    NEW DELHI: Mahaakshay Chakraborty, son of dancing star Mithun Chakraborty, says he is getting used to people wanting to compare him with his father. “People have tendency to compare things but now I am use to it. I am really okay with this. This doesn’t bother me. I don’t mind the opinions. It’s part of my life.”

     

    Popularly called Mimoh as he worked in the film Haunted, Mahaakshay is playing his first major role as a hero in the film Ishqedarriyaan directed by V K Prakash. He will be playing the role of Aagam Diwan, a millionaire who loves his profession more than anything else.

     

    He stars with Evelyn Sharma, who addressed the media along with singer Bilal Saeed and Asees Kaur and producer Rajesh Banga.

     

    The film is a story about love, sacrifice, family values and relationships. Mohit Dutta will be debuting with this movie. Jeet Ganguly, Jaidev Kumar and Bilal Saeed have given the music of the film.

     

    The model turned actress Evelyn Sharma has worked in many films like Issaq, Nautanki Saala, and Yaariyaan, but her bubbly yet sexy role in Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani as Laara grabbed attention. With this film she will be playing a lead role as Luvleen, a teacher by profession, who wants to collect donations.

     

    Talking about the film, she said, “More than me my mother is excited for the film. She always wanted to see me in an Indian avatar and with this movie her dream of watching me like this is going to come true.”

     

    Bilal Saeed too gave a treat to the audience by singing songs from the film, He said, “In Pakistan people are crazy for Indian singers and we always complain that we never get to play our own songs.”

     

    The film is releasing globally on 15 May.

    Beyonce‘s ‘Crazy In Love’ scorches up ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’

    MUMBAI: Soon to be released film, Fifty Shades of Grey, has charts souring with Beyonce‘s “Crazy In Love” song.

    The solo debut of the pop singer, more than a decade later, has been chopped up for a haunting remix for the film’s soundtrack.

    In the film which tells the story of obsessive romance, the song starts off with just a piano before Beyoncé enters with her sultry vocals.

    The soundtrack also features Michael Diamond’s remix of Beyoncé’s “Haunted” and Ellie Goulding’s Max Martin-produced power ballad “Love Me Like You Do.” It also includes music from Skylar Grey, Sia, the Weeknd, Jessie Ware and many more.

    First 3D stereoscopic film in Malayalam in offing

    MUMBAI: After the success of James Cameron’s Avataar, the pace of making 3D stereoscopic films has been growing across the world. In India too, the pace has picked up after audiences took a liking for Vikram Bhatt’s 3D stereoscopic film Haunted.


    Among many other filmmakers who have announced 3D films is a group of ten animation enthusiasts hailing from Kozhikode district who are busy making the first stereoscopic 3D animation film in Malayalam.


    The one-hour film titled Circus Kaduva, specially meant for children, is being produced under the banner of Carrot Creations. It also sheds light on the importance of protecting the environment.


    Said to be the first-of-its-kind venture in the state, the advantage of viewing the animation film is that it can be watched in the normal mini screens and computer monitors using the Red-blue stereoscopic glasses, according to director Razak Vazhiyoram.


    The film is being produced using the Maya 3D software. “It is a one-hour film and will generate lot of fun for the children,” Vazhiyoram said.


    The team is planning to market the film by releasing the home video along with the Red-Blue stereoscopic glasses that will be imported from China
