    Mumbai: Cisco has elevated Joshua Mathew as the head of India marketing. He has been associated with Cisco for more than four years.

    Over the years, he has been responsible for different positions at Cisco. He joined the company back in 2018 as a senior field marketing manager and was made the leader of APJC campaign marketing in April.

    Mathew has more than 20 years of experience. Over the years he has worked with companies like Microsoft, IBM India, TNT Express, Rediffusion DY&R, DIREM marketing etc.

    In his various positions with these companies, he has executed successful marketing campaigns with expertise in analysing, tracking, managing and supervising the marketing.

    Ruchika Tandon joins Indigo Consulting as head of marketing & strategic alliances

    Mumbai: Publicis Groupe India’s Indigo Consulting has appointed Ruchika Tandon as head of marketing and strategic alliances. She will report to Indigo Consulting chief growth officer Krishna Chanadaluri.

    In her new role, Tandon will work closely with key strategic customers of Indigo Consulting to align with their technology landscape and roadmap to co-create compelling JGTM offerings. She will leverage the agency’s unique strengths, further building on its rapid-fire success and momentum.

    She brings on board a wide spectrum of experience of over 14 years in Telecommunication and BFSI. Tandon has worked extensively with the sales and product teams across multiple geographies, driving growth and customer success.

    Prior to this, she worked at Comviva Technologies where she led Digital Marketing and Employer Branding Practices for more than 12 years.

    Mumbai: Melorra, a homegrown D2C brands designing BIS hallmarked and trendy fine jewellery has announced the appointment of Kushal Singh as head of marketing. Prior to this, Singh was with Domino’s India as vice president – marketing.

    In this new role, Singh will be responsible for leading the brand, marketing and growth strategy for Melorra, said the statement. “He will also help in strengthening brand communication and building capabilities that help scale Melorra’s omnichannel play,” it added.

    ICICI Lombard names Sheena Kapoor as marketing, corporate communications & CSR head

    Mumbai: Private general insurance company ICICI Lombard has named Sheena Kapoor as its new head – marketing, corporate communications and CSR.  

    In this role, Kapoor will focus on developing and strengthening corporate advertising and branding, customer-oriented awareness strategies, across all company product lines and geographies, said the company in a statement. “She will spearhead the company’s innovative efforts with an enterprise-wide focus, thereby aiding in scaling the company’s overall brand positioning among other players,” it added.

She has also worked with Times of India Group spanning 11 years as head of innovations and earlier as head of marketing for their real estate and financial services divisions.

    Mumbai: Electric mobility brand Yulu has brought Ankit Taparia on board as the head of marketing.

    In this role, his primary responsibilities include making Yulu synonymous with sustainable mobility and a leader in the shared mobility space, said the brand in a statement.

    Taparia brings with him a deep understanding of mobility business and experience of branding, marketing, and business delivery. He also has launched and managed more Indian auto brands. In his last assignment as deputy general manager – marketing, Taparia was the head for Mahindra Bolero.

    Mumbai: Cars24 has brought Sudhir Shukla on board as chief marketing officer (CMO). In this new role, Shukla will be responsible for marketing and growth of the company’s India business, according to his Linkedin profile.

    In his most recent role, Shukla worked with Star Sports as head of marketing. In this role, his key responsibility was to drive consumption for the entire sports portfolio.

    Prior to his elevation, he was senior vice president – cricket. He joined Star as VP and head – marketing and brand strategy where he led projects across Hotstar, entertainment, and sports.

    Before joining Star, Shukla worked with Mondelez International as head-modern trade, CSD and away from (NCD) channel. He was associated with Mondelez for over a decade.

    Shukla is an alumnus of XLRI, Jamshedpur and Vivekanand Education Society’s Institute of Technology.

    Dhirendra Yashwant appointed as Sun Marathi head of marketing

    Mumbai: Sun TV Network has appointed Dhirendra Yashwant as head of marketing for its newly launched general entertainment channel (GEC) Sun Marathi.

    Sun TV Network is one of India’s largest broadcasters and has a massive viewership in the South. It recently forayed into Marathi GEC space with the launch of the free-to-air channel Sun Marathi.

    Yashwant was previously associated with Shemaroo Entertainment as DGM – marketing for two and a half years. During his 13 years in the TV industry, he has been associated with Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL), and Times Network.

    He has experience launching new channels including the launch of Marathi film channel Shemaroo MarathiBana and Hindi GEC Shemaroo TV in his previous assignment. Shemaroo MarathiBana crossed the 100 GRPs mark in the fifth month of operations, which set a milestone in Marathi television. He also has experience working on the Marathi channels Zee Marathi and Zee Talkies during his stint at ZEEL.

    His expertise lies in managing TV brands across various genres including GEC, films, music, business and general news and across multiple languages including English, Hindi, and Marathi. His media experience includes working on TV, OTT, print, films, and radio.

    He is an alumnus of Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies.
