Ranbir Kapoor tells men to skip the copy and show their original with Vi-John

MUMBAI: No more copy-paste looks, it is time to hit refresh. Vi-John, India’s number 1 shaving cream brand, has launched its bold new campaign with Ranbir Kapoor at the helm, urging men to stop being a “photocopy” and instead showcase their authentic selves.

Titled “Photocopy nahi, original dikho”, the campaign shifts grooming from a chore to a statement of individuality. For a brand trusted in Indian homes for over six decades, this marks a sharp step into the world of today’s confident, self-expressive men.

“Today’s generation doesn’t want to blend in, they want to stand out,” said Ranbir Kapoor. “Grooming plays a big role in that. Vi-John’s message is simple but strong: don’t be a photocopy, own your vibe.”

Conceptualised by Havas Creative India with media handled by Dentsu, the campaign cuts across TV, print, digital, and social platforms. With its witty, clutter-breaking narrative, it repositions Vi-John not just as a shaving brand, but as a confidence partner for men everywhere.

Vi-John Group, managing director, Harshit Kochar said, “With this campaign, we are celebrating individuality. Vi-John has always stood for trust and accessibility, but we also want to stay relevant to the aspirations of today’s youth.”

The campaign also highlights Vi-John’s new premium shaving line, featuring sulphate-free, dermatologically tested creams and razors, designed to blend care with performance.

As Havas Creative’s Anupama Ramaswamy put it, “Trends are easy to follow, but originality is what sets you apart. This campaign pushes men to embrace their unique style, with Ranbir delivering that message in his trademark charm.”

With “Photocopy nahi, original dikho”, Vi-John sharpens its edge for a new generation, reminding men that true style begins with originality.

Havas Creative signs on Tanisha Sharma as executive vice-president

MUMBAI: She’s got exposed to leading a channel, building a cult motorcycle brand, and she’s even turned entrepreneur before returning to the advertising world. The lady in question is Tanisha Sharma who has just moved to the Havas Creative Network as executive vice-president from FCB India where she was senior vice-president for nearly three years.

A bachelor of arts degree in history followed by a post graduate diploma in marketing and advertising from Xavier Institute of Communication got Tanisha  her first ob at Rediffusion Y&R in 2005 as a senior account executive. From there, she moved to JWT into account management where she stayed for almost a couple of years. And then came a surprising and unexpected leap into the world of television with her being appointed a manager of MTV where she crafted out strategies for the youth-oriented service for two and a half years.

With that experience behind her she was drafted as senior brand manager for Royal Enfield – a stint she kept for two years and some months after which she founded a card company which created bespoke invitations and stationery. That did not last for longer than two years and six months following which it was back to advertising with her joining Dentsu Impact as general manager in 2019. A gradual progression upwards saw her becoming associate vice-president – a position which she left to join FCB India. And now she is at Havas Creative.

  • Mamaearth’s campaign celebrates womanhood and Durga Maa

Mamaearth’s campaign celebrates womanhood and Durga Maa

Mumbai: Mamaearth, from Honasa Consumer Ltd and the fastest growing BPC brand in India to reach an annual revenue of ₹10 billion (in the preceding 12 months) within six years of launch (as of September 30, 2022) launches a captivating campaign that pays homage to Durga Maa and her various forms, while celebrating the multifaceted spirit of womanhood with its exquisite range of makeup offerings.

The heart of this campaign is a soul-stirring film that serves as a heartfelt ode to Durga Maa and to women everywhere. This initiative’s core objective is to embrace and celebrate the diversity of womanhood in all its splendid forms. Mamaearth has collaborated with accomplished artists to reimagine various avatars of Maa Durga using Mamaearth makeup products.

The film begins with a mesmerizing montage of Durga Maa’s portraits, each capturing the essence of her nine divine avatars. It then seamlessly transitions into the hands of skilled artists crafting magnificent Durga sketches and paintings using Mamaearth’s versatile makeup range which includes lipsticks, Foundations, Concealer, Compact, Lip & Eye Tint, Kajal, Kohl, & Eye liner. Eastern India’s Durga Pujo serves as a powerful platform for these artists to showcase their creativity and devotion. These artworks beautifully represent the nine facets of womanhood: Strength, Devotion, Knowledge, Fierceness, Empathy, Fearlessness, Wisdom, and Success. Through this film, Mamaearth wishes to celebrate women and their virtues and reaffirm that every woman is an embodiment of the diverse avatars of Maa Durga.

