    Gozoop Group elevates Ahmed Aftab Naqvi to global CEO

    Mumbai: Global marketing company Gozoop on Tuesday announced the elevation of co-founder Ahmed Aftab Naqvi as the group’s global CEO, from his current role as CEO of India. 

    In his new role, Ahmed will now lead operations in the Middle East region while overseeing the India business. He will continue to diversify Gozoop’s service offerings, enable strategic acquisitions and identify new markets to further the group’s international expansion, said the company in a statement.

    This announcement comes at a time when Gozoop is on track to consolidate its standing as one of India’s largest independent homegrown global advertising groups. “We are in the midst of a very exciting phase and Ahmed’s understanding of the global advertising and marketing landscape is remarkable, making him a perfect fit to lead our next wave of growth,” stated Gozoop Middle East co-founder and managing director Dushyant Bhatia. “Gozoop Middle East has been significant for the group’s success outside India and will play a critical role going forward. With Gozoop Middle East now under Ahmed’s aegis, we are confident of accelerating growth by diversifying our existing offerings in the region and beyond.”

    Under Ahmed’s leadership, Gozoop has won mandates and come up with award-winning work for prestigious brands such as Dell, Taj Hotels, Bisleri, Tata Steel, Saint Gobain, Asian Paints, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mahindra, GNC, Finolex and Viacom18 among others, said the statement.

    Sundar Raman elevated to global CEO of P&G’s fabric and home care division

    Mumbai: Procter & Gamble (P&G) has announced the appointment of Sundar Raman as global CEO of the company’s fabric and home care division which includes P&G brands like Ariel, Tide, Ambipur and Downy. He steps into the role subsequent to Shailesh Jejurikar’s elevation to chief operating officer.

     

    Raman began his career as a market analyst in India in 1998 straight from campus and soon moved to the US where he worked in a variety of roles from business intelligence to marketing in P&G Beauty. A visionary leader with broad expertise and a passion for innovation, he was involved in the launch of new products such as Tide Pods and Downy Unstoppables, said the company in a statement. He also leads equality inclusion for Fabric Home Care reflecting his passion for diversity, inclusion, and the company’s citizenship agenda.

     

    He has earned his degree in electrical and electronics engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (1996), and a post-graduate diploma from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (1998).

    India has been a talent factory for P&G worldwide and one of the largest exporters of top talent to P&G globally, shared the company. The company has approximately 350 Indian expats in roles across the company with the recent being Shailesh Jejurikar becoming the first Indian to be elevated to COO of the company.

    Maxus promotes Lindsay Pattison, replaces Vikram Sakhuja

    MUMBAI: In a major development, GroupM has announced the appointment of Lindsay Pattison as global CEO of Maxus.

     

    The announcement was made by GroupM’s global president, Dominic Proctor, who Pattison will report to as she co-locates between London and New York.

    Pattison has been leading Maxus in the UK for five years.  She has also held the global chief strategy officer role for the last two years, overseeing product, planning, marketing, new business and effectiveness.  

    Pattison replaces Vikram Sakhuja, who will remain in the group.

    “Lindsay has a proven reputation as a leader and is held with enormous regard both internally and by her clients”, said Proctor. “She exemplifies the spirit and ambition of the Maxus culture and we are confident she will take the network into the next stage of growth.”

     

    On the move, Pattison said, “I am thrilled to step up into this role. I love the energy of Maxus and I relish opportunity that comes from our unique and fortunate position as the challenger brand within GroupM. At Maxus, we have a mantra to lean into change.     She will be replaced in the UK chief executive role by Nick Baughan, who moves from the position of managing director. Baughan will continue to report to Pattison.

     

    Baughan joined Maxus in March 2012, having worked at Mindshare for two years as the head of business development. Baughan said, “Over the last five years, Lindsay has led our team brilliantly in the creation of an agency that has become a major force in the industry.  I’m hugely proud to have been part of that success and even prouder to have the opportunity to lead our incredible team into the next chapter.”
