    MNX launches Super League chatbot

    MUMBAI: No one can ignore India’s crazy love for cricket, including English movie channels. MNX, the new age Hollywood channel for young India launched the very innovative MNX Super League chatbot, an interactive avatar of its TV show ‘MNX Super League’ on Facebook.

     The chatbot has already got 2.5 lakh interactions and an average of 10 minutes time spent per user. This artificial intelligence-based gamified chat bot brings back nostalgia associated with book cricket. It adds to the layers of excitement by bringing witty characters like NavBot Singh Chatstri and some hard-hitting sledging, in addition to fun interactive games for which viewers can win exciting goodies and merchandise live.

    The channel claims that the MNX Super League property on television has already seen a 24 per cent increase in GVTs, indicating an overall positive impact.

    Conceptualised along with Carpe Diem Social Media Solutions, this first of its kind chatbot is unique in terms of its idea and execution. MNX Super League airs weeknights at 11 pm.

    MUMBAI: There is no looking back, believes Life OK general manager Ajit Thakur. In the week 26 of TAM TV ratings, the channel has hit a jackpot again. It overtook Colors and secured the third position by registering 358,113 GVTs, up from last week’s 332,990 GVTs.

     

    So what worked for Life OK, this time? It is its fictional properties which saw a rise in the ratings. Thus, Gustakh Dil noted 2,184 TVTs, up from 1,829 TVTs, Adventures of Hatim recorded 2,116 TVTs, up from 1,825 TVTs. Savdhaan India registered 2,595 TVTs, up from 2,264 TVTs.

     

    On the other hand, Colors at number four scored 351,407 GVTs, down from 351,470 GVTs. It has been a roller coaster ride for the channel’s fiction properties. Thus, Meri Ashiqui marked at 2,867 TVTs, up from 2,655 TVTs, Balika Vadhu gathered 4,379 TVTs, down from 4,473 TVTs and Rangrasiya noted 2,299 TVTs, up from 2,124 TVTs. Talking about the channel’s non-fiction properties, Comedy Nights with Kapil turns out to be a winner as it saw a slight rise in the viewership and scored 5,942 TVTs, up from 5,853 TVTs while Jhalak Dikhlaja witnessed a drop and noted 3,698 TVTs, down from 4,135 TVTs.

     

    Despite a fall, Star Plus continues to be the chart leader as it scored 659,904 GVTs, down from 660,737 GVTs. Diya Aur Baati Hum continued to be the audience’s favourite show with 9,178 TVTs, up from 8,953 TVTs. The channel’s mythological series Mahabharat also observed a huge hike in the viewership as it scored 6,686 TVTs, up from 6,367 TVTs and Ye Hai Mohababtein garnered 6,007 TVTs, up from 5,712 TVTs.

     

    Zee TV continues to hold on to its number two ranking with 423,066 GVTs, up from 400,337 GVTs. The channel’s chart topper Jodha Akbar seems to lose its eyeballs as it scored 7,254 TVTs, down from 7,664 TVTs. Meanwhile, Kumkum Bhagya scored 5,436 TVTs, up from 4,942 TVTs and Qubool Hai stood at 4,804 TVTs, up from 4,402 TVTs.

     

    Sony Entertainment Television (SET) at number five recorded 348,733 GVTs, up from 297,528 GVTs. Maharana Veer Pratap witnessed a gain and scored 3,700 TVTs, up from 3,341 TVTs and Ek Nai Pehchan registered 1,408 TVTs, up from 1,336 TVTs.

     

    Sab at number six garnered 279,874 GVTs, up from 279,412 GVTs. The channel’s chart topper Tarak Mehta scored 6,895 TVTs, down from 7,034 TVTs. Its latest offering Badi Door se Aaye Hai noted 2,634 TVTs, down from 2,659 TVTs.

    KOLKATA: Odisha’s general entertainment channel (GEC) Sarthak TV has maintained its number one position in the week 25 of TAM TV Ratings. The channel has garnered 9,437 GVTs.

