    Fox renews season 13 of cooking competition series ‘Masterchef’’

    Mumbai: US broadcaster Fox has renewed its cooking competition series Masterchef for a 13th season. The judges are chef and executive producer Gordon Ramsay, chef Aarón Sánchez and restaurateur Joe Bastianich.

    According to the broadcaster, the show has 4.7 million multi-platform viewers on average, a +108 percent increase from the same day on Live+. The show, expanding to two hours on 17 August 2022, has led Fox to two consecutive Wednesday night wins among adults 18-49.

    Produced by Endemol Shine North America and One Potato Two Potato, the format of the series was created by Franc Roddam. Ramsay, Elisabeth Murdoch, Danny Schrader, Pat Llewellyn, Ben Adler, Sharon Levy, and DJ Nurre serve as executive producers of Masterchef.

    MUMBAI: Barbie’s message of You Can Be Anything is going to spread far and wide, reaching out to moms and kids, with Barbie’s latest association as the presenting sponsor for popular TV series – MasterChef U.S. Junior season 5 that will air every Sunday at 9pm on Star World and Star World HD.

    MUMBAI: Star World and Star World HD will start airing the fifth season of MasterChef U.S. Junior starting 26 March at the prime time 9pm slot. The fifth season of the show, to be aired every Sunday, premiered in the US on 9 February this year with chefs — Gordon Ramsay and Christina Tosi acting as the series’ judges, along with various guest judges.

    MasterChef U.S. is based on the format of the U.K. series Junior MasterChef in which nine-to twelve-year-olds compete. MasterChef USA aims at selecting young kids between ages of 8 and 13 and honing their culinary aptitude. The contestants will have a platform to showcase their talent and create stunning dishes far beyond their age to win the coveted title of Junior MasterChef and the grand prize of $100,000.

    A Star India release stated that, this summer, it’s time for kids in India to hone some cooking skills by drawing inspiration from the junior chefs on MasterChef U.S. Junior Season 5.

    MUMBAI: Lifestyle channel TLC HD World is all geared up to present a new series Hotel Hell every Monday at 10 pm. The series features Gordon Ramsay travelling across America in search of horrid hotels and work towards turning them around.

     

    Viewers will see Ramsay sleep on stained mattresses, take cold showers in musty bathrooms and confront hotel ghosts. The series will see him fixing these horrible hotels, awful inns and bed and breakfasts and revamped into beautiful, clean and lively places to stay, to meet a traveller’s expectations.

     

    Ramsay in his own inimitable style will go head-to-head with the owners and staff, raising tension to the maximum capacity. He will take his hospitality reviews to a new benchmark and showcase unexpected results. Gordon will help the hotels to survive in the cut-throat hospitality industry, turning these struggling establishments upside down, from the bar staff to the bedrooms, the receptionists to the room service.

     

    Each episode of the series will showcase Ramsay addressing the problems of upkeep and services to ensure that each guest’s expectations are met. He will endure the hotels at their worst to provide the guests a wonderful experience. While some owners will happily work with Ramsay to improve their hotels, others will retaliate and face the consequences.

    MUMBAI: TLC is all set to premiere the new season of Hell’s Kitchen as Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay cooks up a storm in the kitchen with 20 aspiring chefs.

     

    The new season will go on air from 17 April and will be telecast every Friday at 9 pm.

     

    A new crop of aspiring cooks will show off their skills in a bid to win the life-changing prize to become head chef at a prestigious restaurant. This summer the heated competition will see 20 chefs taking on each other and Chef Gordon Ramsay in the fight for the top prize.

     

    Ramsay will bring his flair for exciting cuisine back to the kitchen as he puts the contestants through intense challenges each week as they face elimination if they are not up to the mark. The contestants who demonstrate the right skills and attitude will progress further as Chef Ramsay tests each one of them. Every week, Chef Ramsay puts the contestants through grueling tasks and dinner services to decide who comes out on top, and who will go home.

