    MUMBAI: After orchestrating marketing symphonies at Spotify India for nearly four years, Pulkit Mathur has scored a promotion to head of product and growth marketing at the streaming behemoth. The appointment, which took effect in February 2025, elevates Mathur from his previous role as marketing manager, where he had been spinning strategies since August 2021.

    Before joining the Swedish streaming service, Mathur spent over five years at Tata Sky Ltd, where he climbed the ranks from area sales manager to senior brand manager. His tenure at the satellite television provider saw him conducting successful campaigns that struck a chord with regional audiences.

    The marketing virtuoso also collaborated with Ogilvy to redefine Tata Sky’s brand purpose and worked with research teams to establish creative testing methods, including the use of neuroscience.

    Mathur’s earlier career movements included stints at Hero MotoCorp Ltd, where he served as assistant manager and graduate engineering trainee, as well as brief interludes at Unilever as a management intern and at the ColorssFoundation for community development work

    MUMBAI: Hero Motocorp is revving up its electric ambitions, acquiring a significant stake in Euler Motors, a fast-growing player in the EV space. The deal, worth up to Rs 525 crore, will give Hero a strong foothold in the booming electric three-wheeler market, where EVs are expected to hit 35 per cent of total sales in the near future.

    “Our strategic investment in Euler is a bold step towards realising our vision to ‘Be the Future of Mobility’,” said Pawan Munjal, executive chairman, calling the move a blend of innovation, sustainability, and smart expansion.

    The investment, approved by Hero’s board, will be made in one or more tranches and will see Hero take an approximately 32.5 per cent stake in Euler on a fully diluted basis. The funds will be a mix of primary investment in equity and Series D convertible preference shares, along with the option to buy shares from existing Euler shareholders.

    Euler Motors, already present in 30 Indian cities, is a rising force in electric three-wheelers and recently launched its first electric commercial four-wheeler. The company’s turnover has accelerated sharply, jumping from Rs 25 crore in 2022 to Rs 172 crore in 2024.

    Focusing on comfort, the scooter offers spacious legroom and an extended seat perfect for long urban commutes. Enhanced with a modern digital speedometer, a 190mm front disc brake, and the robust 12/12 platform, the Destini 125 guarantees superior handling and stability. The innovative i3S (Idle Stop-Start System) technology further boosts fuel efficiency.

    Hero MotoCorp  chief business officer – India business unit – Ranjivjit Singh expressed excitement for the new Destini 125, saying, “It combines style, convenience, and advanced technology to meet modern rider demands.”

    Powered by a refined 125cc engine, the scooter delivers 9 bhp and 10.4 Nm of torque, ensuring both efficiency and performance. Convenience features include a front glove box, boot lamp for low-light access, and Bluetooth connectivity for real-time navigation and alerts.

    Safety is prioritised with advanced LED projector headlamps and reliable brakes, making it suitable for both city commutes and leisurely rides. Its neo-retro design, with LED daytime running lights and premium alloy wheels, adds to its appeal.

    The Destini 125 will be available in five exclusive color options, including Eternal White, Regal Black, and Groovy Red, ensuring it meets diverse consumer tastes.

    MUMBAI: Wish a lot many more sports had this kind of support. Strengthening its commitment to the growth and development of hockey, the world’s largest maker of bikes and scooters Hero MotoCorp  has signed on as the title sponsor of the Hockey India League (HIL) for the next three seasons, starting from 2024-25.  Specific sponsorship amounts were not disclosed, but guesstimate are that it is in the double digit crore territory.Coal India was the previous title sponsor.

    This  alliance between Hero MotoCorp and the HIL  aims to rejuvenate one of India’s most cherished sports, expanding its reach and fostering a vibrant platform for emerging talent.

    The tournament, set to begin on  28  December will feature eight men’s teams and, for the first time, four women’s teams. The introduction of the Women’s HIL  marks a historic milestone in Indian hockey, underscoring a significant step forward for the inclusion and empowerment of women in sports.

With their title sponsorship, we are confident that the Hero Hockey India League will reach greater heights, inspiring players and fans alike. Together, we aim to make this league a true celebration of hockey as IndiaKaGame.”

    HIL governing committee member Bhola Nath Singh added, “Hero MotoCorp’s partnership is a testament to the growing popularity of the HIL.Their support will not only enhance the league’s visibility but also strengthen the narrative of hockey as a unifying force in India.”