     

    Other GECs like Tarang TV has reported 6,694 GVTs, while OTV and MBCTV have recorded 5,021 GVTs and 3,225 GVTs respectively.

     

     That apart Prarthana has garnered 2,505 GVTs, ETV Oriya bagged 2,492 GVTs, Tarang Music recorded 1,232 GVTs, Z Kalinga managed 660 GVTs and Kanak TV got 287 GVTs.

    MUMBAI: It indeed calls for celebration for the two-year old channel, Life OK that has proved its might in the general entertainment (GEC) space. In the week 22 of TAM TV ratings, the channel has pushed Colors and has bagged the third spot with 365 million GVTs, up from 333 million GVTs, recorded last week. 

     

    Colors ranks four with 347 million GVTs, down from 360 million GVTs. All the other GECs have maintained stability in their positions.

     

    Thus, Star Plus continues to lead the chart with 655 million GVTs, down from 699 million GVTs. Zee TV stands at second position with 400 million GVTs, up from 387 million GVTs, last week.

     

    Sony witnessed a huge hike in its viewership and reported 340 million GVTs, up from 313 million GVTs. Sab remains at number six with 256 million GVTs, down from 267 million GVTs.

    KOLKATA: In week 20 of TAM TV ratings (11-17 May) when news channels across the nation were busy reporting and analysing election results, ABP Ananda gained highest in terms of gross viewership as compared to other Bengali news channels. The Kolkata-headquartered channel garnered 7,455 GVTs followed by 24 Ghanta with 5,117 GVTs. The GRP of ABP Ananda and 24 Ghanta stood at 185 and 127, respectively.

    About ABP Ananda, a city-based media expert said, “The distribution of the channel is quite strong. Also, it could lead others as it organised very catchy programmes during the election. It covered West Bengal elections as a local channel and yet, beautifully and proficiently covers national politics too.”

    It is learnt that 24 Ghanta and ABP Ananda are the most watched channels. Swaraj Mukherjee, a city-based media expert said, “Any channel which is pro-government does not enjoy popular support as people believe that correct news comes from those critical of the establishment or at the very least neutral and the others that are pro-government are not much trusted by viewers.”

    According to Pulakesh Ghosh, a senior media analyst, “ABP Ananda maintained its leadership position. 24 Ghanta, another sought-after channel does not know any colour while presenting hard news full of facts and figures. Credibility of 24 Ghanta is the highest. News and views provided by the channel are never mixed up. ABP Ananda places more focus on panel discussion.”

    Speaking of individual news programs on ABP Ananda, ABP Ananda Khabar got a TVT of 117 while ABP Ananda Program got a TVT of 20. Casebook got a TVT of 7. Ek Dozen Galpo got TVT 147and Jukti Takko garnered  74 TVTs. Kaar Dekhale Dilli received 74 TVTs and Kaar Dokhole Delhi Rajer Ray managed 9 TVTs. Modir Dakhale Dilli got 90 TVTs, while Mukhomukhi Maharathi (cartoon) got 42 TVTs. Nojore 9 TA garnered 103 TVTs and Runner got 64 TVTs.  Finally Xtra Time received 8 TVTs.

    24 Ghanta’s news programs 10 Tar Khaass Khabar, 24 Ghanta News and 24 Ghanta News Program got 57, 24 and 0 TVTs, respectively. Aapnar Rai received 67 TVTs. Banglar 24 Ghanta got 121 TVTs and Bojho Thyala garnered 222 TVTs. That apart, Desher Ray managed 79 TVTs, Ek Jhalake got 375 TVTs. Lastly, Neel Aakasher Niche and Page 1 got 9 and 110 TVTs respectively.   

    After ABP Ananda and 24 Ghanta, Focus Bangla, till recently NE Bangla, pipped Kolkata TV with a GVT of 1,866 and GRP of 46.

