    MUMBAI: Airtel Digital TV and Shemaroo Entertainment Limited have launched a collection of classic Bollywood movies and music service titled SadabaharHitz. The ad free service is available at a fee of Rs 39 per month and can be watched on channel number 164.

    Shemaroo Entertainment Limited director Hiren Gada said, “We are glad to launch SadabaharHitz– a service that showcases evergreen films and songs on a platform like Airtel Digital TV, one of the most popular DTH players in our country.     Shemaroo Entertainment, Videocon d2h launch religious channel

    MUMBAI: Shemaroo Entertainment has joined hands with Videocon d2h to launch a 24 hr ad free devotional channel “d2h Darshan” according to a press release filed at the bourses by Shemaroo. The channel plans to offer a wide variety of religeous and religion related content such as temple tourism, jaaps, mantras, kathas, popular bhajans, holy Books etc. d2h Darshan can be subscribed at Rs. 30 per month from 1st Dec 2015 and is available for Videocon d2h consumers on channel number 481..

     

    According to the release, d2h Darshan will also attempt to explain the meaning and significance of important elements extracted from the Vedas and other scriptures. The videos programmed on each day of the week will be as per the special significance of that day devoted to a deity. For example Monday is devoted to Shiva, Tuesday for Ganesha, and so on. The channel also plans to offer  customized  content  around important   festivals   and   various   events   based   on   the religious calendar. Shemaroo will draw from its bank of more than 2000 hours of devotional content to specially create this unique service.

    MUMBAI: After joining hands with Airtel Digital TV, Shemaroo Entertainment has now tied up with yet another DTH operator – Tata Sky to launch its subscription-based movie premiere service Miniplex.

     

    The subscription based ad-free service Miniplex will premiere one movie every Friday for the first time on Indian television as well as other recent movies.

     

    As was reported earlier by Indiantelevision.com, in addition to DTH, Shemaroo also plans to launch Miniplex across other platforms like cable and online in a phased manner.

     

    The monthly subscription price for the service is Rs 60. To activate it, consumers can give a missed call to 9230892308. For HD subscribers, the service is on channel number 298, whereas for SD subscribers, it is on 298.

     

    Shemaroo Entertainment director Hiren Gada said, “Miniplex is a subscription-based movie premiere service curated to cater to movie lovers across the country. We are glad to tie up with Tata Sky for this service. Tata Sky consumers can now enjoy world television premiere of movies on every Friday.     The ‘Premieres’ are supported by ‘Premiums,’ which are movies released post 2005. ‘Premiums’ will be showcased for five days of the week with everyday featuring a new movie.

    MUMBAI: Shemaroo Entertainment tied up with direct to home (DTH) platform Airtel Digital TV to launch a movie premiere service called Miniplex.

     

    Miniplex will premiere one movie every Friday for the first time on Indian television. In addition, the service, which is an ad free subscription based service will also showcase other recent movies.

     

    In addition to DTH, Shemaroo also plans to launch Miniplex across various other platforms, like cable and online in a phased manner in the future. 

     

    Miniplex is a cross platform subscription-based movie premiere service that will provide the audiences an opportunity to view premiere and also premium movie content for a subscription fee of Rs 60 per month or Rs 3 daily. The Miniplex service will be available on channel number 162 on Airtel Digital TV. 

     

    Shemaroo Entertainment director Hiren Gada said, “Miniplex is a richly curated movie premiere service and we are glad to launch it with a partner like Airtel Digital TV. We have seen that apart from the top few movies of the year, audiences end up missing most movies in theatres.     Shemaroo acquires TV distribution rights to Red Chillies’ films

    MUMBAI: Shemaroo Entertainment has acquired the exclusive television distribution rights to Red Chillies Entertainment’s film library.

     

    The deal includes a dozen blockbuster films of Shah Rukh Khan namely Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, Chalte Chalte, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa and Asokaamong others.

     

    Shemaroo Entertainment director Hiren Gada said, “We are excited to join hands with Red Chillies to distribute its content on TV platform.  This is just the beginning of a synergic relationship with them and we hope to go a long way ahead. The catalogue that we have acquired is definitely a value addition to our library as Shah Rukh Khan is the superstar of the industry and his movies have mass appeal.     Shemaroo bags Maharashtra Govt’s digital restoration job

    MUMBAI: Leading content owner and distributor, Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd, has won a contract to digitally restore Maharashtra government’s 4,000 minutes of content.

    According to the agreement, the company would have to restore many short films and documentaries of the state government from negative/print.

    Observed Shemaroo Entertainment director Hiren Gada, “We are honoured to get an opportunity to serve the Govt. of Maharashtra and digitally restore many of its films and documentaries. The process will enable us to save a large pie of content from getting lost.”

    It may be noted that Shemaroo set up its in-house state-of-the-art digital post-production studio in 2001. Shemaroo has restored films like Mohabbatein, Veer Zaara, Anand, Chupke Chupke, Kaajal, Mahaan, Mera Gaon Mera Desh and Deewaar among others.

    Shemaroo acquires digital & home video rights of The Dirty Picture

    MUMBAI: Leading content provider and aggregator in the Indian digital space, Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd, has acquired the digital and home Video rights of Balaji Motion Pictures’ Vidya Balan-starrer, The Dirty Picture.

    Confirming the news, Shemaroo Entertainment director Hiren Gada said: “Yes, we have indeed acquired the digital and home video rights of the year’s stupendous hit, The Dirty Picture.”

    However, Gada remained non-commtital on the price his company acquired the right for and for how long a period Shemaroo could show it. “We are bound by a non-disclosure agreement with Balaji,” he quipped.

    Shemaroo will distribute the film on various digital platforms like Internet, IPTV and mobile worldwide. The home video release will be in January itself.

    The film is performing well at the box office. According to three-week data available with Indiantelevision.com, The Dirty Picture netted Rs 794.5 million at the box office.

    “To further continue with the grand success of the film, we feel it is the right time to bring it out on the home video,” observed Balaji CFO Srinivasa Shenoy.