Commenting on the same, Honasa Consumer Ltd chief marketing officer Anuja Mishra commented: “In the spirit of Durga Puja and the celebration of womanhood, Mamaearth’s new campaign is a heartfelt tribute to both Durga Maa and women everywhere. We’ve taken an innovative path by collaborating with

artists who have beautifully reimagined Maa Durga’s avatars using the vibrant colors from Mamaearth’s makeup range. This initiative is our way of embracing and celebrating the diverse facets of womanhood. Just like the nine divine avatars of ‘Nobodurga,’ every woman embodies strength, devotion, knowledge, fierceness, empathy, fearlessness, wisdom, and success. Through this film, we pay homage to the eternal muse of Durga Maa and the inspiring women who carry her spirit within them.”

Comments from Havas Creative chief creative officer Anupama Ramaswamy, “As Pujo season approaches, the vibrant spirit of Durga Ma showcases the artistic creations of numerous talents. It’s a time when women of all generations grace the pandals in their finest attire, radiating confidence and charisma. Naturally, when we envisioned a Durga Puja campaign for Mamaearth, their Makeup Range seemed like the perfect match. We needed something disruptive and that’s how we thought of bringing 4 artists on board to do what they do best. Bring the 9 forms of Durga on their canvases. Everything remains the same. The only twist — there are no paints used at all, only Mamaearth lipsticks, kajals and foundations. The campaign draws parallels between how artists use Paints as Shringar to bring out the avatars of Durga and how women use Makeup as Shringar to bring out their own avatars. In doing so, we celebrate what Durga Ma truly represents — the multifacetedness of being a woman.”

The 54-sec film is conceptualised by Havas Media worldwide.

Durex unveils #ComeTogether campaign to create awareness about orgasm inequality

MUMBAI: Research reveals that men get aroused quickly while women tend to take time. Durex India has launched a new brand campaign which aims to create awareness about orgasm inequality, the film highlights the fact that sex is great when you #ComeTogether. The campaign has been conceptualised and executed by Havas Creative.

As per the Global Sex Survey conducted by Durex in 2017, nearly 70 per cent of women in India don’t orgasm every time they have sex. The campaign takes on the issue of orgasm inequality by normalising conservations and providing product solution for both men and women so that they #ComeTogether, thereby helping reduce the orgasm gap.

The brand has launched a revolutionary product called – Durex Mutual Climax Condoms which speeds her up and slows him down so that they both peak together.

Using statistical and cultural truths, the campaign intends to rally public opinion towards having a healthy, positive and important conversation about the awareness, culture and science around the issue of orgasm equality.

RB South Asia Health chief marketing officer Pankaj Duhan said, “We are very excited about launching our latest innovation Mutual Climax condoms. Our ongoing campaign #ComeTogether along with this new solution aims to create awareness on the issue of orgasm inequality, thereby encouraging couples to have a discussion on the issue. With Mutual Climax, we want to empower couples and make equal pleasure and sexual equality a reality in India.”

The film uses subtle metaphor to show the stages that men and women go through during the act of sex and how often the end can be a bit anticlimactic and then breaking the metaphor to show how powerfully pleasurable it can be when you #ComeTogether. The film highlights that the only way to reach at the level of mutual pleasure is to get there together.

Commenting on the creative strategy, Havas Group chairman and chief creative officer Bobby Pawar said, “Orgasm is still considered as a tabooed topic in Indian society, to come up with a film talking contextually and visually of orgasms was no easy task and needed to walk a fine line. We have conceptualised the film keeping in mind the sensitivity around the topic, by creating a film in a fun and engaging style by using indirect metaphor. The idea behind the film was to create awareness and to build conversation around the topic. The driving force behind the campaign is the philosophy that sex & pleasure are great when equal, fair & mutual.”
