    Tribes Communication appoints Himanka Das as chief strategy officer

    Mumbai: Tribes Communication has appointed Himanka Das as chief strategy officer to lead the organization’s strategic vision and drive its ambitious expansion goals. In under a decade, the group has transformed from an out-of-home (OOH) solutions service provider into a formidable comprehensive marketing powerhouse.

    As an industry leader, Himanka Das brings with him more than two decades of experience in media and marketing communication, having worked across 250 plus brands and managed large investment portfolios. He is a seasoned executive with a strong strategy orientation to drive business outcomes and has worn many hats before taking on the role of chief strategy officer at Tribes. In the recent past, Himanka was serving as country director at Infomo, a global AI AdTech pioneer in the first-party data space. He has held leadership roles at Dentsu International for over nine years, which included three years as CEO of its group company, Vizeum India and as EVP Carat, India. Himanka began his career at Madison World, building his career working at Initiative, Lintas Media Group, FCB Ulka of IPG and Starcom of Publicis Media.

    Prior to joining Infomo, Himanka took an academic sabbatical to earn a postgraduate qualification in data science from International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Bangalore to accelerate his analytical skills. He also has a Masters in International Marketing and Mass Communication Studies from University of Pune.

    MUMBAI: Dentsu Aegis Network has strengthened its media group across Carat and Vizeum to provide a future-proofed, digitally ahead, holistic solution to clients. Kartik Iyer has been elevated to president, Media Brands and Amplifi.

    Dentsu Aegis Network chairman and CEO South Asia Ashish Bhasin said, “To enable a more future ready product for our clients, our media agencies have been reorganized for the rapidly changing market environment under the unified leadership of Kartik Iyer who has been leading our fastest growing media agency, Carat, for over eight years now.     Shripad Kulkarni has decided to pursue interests outside of the company after the end of this year.

  • Carat Media is media AoR of Embassy of Ireland

    MUMBAI: Embassy of Ireland has appointed Carat Media as its media AoR.

    The agency‘s mandate will be to promote Ireland as a tourist, business and educational destination.

    The account will be handled out of the agency‘s Mumbai office.
    Carat India senior vice-president -West Himanka Das said, “We are delighted to extend our partnership with the Embassy of Ireland in India and look forward to creating a stronger audience pull to visit Ireland as a tourist destination and also to promote business and education through holistic solutions that are media-neutral.”

    MUMBAI: Carat India has appointed Himanka Das as senior vice president west. He will report to Carat India managing director Kartik Iyer.

    Das has an experience of eight years with Lintas Media Group as vice president working across diverse geographies.

    Iyer commented, “I have had the opportunity of working with Himanka in the past when he has proven himself to be a great team leader and we are delighted to have him with us. This, combined with his strong background in strategic planning will be a great asset to Carat Media in India and he will definitely play a pivotal role in this growth phase of Carat.”

    Himanka is a physics graduate and holds a Masters Degree in Mass Communication Science and has spent 15 years in media, working on brands like Jyothy Laboratories, Union Bank of India, Samsonite Group, Bharat Petroleum, Hamdard, Maruti Udyog Ltd.