    Kolkata TV, which was doing well a few weeks ago, garnered a GVT of 309 and GRP of 8.

    All TAM findings take into account CS4+ for all the days in the state.

    MUMBAI: In week 20 of TAM TV ratings, it was a neck-to-neck fight between Colors and Life OK. Life OK which is the gainer this week continues to remain at number four. Interestingly, it has moved close to Colors and scored 354 million GVTs, up from 348 million GVTs.

     

    Sony Entertainment Television was also the highest gainer this week registered 313 million GVTs, up from 286 million GVTs, but continued to be at number five. Rest all GECs have seen a drop in the viewership.

     

    Thus, Star Plus reported 681 million GVTs, down from 733 million GVTs. Zee TV stood at number two position with an inch drop and garnered 394 million GVTs, down from 395 million GVTs.

     

    Colors occupied the number three position and scored 367 million GVTs, down from 376 million GVTs. For Sab, which remains at number six, score was 258 million GVTs, down from 268 million GVTs.

    MUMBAI: Week 18 of TAM TV ratings was a dull period for the major general entertainment channels (GECs). Zee TV and Colors were the two channels that suffered the most, this week.

     

    Despite shedding numbers, Zee TV continues to stand at number two with 409,010 GVTs, down from 444,500 GVTs. Its new entrant in the comedy space Gangs of Haseepur lost numbers in the second consecutive week and registered 1,916 TVTs, a major fall from 2,727 TVTs. The channel’s historical series Jodha Akbar also saw a drop in its viewership and registered 9,139 TVTs, down from 9,834 TVTs. Its other fictional offerings like Do Dil Bandhe… saw a major rise and noted 5,179 TVTs, up from 4,941 TVTs.

     

    Colors occupied the third place with 396,193 GVTs, down from 423,262 GVTs. All its popular fictional offerings have witnessed a fall in the ratings. Thus, Madhubala recorded 2,925 TVTs, down from 3,106 TVTs; Balika Vadhu saw a slight fall and noted 4,440 TVTs, down from 4,545 TVTs and Uttaran garnered 3,254 TVTs, down from 3,485 TVTs. On the other hand, the channel’s reality shows have created a boom. Comedy Nights with Kapil reported 7,198 TVTs, up from 6,992 TVTs, Khatron Ke Khiladi five scored 6,570 TVTs, up from 5,752 TVTs.

     

    Star Plus, even after shedding numbers stands strong at number one. Its chart topper Diya Aur Baati Hum scored 12,233 TVTs, down from 13,301 TVTs. Saathiya Saath is the second highest rated show for the channel which saw a drop and rated 8,885 TVTs, down from 9,503 TVTs. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has seen a new rise every week. This week it scored 7,573 TVTs, up from 7,490 TVTs.

     

    Life OK stays happy at number four with 360,213 GVTs, up from 349,580 GVTs. The channel’s most popular series Shapath recorded 2,852 TVTs, a slight rise from 2,546 TVTs. Savdhan India noted 2,480 TVTs, up from 2,153 TVTs. Its reality show Welcome Bazi showcased a slight rise and generated 1,473 TVTs, up from 1,322 TVTs.

     

    Sony Entertainment Television maintained its stability at number five and registered 290,948 GVTs, down from 297,073 GVTs. Jee Le Zara reported 1,297 TVTs, down from 1,305 TVTs, Maharana Pratap garnered 2,858 TVTs, a slight high from 2,828 TVTs. Its crime property Crime Patrol garnered 2,680 TVTs, up from 2,624 TVTs.

     

    Last but not the least, Sab which stands at number six scored 267,113 GVTs, up from 260,127 GVTs. Its chart topper Taarak Mehta noted 5,880 TVTs, down from 6,098 TVTs. The channel’s game show – Sab Khelo sab Jeeto saw a rise in the viewership and stood at 1,582 TVTs, up from 1,456 TVTs.

