Posterscope partners Cheil India for Samsung’s Gear S2

MUMBAI: Samsung’s media agency Cheil along with Dentsu Aegis Network’s out of home agency Posterscope have successfully executed a high impact and high visibility innovation to celebrate the launch of Samsung Gear S2.

As part of the partnership, the key task for Posterscope was to highlight the core features of Samsung Gear S2 by disrupting the OOH landscape. The target audience was SEC A1, A2, A3 male within the 25-44 age bracket, people who are early adopters of technology, lead an active lifestyle and always ready to stay connected. Cheil India developed the concept and creative.

Posterscope Group India, Posterscope Asia Pacific regional director and MD Haresh Nayak said, “I am extremely honoured to be associated with this campaign. The world is currently standing in the midst of massive technological advancements and our consumers in India are not just aware but also exposed to these evolutions while sitting at home. Therefore, the campaign that we executed had to be such that it could stand up to a world-class quality. And I am glad that we have stood tall and delivered so well.”

While the objective entailed the highlighting of the dynamic features of the watch, it could not be met a vanilla 2D approach towards OOH. Thus, Posterscope recommended the use of LEDs to create an innovative display that would do justice to the objective and serve the required impact.

Adding a layer of efficacy to this innovative campaign was a well thought-out media plan that was designed by Posterscope. Based on their deep understanding of the target consumer, which was derived from their primary research (OCS), patented analytical tools (PRISM) and accumulated understanding, Posterscope zeroed down on specific locations in Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi NCR to conduct the project. Trade points were the focus in Mumbai while it were the IT parks in Bangalore. Innovation was done at DND toll road, which is a major entry point in the city from Noida.

MUMBAI: Posterscope will be participating in Project Everyone – the brainchild of filmmaker and Comic Relief founder Richard Curtis, with an aim to share the UN sustainable development goals with seven billion people over seven days using powerful imagery and copy across an extensive range of platforms.

Project Everyone founder Richard Curtis said, “The best chance of the UN’s global goals being met is if everyone is aware of them, and that’s where Project Everyone comes in, along with the support of its many partners. I have been overwhelmed by the response of brands, consumers and institutions alike to this initiative. Posterscope has been instrumental with getting out of home media owners on board to help us get our messages across, to really raise public awareness of the issue at hand. Posterscope is joining forces with their media partners across the globe to supply advertising space to display the adverts, which have been designed by Curtis and raise awareness of the initiative.

They have engaged with 125 partners to date for the ad to be shown in 450 cities, around 28 different countries, in busy central locations with high footfall including CST station in India, Piccadilly Circus in London, Swanston Street in Melbourne, Bukit Bintang in Kuala Lumpur and Times Square in New York.

  • Posterscope launches measurement tool Ambit Analyser

Posterscope launches measurement tool Ambit Analyser

MUMBAI: In a bid to attract well-thought-through investments into the growing out-of-home (OOH) category of ambient media, Ambient OOH has designed and launched a new path breaking research tool to drive away advertisers’ woes. Ambient OOH, the ambient media agency under Dentsu Aegis Network’s Posterscope umbrella, has invested a substantial amount towards the crafting and development of this new research matrix.

Ambient media is all about capturing captive audiences who spend considerable amount of their leisure time at various active locations such as gyms, coffee shops, multiplexes, clubs, salons and shopping malls. Therefore, in a bid to develop the new tool, Ambient OOH took the help of Dentsu Aegis Network’s proprietary research study – the Outdoor Consumer Survey (OCS) that aided in analysing the target audience touch-points.

Ambit Analyser will help craft a rationalised multi touch-point plan across more than 24 dwell time locations that house captive audiences. Also, given Ambit Analyser’s system design, the plans can be fashioned within much lesser time and with more accuracy.

As part of the development process of Ambit Analyser, Ambient OOH graded each property across the various touch points on multiple factors including footfalls, trade density, ticket pricing and thus, arrived at a visibility index. The tool has been linked to the OCS, which has a sample size of 12,000+ respondents. It has also incorporated the data for 24 touch-points across metros, mini metros and tier II cities.

Dentsu Aegis Network chairman & CEO South Asia, Posterscope and psLive – Asia Pacific chairman Ashish Bhasin said, “Posterscope’s Ambient OOH has done pioneering work in developing Ambient Analyser. Ambient media is becoming extremely important and has very little research and tools available. So, in keeping with Dentsu Aegis Network’s leadership status in OOH, we felt that the time was right to make this large investment in a proprietary tool, the only one of its kind in India.”

Posterscope Asia Pacific regional director and Posterscope Group managing director Haresh Nayak added, “Ambient OOH is the future and, with the growth of digital and technology in this space, it will lead to accountable and engaging communication with the consumer in a relaxed mind frame. Ambit Analyser is one such initiative to give our clients a first of its kind, accountable and impactful campaign, leading to physical and digital engagement.”

Ambient OOH vice president Deepak Kumar said, “Currently, ambient media in India is extremely fragmented and diverse in nature. And with no comparative data to fall back on, each media owner claims to be the best. Simultaneously, advertisers are constantly pressing on media effectiveness and efficient ROI. Hence, there was a need for transparency and accountability for advertisers to have trust on the ambient media touch-points.”
