    MUMBAI: Independent content distributor GoQuest Media Ventures (GQMV) today announced a strategic investment in Digibooster, South Asia’s largest short form video content platform.

    The strategic seed investment funding round sees Digibooster raise an undisclosed sum from GoQuest Media Ventures (GQMV). 

    Digibooster is a content market platform for media and entertainment professionals looking to buy or sell video content.  The company showcases the best of all forms of video content including films, animations and TV and web series to buyers across the world creating conversations and opportunities for sales, branding and distribution through its rich library of content.  Digibooster is focusing on becoming the go-to place for anyone looking to buy short format content including content websites, brands, Facebook pages, YouTube aggregators and even individual influencers looking to build deeper engagement and traffic on their websites and pages.

    The investment from GQMV will allow the Digibooster team to grow the business by utilizing GQMV’s network of clients, industry connections and employees.  It will also expand its leadership and business development to accelerate growth and use the funds to build the team and technology to reach out to global clients. 

    GQMV’s equity investment is part of the company’s strategy to embrace new ideas and technologies and to highlight the company’s ongoing commitment to be the largest marketplace for worldwide content.

    Goquest Media Ventures picks up drama content from China, Thailand, Taiwan

    MUMBAI:  Independent content distributor GoQuest Media Ventures announced a raft of new acquisitions from China, Thailand and Taiwan. 

    Collaborating with leading Chinese streaming platform iQiyi, GoQuest Media has secured the rights for Vietnam to the epic drama series Tang Dynasty Tour (36 x 45’).  The costume drama, an iQiyi Original directed by Zhu Dong-Ning and produced by Gordon Chan revolves around Yun Ye, who one night falls asleep and wakes amid the opulent brickwork of an ancient Tang Dynasty palace.  Yun soon meets the troubled Li Anlan, a Tang princess disowned for being born out of wedlock.  Spurred to life by survival and his desire to stay at Li’s side, he embarks on a series of adventures ranging from hysterical to heart-wrenching.

    Entering the Asian drama space, GoQuest Media is also pleased to announce the acquisition of content through its Vietnam office, headed by Harshad Wadadekar, general manager – distribution business.  These include the rights for Vietnam to series such as Blind Date which is the Chinese remake of Dori Media’s hit romantic scripted comedy Ciega A Citas, An Oriental Odyssey, The Lost Swordship, Mr Swimmer, Legend of S. Fire Walker from Media Culture Ltd, Hongkong, The Masked Lover, Behind Your Smile, Swimming Battle, Home Sweet Home, Between from nationwide cable TV network Sanlih E-Television, Taiwan and A Billion Love Game, and Chaoweha from Thailand’s True4U.

    MUMBAI: The month of April will see a popular Ugandan channel being thronged by its viewers as GoQuest Media, an India based television content sales agency, has licensed Ezel – a Turkish crime drama series to a popular channel in Uganda.

     

    GoQuest Media Ventures, licenses TV series and Bollywood films to territories across the world. With the Ezel deal, the company claims to have broken the shackles of regional boundaries and are determined to expand the variety of their content offerings to clients all over the world. 

     

    Turkish dramas have proven popularity across the world. We have sold more than 1000 hours of Indian content in Africa. We now hope to do the same with content from other countries,” said GoQuest Media managing director Vivek Lath.

     

    The show is based on Alexander Dumas’ masterpiece Count of Monte Cristo. After betrayal by his best friends and the love of his life, Omer returns with a new face, new identity and with a flawless revenge plan. GoQuest Media has licensed Ezel from the global drama and formats distributor, Eccho rights.

     

    Eccho Rights managing director Fredrik Af Malmborg added, “Ezel is an amazing TV series that has been a success in every territory it has launched so far, most recently in South America where the daily ratings is above 25 per cent. We are excited about the development in Africa and are confident it will work also in Uganda.”
