    Siyaram’s latest brand campaign honours tailoring community

    Mumbai: On the occasion of World Tailor’s Day on 28 February, Siyaram’s Silk Mills has unveiled a new campaign celebrating the hard work that tailors do. The campaign called ‘Kahani Karigar Ki’ has been conceptualised and executed by Agency09.

    The brand campaign focuses on the connection between a tailor and his customers, and the joy they share. It showcases the joy of the customer who gets to wear something delightful and the tailor who gets to bring these positive emotions to others.

    “Through Kahani Karigar Ki, we wanted to celebrate every tailor everywhere, no matter how big or small,” commented Siyaram Silk Mills VP of marketing N Gangadhar. “We recognise the crucial role that tailors play in the lives of our brand and of our consumers, and we are delighted that this campaign recognises their incredible contribution to the happiness of every person their clothes drape.”

    “Tailors are an important part of our brand’s ecosystem. They are the very first users of Siyaram’s fabrics, and we wanted to honour them through this campaign, while capturing the connection between an individual and his go-to tailor,” added Agency09 senior manager – brand strategy Saheb Singh.

    NDTV Design and Architecture Awards 2014 Honour Excellence and Innovation

    MUMBAI: NDTV hosted its second edition of the Design and Architecture Awards 2014, presented by GROHE, Europe’s largest and the world’s leading premium single-brand manufacturer and supplier of sanitary fittings. The second edition of the awards gave an opportunity to every architect and interior designer to showcase their talent and get recognized for their work. This year’s grand ceremony was hosted by Manisha Natarajan, Senior Vice President Corporate Affairs and Senior Editor Real Estate, NDTV NDTV; Rajiv Makhani; Beverly White and was held at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai on 13th February, 2015.

    The NDTV Design & Architecture Awards have been hailed as one of the best by the Architect Guild for its rigour, discipline and credibility. Carrying the baton forward this time the awards had a two tier jury which made them more disciplined and credible. The two tier jury was divided into a shortlist jury and a final selection jury.

    Present on the occasion were eminent personalities including Prasoon Joshi, Ad film Director & Lyricist; Atul Kasbekar, Indian fashion photographer; Prahlad Kakkar, Ad film Director; Perizad Zorabian, Actress; Boman Rustom Irani, Chairman & MD, Rustomjee Group (Perizad's husband);Kiran Nagarkar, Novelist & playwrite; Aman Nath, Architectural restorer & Writer; Ar Vilas Avachat; Ar Paresh Kapadia; Krishna Rao Jaisim; Vinita Chaitanya; Sandeep Khosla; Kamal Malik; Sanjay Puri and Anu Malik.

    The highly coveted awards focused on innovation, sustainability and a strong contextual response of the design to its surroundings. These awards offer consumers a wide list of professionals whom they can turn to when remodeling and refurbishing their homes.

    The Design and Architecture Awards 2014 were hosted in partnership with Grohe India and powered by Polycab. The Associate Partners for the awards were D&M and Century Ply.     India TV to honour the brave

    MUMBAI: India TV has come up with a new initiative that is called ‘Salaam India’ that will promote acts of courage and valor done by the common man. People who have risked their own lives to save another person’s life will be awarded for their act of bravery and to encourage the same in others.

    Officers’ Choice packaged drinking water is the title sponsor for the awards that will present four categories – Bravery Awards, Gallantry Awards, Damini Awards and Special Awards. Nominations have been asked from all over the country.

    India TV MD and CEO Ritu Dhawan said, “As a responsible news channel, it is indeed a matter of pride for us to attempt to bring to fore light the sense of true bravery, as an inspiration for the rest of the nation.” The event will be held on 28 September at the Taj Palace in New Delhi.

    This is the second time that India TV is having an awards ceremony. The previous one was India TV Yuva Awards earlier this year.

    Salman Khan to shake a leg in honour of the Bollywood legends in Chicago

    MUMBAI: Bollywood‘s biggest night is all set to turn more glamorous with cinema‘s ‘Dabangg‘ star Salman Khan performing alongside his Ek Tha Tiger co-star Katrina Kaif at the Sears Center Arena, Hoffman Estates, Chicago, for the show – 100 Years of Indian Cinema Concert and Awards. The event which is one of its kind is scheduled to start on 30 August and end on 1 September.

    It is reported that the organisers are going the extra mile to reminisce the glorious history of the Indian cinema. The exclusively dedicated two day celebration will sport a number of Bollywood performances from top Bollywood stars including Sonashi Sinha, Prabhu Deva, Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh, and more dancing to chart-topping numbers dating from 1913-2013.The dance performances will be choreographed by the dancing superstar, Prabhu Deva.

    The highlight of the event apart from the Awards presented to the living legends of Indian Cinema will be Salman‘s entertaining performance.

    Says Sudesh Sonawane of Entertainment Synergies, “Our focus is to celebrate 100 years of Indian cinema worldwide and besides that we also plan to host an extravagant musical concert featuring leading playback singers Usha Mangeshkar, Krishna Beura and more from Bollywood.”

    While leaving no stone unturned it would be no surprises if the organisers add more exciting names to the list of performers.
