    Sparx’s ‘It’s In Me’ campaign raises the adrenaline high with focus on today’s youth

    Mumbai: The All New TVC is a part of the celebrated ‘Its In Me’ campaign by the popular footwear brand featuring Bollywood maestro Akshay Kumar as the lead.

    Synonymous to the emotion, strong willingness and athleticism of the youth, Sparx — the popular footwear brand by Relaxo is set to win more hearts and garner accolades across the internet with the launch of the ‘Its In Me’ campaign’s TVC that features Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar as the primary lead, alongside other supporting actors who reflect upon the creative thought of celebrating the undying energy and ‘never give up’ attitude of the youth.

    The creative opens up with the Bollywood actor engaged in a Kite or ‘Patang’ flying drill (as India calls it) with a young guy who’s indulged in the same along with his friends. The teenager or the young kid tries his best to get the better of Khiladi Kumar but fails to do so, losing hold of his kite. Akshay celebrates his victory by announcing ‘Ye Kata’ (it is gone) to further testify upon his victory. However, the kid takes it positively and reverts with — “Akshay sir, kaata hai, loota nahi hain.” (meaning, I’ve lost it, but you haven’t got hold of it yet). The accompanying visual shows a two way tussle and a high octane run between both as the young guy and Akshay are seen wearing their respective Sparx shoes.

    They run, turn, move, jump and maneuver at extreme pace and still the grip they have on the road showcases the impeccable quality of the footwear as a whole.  Ultimately, both of them are able to be at proximity with the kite where Akshay gets hold of the manjha (the kite flying thread) whereas the young individual gets hold of the flight, which he achieves by jumping into the water — again resonating on the fearless attitude of the Indian youth. Akshay acknowledges the kid and his agility with “Tu bhagta acha hai ” (meaning you run well, kid) to which the individual replies with, “Aap bhagate bhi toh acha ho” (meaning, that’s because you make me run well). The TVC ends with both of them, flaunting their experience and announcing the ‘Its In Me’ collection.

    MUMBAI: Footwear brand Sparx has launched its new commercial ‘Add Sparx To Your Life’ starring Akshay Kumar. The TVC is supported by a 360-degree marketing campaign which will sprint across outdoor, digital, print and retail promotions.

    The TV commercial focuses on attitude and sportsmanship while innovatively capturing the energy, moves and attitude of a super active sportsperson. The campaign will also run in regional languages like Telugu, Marathi and Kannada for a stronger consumer connect in every corner of the country. Other important touch points like print and digital are being used aggressively to amplify the campaign and generate maximum offline and online buzz in the market.

    Touching upon the TVC which starts with visuals wherein a few boys confront Akshay and his team on a Futsal ground. As he takes on the challenge, the camera follows some of the most amazing sports skills with a catchy and energetic music in the background. As Akshay takes winning shot and signs off with ‘Add Sparx To Your Life’, the climax captures the expressions of the audience as well as the defeated team. Bringing together a high-octane action, the TVC perfectly highlights Sparx’s brand ethos that includes attitude, challenge, crossing the limits, energy, youth, sporty and stylishness.

    Explaining the reasons behind the rebranding intent of the 40-odd-year-old brand, Relaxo Footwear executive director Gaurav Dua said that it was their responsibility to build a future-ready brand. They were an ever-evolving brand that stayed true to the core values of being reliable.

    With the rebranding exercise, they infused youthful and transformational spirit that was important for the growth of internal and external stakeholders of the brand. Elephant, the brand building partners, played a significant role by understanding the brand’s value proposition, Dua added.

    Elephant co-founder & director Ashwini Deshpande said that Relaxo rebranding exercise involved validation of current values of being approachable while seeking newer dimensions to reiterate the brand’s leadership. Elephant built the new Relaxo visual identity with a wave of positive transformation. Brand’s dynamism was embodied by forward slanting letters in Berry Blue with Sunny Yellow swoosh flowing across.

    NEW DELHI: Footwear brand Relaxo recently launched a new TV commercial with Salman Khan for its fashionable, colourful, trendy series of comfortable flipflops- Bahamas.

    The TVC features the vibrant mix of mood, outdoor activity, and young characters along with the magic of the visual landscape, weaving the brand communication into an energetic, stylish, and chirpy concept. 

    The film opens with a group of boys and girls feeling bored in a well-decorated room. In between, Salman Khan makes an entry, teases them for their boredom, and asks to go to the Bahamas (proposes an interesting plan to lift their mood). The girls and guys get excited while Salman opens a wardrobe filled with the entire range of Bahamas slippers. The next scene cuts to a beach location with all the characters wearing colourful slippers and Salman dancing on groovy music.

    Speaking on the launch of TVC, Relaxo Footwears Limited executive director (Sales & Marketing) Gaurav Dua said Bahamas, as the name suggests, transports you into the world of free spirit and fun which unwraps and unbounds you from the mundane and routine to elevate you into a world of cheerfulness, joy and bonhomie. Bahamas boast of a versatile range of exquisite styles that suits the ever evolving needs of today’s youth

    With the concept “Keep Chillin, Keep Flippin”, the brand aims to position itself as a vibrant and youthful brand that compliments various moods and lifestyle of its customers.     The commercial has a nice Caribbean music with a signature Bahamas step celebrating the mood of free spirit, creating a strong hook amongst the consumers.

  • ‘Relaxo’ signs Katrina Kaif as brand ambassador

    MUMBAI: Footwear manufacturer Relaxo has appointed Katrina Kaif as the brand ambassador for their brand – Flite.

    Relaxo Footwear executive director Gaurav Dua said, “Flite has carved out a niche for itself by becoming a brand symbolic to youth, comfort and elegance. And to carry this brand persona a step ahead, we could think of no one better than Katrina Kaif. Her vibrant and unconventional style is often imitated by girls across the country. Which is why, Katrina Kaif was the perfect match for Relaxo Flite‘s new campaign.”

    Katrina will be seen endorsing Flite footwear in a 30 second TVC created by Arms Communications.