     

    In the movie genre: Zee Cinema reported 18,8125 GVTs, down from 203,672 GVTs; Movies OK scored 143,794 GVTs, up from 123,291 GVTs; &pictures garnered 82,537 GVTs, up from 85,904 GVTs; Zee Anmol earned 74,074 GVTs, up from 71,400 GVTs and Max registered a fall, as it recorded 457,415 GVTs, down from 495,922 GVTs.

    MUMBAI: In week three of TAM TV ratings, Zee TV retained the number two position. It seems that magic of Jai Ho superstar Salman Khan has worked wonders for the channel as its popular dance reality show – Dance India Dance 4 notched up to garner 6,838 TVTs (4,618) taking the channel’s tally to 470,680 GVTs (488,194).

     

    Star Plus continues to lead the chart even after registering a slight drop. The channel registered 625,772 GVTs (629,447). Colors maintained its last week’s third position and fetched 466,690 GVTs (456,890). Life OK dislodged Sab from the fourth position pushing it to fifth slot. While Life OK garnered 347,326 GVTs (337,771), Sab recorded 318,311 GVTs (338,233). Sony’s viewership declined yet again as it fetched just 257,635 GVTs (263,081). Sahara One continues to be at the bottom of the chart with 35,959 GVTs (37,863).

     

    Coming back to the chart topper Star Plus, its dance reality show Nach Baliye 6 saw a dip and recorded at 4,449 TVTs (5,350). The epic series Mahabharat also saw a drop in its viewership and garnered 7,538 TVTs (7,794).

     

    While Zee TV continued to be at the second position, most of its properties witnessed a decline in viewership. Aur Pyar Ho Haya scored 3,637 TVTs (4,044), the sitcom Bh Se Bhade scored 1,931 TVTs (2,160), while the dance reality series Dance India Dance 4 scored 3,878 TVTs (4,249) on Sunday. However, the channel aired the Hindi feature film Ramaiya Vastavaiya on 12 January, Saturday that grabbed good eyeballs and garnered 4,011 TVTs.

     

    Colors’ newly launched talent reality show – the fifth edition of India’s Got Talent hasn’t really clicked well. In the second week of its telecast, the show lost viewers and scored 7,857 TVTs (9,380) on Saturday and Sunday. The other two fictional shows that replaced Bigg Boss witnessed a rise in the numbers, while Rangrasiya garnered 2,686 TVTs (2,564), Beintehaa reported 2,767 TVTs (2,633). However, comedy worked for the channel. Comedy Nights With Kapil that had Salman Khan as the special guest promoting his upcoming film Jai Ho scored 11,016 TVTs (10,420).

     

    Sony, which occupies the sixth position, has seen a slight rise in all its fiction properties. Main Na Bhoolungi and Ekk Nayi Pehchaan scored 1,095 TVTs (1,054) and 2,094 TVTs (2,087) respectively. However, the dance reality show Boogie Woogie Kids Championship saw a drop in its sixth week and garnered 2,381 TVTs (2,733).

     

    In the movie channel genre, Zee Cinema reported 198,135 GVTs (196,560); Star Gold registered 216,328 GVTs (182,903) and Movies OK scored 138,124 (137,410). While &pictures scored 93,317 GVTs (84,280), Zee Anmol earned 74,522 GVTs (86,317) and Max scored 203,203 GVTs (202,083).

    MUMBAI: We are almost nearing the year end and interestingly there hasn’t been much change in the TAM TV ratings through the year. However, the Week 51 has been a good week overall for the general entertainment channels (GECs) as almost all the channels have witnessed a growth in its viewership.

    As per the TVT data sourced from the channel for week 51, Star Plus remains at the first position with 599,179 GVTs (579,369). The new show on the channel Yeh Hai Mohabbatein maintains stable position with 2,836 TVTs (2,821). However, its celebrity dance reality show Nach Baliye 6 saw a drop with 3,766 TVTs (3,918). The epic series Mahabharat continues to grab eyeballs and reported 7,662 TVTs (7,412).