     

    In the new season of Hell’s Kitchen, the aspiring chefs are divided into two teams – the Red team (women) and the Blue team (men). Each team must immediately learn to brave Ramsay and his exacting standards in the kitchen. Once divided, the competition quickly heats up for the aspiring chefs, as each one works to simmer, sear and spice up his or her dish to Chef Ramsay and pray he doesn’t spit them out. 

     

    As the day passes, contestants are faced with challenges in the kitchen as they fight for a chance to be the winner of the contest. The contestants have to battle against each other, against their own weakness and mostly get through the acid-tongued Chef Gordon Ramsay.

    TLC to showcase ‘Gordon’s Great Escape’

    MUMBAI: TLC presents the culinary discovery of India by one of the world’s most renowned chefs, Gordon Ramsay in the new series ‘Gordon’s Great Escape.’

     

    The series will showcase Gordon travelling in search of Indian flavours, discovering authentic food from the most jaw-dropping locations across the country. Gordon will explore the diversity of Indian food, starting his journey in the capital, Delhi and moving on to exciting locations including Kolkata, Kerala, Northeast India and ending his journey in bustling Mumbai.

     

    ‘Gordon’s Great Escape’ will premiere on 31 January and will air every Saturday at       10 PM on TLC.

     

    As Gordon samples a variety of Indian delicacies, he will immerse himself in local traditions and activities such as bullock racing in Kerala, hunting deer in Nagaland and assisting a master chef in Lucknow to help prepare a wedding feast.

    Northern India

    Gordon will travel around Northern India to look for more authentic versions of the popular Indian dishes he grew up with, and at the end, will have to prove he’s learned how to cook some authentic Indian food in front of food experts in New Delhi.

     

    Kolkata

    Gordon demonstrates his curiosity about Indian cuisines that aren’t normally represented in UK restaurants, so he will travel to remote Northeast India to search them out, and will open a food cart in Calcutta for a day to prove he’s learned something.

     

    Southern India

    Gordon will travel to Southern India to learn more about vegetarian cooking and Indian fish dishes. He will cook Sambar with a street chef and put on a fancy dinner for the upper crust of Mumbai.

Host Gordon Ramsay’s name is synonymous with outstanding fine dining, apart from being known as the most the foulest-mouthed chef in Britain.

    With Hell’s Kitchen, Discovery Travel & Living brings an entertaining reality series like no other. Watch the Michelin starred chef who gives new meaning to the word rude and gives a whole new dictionary of new and original insults for all who appear on the show. The series will air from 15 – 19 May at 9 pm.

    Footballer turned chef Ramsay’s legendary temper precedes him and has made him a favourite with viewers abroad.

    The participants have varying culinary experience but they all have a passion for food and the ambition to open their own restaurant in common. In the process of achieving perfection, Gordon unleashes on his subjects the utmost degree of battering and pressure.

    One has to be as determined and ready to risk their sanity before subjecting themselves to even attempt to cook with Ramsay breathing down their neck. Gordon Ramsay’s serves up helpings of terror, tears, tantrums and triumphs as cameras follow the competing chefs to reveal who will survive the heat of Hell’s Kitchen.

    Examples of Gordon’s wrath that makes the programme unique, captivating and entertaining, including rewards & appalling punishments:

    >Ramsay passed the two teams to his maitre d’ for a lesson in how to properly set a dining table. The teams then had to replicate a sample table containing over 90 items within a five minute time period. The winning team received an afternoon of spa treatments, while the losing team had to clean and polish all the glass and silverware and set all 100 tables in the restaurant.

    >Ramsay gave the contestants 15-minutes to create an original dish out of a tray of 15 different leftovers from the previous evening’s service.

    Ramsay became an OBE for services to the hospitality industry in Her Majesty’s New Year’s honours list for 2006. The remaining five episodes of Hell’s Kitchen will air every Monday, from 22 May till 19 June at 10 pm.
