  • Aaj Tak expands to UK with Sony’s Max bouquet

    MUMBAI: TV Today Network has launched its flagship 24-hour Hindi news channel Aaj Tak in UK. This will be available as part of Max Mix bouquet along with ARY Digital, Pakistan’s leading entertainment channel.

    The Max Mix bouquet consists of Max, Sahara One, and Filmy channels.

    TV Today Network CEO and executive director G Krishnan said, “Over the last two years, we have been eyeing opportunities in markets with a sizeable Indian Diaspora. After US, the Middle East and continental Europe, UK is the next logical step for us. Launching Aaj Tak on the Max Mix platform will offer the viewers with live news and analysis from home right into their living room. We are delighted to be a part of the bouquet, which has popular channels representing a wide array of programming.”

    Aaj Tak, Headlines Today launch global feed

    MUMBAI: The TV Today Network has launched the international feed of two of their channels – Aaj Tak and Headlines Today. This comes a year after the launch of both these channels in the US. Aaj Tak and Headlines Today are available on the Dish Network in the US.

    Speaking on the occasion, TV Today Network CEO G Krishnan said, “Having built a healthy subscriber base in the US, we felt that it was time to commit ourselves more deeply to the market and customize our product according to international needs.”

    TV Today managing director Aroon Purie said, “The launch of our channels in the US has been successful and this step will further our efforts to reach out to the Indian diaspora.”

    The launch would also mean that the channel can now look at customised advertising and programming.

    TV Today announces 29 May launch of Dilli Aaj Tak

    MUMBAI: The Aroon Purie promoted TV Today Network has officially announced the launch of its fourth 24-hour news channel, targeting the local Delhi/NCR audience, for 29 May 2006.

    The announcement confirms a report put out earlier by Indiantelevision.com. The network has named the NCR channel –‘Dilli Aaj Tak’, which will cover all aspects of life in Delhi and the National capital region. The positioning of the channel is ‘Aap Ka Shahar, Aap Tak’. The look and feel is stylish and vibrant, and the content is led by utility in the capital region.

Getting into the regional news space was the next logical step for us, and what better market to enter than Delhi?