    Colors too maintained its second position with 488,005 GVTs (448,658). The channel has witnessed a hike in almost all its properties. While Bigg Boss seven reported 5,989 TVTs (5,706), 24 scored 3,493 TVTs (2,862) and Comedy Nights with Kapil garnered 8,818 TVTs (7,425).

    At the third position, Zee TV saw a fall in its viewership and marked 408,807 GVTs (439,271). The channel’s sitcom Bh se Bhade witnessed a drop in its viewership and reported 1,459 TVTs (2,021). Its popular dance reality show Dance India Dance 4 lost on its viewership on Saturday and scored 4,061 TVTs (6,304) and remained almost stable at 3,870 TVTs (3,821) on Sunday.

    Life OK stood at number four with 325,759 GVTs (312,956) followed by Sab with 308,658 GVTs (291,060). Sony witnessed a drop in the number of GVTs and scored 254,912 GVTs (266,525). Its non-fiction property, Boogie Woogie Kids Championship saw a drop in its second week and marked at 3,232 TVTs (3,612).

    Sahara One is still lagging behind and is at the bottom of the ratings list with 36,673 GVTs (36,001).

    In the movie channel genre, Zee Cinema reported 222,208 GVTs (208,530); Star Gold registered 163,219 GVTs (167,279) and Movies OK scored 125,734 GVTs (123,361). On the other hand, &pictures notched up and scored 79,261 GVTs (70,567), Zee Anmol marked 64,638 GVTs (65,618) and Max scored 214,123 GVTs (172,165).

    MUMBAI: In the week 49 of TAM TV ratings, Zee TV has become the gainer for the second time consecutively. While last week, the channel just earned more points, this time it has escalated to the second position from the usual third as well. With the telecast of Zee Rishtey Awards on Sunday, the channel garnered 479,878 GVTs (448,553) of which 8599 TVTs were scored solely by the award show. The channel’s sitcom Bh se Bhade witnessed good traction and reported 2,346 TVTs (2,079). Its popular dance reality show Dance India Dance 4 aired its two-hour maha episode which scored 4,565 TVTs (4,392).

    Another highlight of the week was Boogie Woogie Kids Championship that made a comeback to the TV screens and even to Sony Entertainment Channel after a gap of almost four years. Interestingly, the show which has always attracted audience, did quite well again and scored 4,411 TVTs. While the channel witnessed a rise in the number of GVTs, the show couldn’t change the sixth spot at which it has been on since quite some time. It scored 241,395 GVTs (238,987).

    Second highest gainer of the week was Star Plus which scored 561,197 GVTs (548,331) and continued to be at number one in the ratings chart. The channel’s new series Yeh Hai Mohabbatein grabbed eyeballs and garnered 2,320 TVTs. However, its dance reality show Nach Baliye 6 saw a drop with 3,945 TVTs (4,267). The epic series Mahabharat too lost on its viewership and could just garner 6,689 TVTs (7,170).

    Colors came down to number three this week with 456,302 GVTs (478,534). Unfortunately, the channel has witnessed a drop in almost all its properties. Comedy Night with Kapil reported 7,522 TVTs (7,851), action thriller series 24 scored 2,523 TVTs (2,797). However, Bigg Boss witnessed a marginal increase and scored 5,262 TVTs (5,102).

    Life OK stood at number four with 325,066 GVTs (334,327) followed by Sab with 260,862 GVTs (269,269).

    Sahara One is still lagging behind and is at the bottom of the ratings list with 34,881 GVTs (33,691).

    In the movie channel genre, Zee Cinema reported 211,162 GVTs (253,575); Star Gold registered 180,019 GVTs (181,167) and Movies OK scored 132,377 GVTs (133,805). On the other hand, &pictures notched up and scored 85,302 GVTs (81,291), Zee Anmol saw a growth in its viewership and marked 62,874 GVTs (55,524) and Max scored 141,652 GVTs (129,948).
