    Mumbai: With the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup all set to begin on  2 June 2024, cricket fans across the nation are stoked as they cheer for the Men in Blue. Earlier this week, Disney+ Hotstar announced their collaboration with the young Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan as he came on board as the face of the platform’s campaign, Free for All, Har Match Har Ball. As an extension of this campaign, Disney+ Hotstar has released another ad film reiterating their ‘Free on mobile’ offering for the tournament enabling all the cricket fans across the country to never miss any cricketing action.

    Similar to the first film, this ad too is vibrant and captures the essence of India’s love for cricket. Set in a village, it showcases everyday scenarios like power cuts, or families fighting for the remote with a fun twist. Conceptualized by the Disney+ Hotstar team and directed by Vijay Maurya, the ad talks about Disney+ Hotstar’s ‘Free on mobile’ proposition, it also places emphasis on the app’s special data saver mode for matches so that viewers across the country can enjoy the tournament without having to worry about running out of data packages.

    Kartik Aaryan said, “Cricket in India isn’t just a game; it’s a bond that connects us all, regardless of age or background.     The first match will take place between the USA and Canada on 2 June 2024 at 6:00 AM IST.     Mumbai: Students at Raje Shivaji Vidyalay in Dharavi, Mumbai, were given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity when cricket legends Harbhajan Singh and Mithali Raj visited their school on Wednesday. The veterans spent a fun-filled morning with the school children at the special event organised by Disney Star in collaboration with Yuva Unstoppable.

    The duo, who are part of the Star Sports commentary panel for the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, played cricket with the kids and gave them real-time game insights.  

    The students had a memorable day because an exciting game of cricket was followed by a heart-to-heart conversation with their favorite heroes.

    Former Team India spinner Harbhajan Singh said, “I would like to thank Disney Star, along with Yuva Unstoppable, who gave me the opportunity to come here and spend quality time to play cricket with these children. Whenever we meet with kids, the happiness and smiles we see on their faces, is the real victory in life. Today, their day was made along with mine.”

    Former India Women’s captain Mithali Raj said, “Today was a surreal experience and it was amazing to interact with some talented students at Dharavi. I had a lot of fun playing and even shared a few cricket tips with them. Our country has plenty of talent, both girls and boys, and such kind of events will only inspire them to excel and work hard in everything that they want to do. Today was a special day which I will remember for a long time!”

    For over two years, Disney Star has been associated with Yuva Unstoppable for the School Transformation Program. Disney Star has so far transformed 40 schools across the country.  

    The program will enhance government-run schools by renovating the school campus, thereby encouraging students to continue their education. Sanitation (separate toilets for boys and girls), improved access to water (separate drinking and dishwashing areas), making the school building brighter, educational paintings, smart classrooms, rainwater harvesting, providing tablets for digital learning, equipping science labs, and more are some of the key areas of this intervention.

    Mumbai: Amidst the on-going ICC Men’s T20 World Cup fever, Disney+ Hotstar elevates the cricketainment experience with the launch of Follow On. This is a special video feed that gives a real-time account of the cricket match – complete with stats, expert opinions, and insights into the game. Disney+ Hotstar makes Follow On available for all users—subscribers as well as freemium users. Freemium users on Disney+ Hotstar will be switched to Follow On after the free live cricket timer (a free sampling of live cricket offered to freemium users) expires, to be able to follow the game seamlessly.

    Follow On’s viewers can get analysis with graphics and visuals in Hindi by cricket commentators such as Sunil Vaidya, Sanjay Banerjee, Raman Bhanot, Vineet Garg, Naveen Srivastava, Reema Malhotra, Ajay Mehra, Padmajeet Sehrawat, and Manoj Sharma.

    Mumbai: Multiplex chain Inox Leisure Ltd on Thursday announced the onboarding of Nissan India as official sponsor of the World Cup screening at Inox.

    The partnership will see Nissan India and Inox working across various digital media platforms including on-screen and video wall advertisements, as well as hosting live match screening sessions for their exclusive clientele and dealer partners. Nissan is the official sponsor of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and Nissan Magnite is the official car of the tournament.

    “The initiative presents a great opportunity for the fans who wish to experience the ‘stadium energy’ in a carnival-like, safe and hygienic setting, while enjoying Inox’s food-combos and gourmet options served at the multiplexes,” read an official statement by Inox.

    Inox Leisure Ltd chief sales and revenue officer Anand Vishal said, “With an aim to provide a holistic experience to our patrons, we have constantly been working on our alliances to help us elevate their cinema-going experience. The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is one of the much-awaited cricketing events across the globe, and it is a privilege for us to screen the matches LIVE at our cinemas. The partnership with Nissan India adds a new dimension and further strengthens our brand offering.”

    The seventh edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup hosted by BCCI in UAE and Oman began on 17 October and the final match is scheduled on 14 November. Inox will showcase all matches played by team India, along with marquee league matches, the semi-finals and the final in all major cities in India, said the statement.

    Inox to screen ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup matches live

    Mumbai: Inox Leisure Ltd, has announced that it will be screening LIVE matches of the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup 2021 at its multiplexes in all major cities across the country.

    The 7th edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup hosted by BCCI in UAE and Oman is beginning on 17 October. The Final is scheduled on 14 November 2021.

    Depending on the market, the multiplex chain will have differential pricing for tickets ranging from Rs. 200 in tier-3 cities to Rs. 500 in metros.

    The multiplex brand is expecting to draw cricket fans in large numbers by offering them an exceptional stadium-like experience of their favourite sport. Inox will showcase all league matches to be played by Team India, along with marquee league matches, the Semi-Finals and the Final.
