    Gaurav Dhawan is Times Network’s new CRO

    Mumbai : Times Network has promoted Gaurav Dhawan as its chief revenue officer. Gaurav will be in charge of the network’s broadcast ad revenue operations as well as the monetisation strategy for the network’s bouquet of channels covering Hindi and English news, entertainment, and branded content.

    Times Network managing director & CEO MK Anand said, “Given Gaurav’s successful background leading go-to-market teams and his relentless focus that drives sustained growth, the decision to move him into the Chief Revenue Officer role was clear. He’s already proven to be a strong leader and I’m confident he will continue to drive our strong revenue growth strategy.”

    Dhawan is a Times Network stalwart who has played a pivotal role in shaping the brand’s market leadership and has been passionately involved in scaling revenue and new opportunities throughout his tenure with the network.

    Talking about his new role, Dhawan said, “I’m excited and honoured to helm this mandate. I have been associated with Times Network for over 17 years and it is heartening to see the Network’s commendable growth over the years, demonstrating market dominance in its respective genres.     Mumbai: Times Network, India’s leading premium broadcast network, announced key elevations in the senior management team today concurrent to the remarkable performance demonstrated by the company. Despite the economic slowdown faced by the industry, the Network registered 24% growth and all-around excellence on the back of superior viewership across products, strong distribution and ad sales and a surging Digital portfolio in FY19. 

    Commenting on the promotions, MK Anand, MD & CEO, Times Network said "The Network’s stellar performance is a testimony of the superior talent of our top managers.     Jagdish Mulchandani has been elevated to Chief Operating Officer & Executive President. Jagdish will be responsible in setting scalable distribution opportunities in both international & domestic markets and will continue to oversee overall Operations and Finance related strategy.

    Nikhil Gandhi has been promoted as Chief Operating Officer & President. Besides driving lucrative monetisation strategy and overall business growth of the Network’s bouquet of channels, Nikhil will also be responsible for driving strategic growth and profitability for Times Influence, International Business & Zoom along with its original content division, The Zoom Studios & events division Zoom Live.

    Vivek Srivastava, has been elevated to President, Strategy and will oversee Marketing and the critical area of Audience management. His KRAs will be consumer insights, product strategy & innovation for the network. In addition, he will continue to be Business Head of the network’s premium bouquet of English Entertainment Channels, sustaining its market leadership and profitability.

    Shouneel Charles, as Executive Vice President will further boost Audience growth and turnover of the Network’s digital platforms and also lead the company’s overall digital transformation with content innovation and process re-engineering to facilitate a planned metamorphosis of Times Network to be a Digital first media company.

    Additionally, a few other senior level promotions have also been announced. These are: Jignesh Kenia, Executive Vice President – Corporate Strategy, S. Srivathsan, Executive Vice President- Human Resources, Sandeep Bharadwaj, Executive Vice President – Distribution and Gaurav Dhawan, Executive Vice President – Revenue.

    Times Network restructures sales team; aims to accelerate growth

    MUMBAI: Times Network has restructured its sales team, which reflects a new stronger growth-oriented operating model.

     

    As part of the restructuring, Times Network head branded content Hemant Arora has been elevated as Times Now and ET Now sales head. Arora has more than 17 years of experience in media sales, including print, internet and television. He started his career at The Times of India in 1997. 

     

    Hersh Bhandari has been given the charge as Times Now national head of ad sales. I expect Hersh to restore the true premium value that the lead English News platform deserves to the business,” said Times Network MD & CEO MK Anand.

     

    Shilpa Shetty will take over as ET Now national head of ad sales. Since joining ET Now, Shetty has been instrumental in increasing the channel’s revenue. A tough taskmaster, she is also the first woman to rise to the position of head of sales from within the Times Network.

     

    Gaurav Dhawan has been made the head of English Entertainment channels’ cluster. With 17 years of extensive experience in managing advertising revenue driven business across television, print and web, Dhawan has an advantage in meeting his challenging new assignment, where he is pitted against Star’s English Entertainment business.

     

    ET Now north head Jogajyoti Pati has been elevated as Times Network national head of ad sales, whereas Rohit Tugnait will don the new role of zoOm national head of ad sales & brand solutions. 

     

    The initiative aims at providing significant growth opportunities and greater responsibilities to the existing leadership in the advertising and sales team, which will also inculcate the Network’s new brand philosophy of – ‘Now or Nothing.’

     

    Anand added, “This refinement in our working model is designed to keep up with the momentum we had been sailing on through whole of the last year. While 2015 was one of hygiene improvements, 2016 will be a watershed year during which we will make an all-out effort to correct our price:value equation and build our revenue base.”
