also glad the Corporate Social Crusader Award, which was launched last year and received such a great response from corporates has been continued this year.”
