    Empire Season 2 comes to an end this Sunday, May 22 on FX and FX HD

    MUMBAI: Empire, the show that made its viewers go through a maelstrom of emotions is now approaching its end with its Season 2 finale this Sunday, May 22nd at 10 PM on FX. The show stars Academy Award nominated actor Terrence Howard as protagonist Lucious Lyon, as he weathers a life of drug dealer to rise through the ranks to become a hip-hop mogul, only to see his life crash and burn as he is diagnosed with ALS.

    Empire Season 2 depicts the rat race to the summit that Lucious’ family comprising of his three sons – Jamal, Andre and Hakeem, his wife Cookie and himself, undergo as heseeks to pass the mantle to one of his sons. The second season starts with the #FreeLuscious concert organized by his ex-wife to end Lucious’s incarceration. The season picks up pace as the entire family is embroiled in controversies and machinations as their quest to be the top dog, heats up. Cookie Lyon, Luscious’s ex-wife, despite their murky past, stands firm with her flawed husband and his tribulations. The depiction of Cookie has won Taraji Penda Henson quite a few laurels with the audience and pundits alike. She also won the Golden Globe award for her performance. This season also showcases the identity of Luscious and lets us know the enigmatic ex-drug dealer a much better.

    As Empire Season 2 comes to fruition, Rhonda seeks to confront Annika, believing her to the one who pushed her down the stairs. Rhonda also comes to blows with Annika, with the latter pleading innocence. We still in remain in the dark regarding the culprit. We also witness the moment that had the viewer’s gasp in disbelief as Jamal gets shot. The Lyon family has a lot on their plate with Jamal getting shot and a wedding on the cards. The finale episode shall seek to answer the various questions in the minds of the viewers.

    Will Cookie accept Lucious’ proposal? Is the wedding going to happen with Jamal’s life hanging in balance?  Will Jamal live?

    The Season 2 of Empire is heating up like never before, as various threads are interweaving together to reveal the full picture. The finale episode, tantalizingly titled, Past Is Prologue promises to take the viewers on a roller coaster ride!

    MUMBAI: FX is all geared up to air the sci-fi series Eureka. The show follows the lives of the citizens based in a fictional top-secret town called Eureka in Oregan, Pacific Northwest. The show blends humour with groundbreaking technology and a unique plot.

    The series will premiere on 26 May at 9 pm every Monday to Friday and stars Colin Ferguson along with Percy Jackson, Erica Cerra, Jordan Hinson and Joe.

    The story follows deputy United States Marshal, Jack Carter, who stumbles upon the town of Eureka while transporting a fugitive prisoner back to her mother’s home in Los Angeles. Camouflaged by an electromagnetic shield, the town is operated by a corporation called global dynamics, which is overseen by the United States Department of Defense. The town’s existence and location are closely guarded secrets. However, when a faulty experiment cripples the Sheriff of Eureka, Carter finds himself quickly chosen to fill the vacancy. Despite not being a genius like most members of the town, Jack Carter demonstrates a remarkable ability to connect to others with keen and practical insights, and a dedication to preserving the safety of Eureka.

The show follows the life of its titular character John Luther played by Idris Elba who is an obsessive, possessed, and sometimes even violent Detective chief inspector working for the Serious Crime Unit.     The show’s season 1 explores the emotional and psychological effects of an affair that destroys two marriages, and the crime that brings these individuals back together. The extra-marital affair takes place between Noah Solloway and Alison Lockhartwhen they meet in the resort town of Montauk in Long Island. Noah, a New York City schoolteacher and Williams College alum who is struggling to write a second book is happily married with four children, but he resents his dependence on his wealthy father-in-law. Alison, on the other hand, is a young waitress trying to piece her life and marriage back together in the wake of her child’s sudden death. The story of the affair is depicted from Noah’s and Alison’s perspectives respectively, complete with memory bias.

    The second season goes a step further as the narrative is expanded to include the perspectives of their respective original spouses, Helen and Cole too as they all move forward with the dissolution of their marriages and deal with the ramifications. The provocative drama is told separately from four different perspectives thus revealing four distinct truths.

    While Alison is a young woman attempting to move on from tragedy and build a lasting relationship while contending with the judgment of others and her own self-doubt, her lover Noah is a burgeoning writer trying to balance the temptations of success, the family he left behind, and the woman he loves. Noah’s former wife Helen on the other hand is attempting to piece her life together while navigating the divorce proceedings, care for her children, and her parents’ noxious influence while Cole struggles to overcome his past heartbreak and start a promising new life.

    MUMBAI: Women’s Day is the celebration of female equality and achievement in social, economic, cultural spheres and what mirrors our society better than television! On this International Women’s Day, FX is commemorating television’s edgiest female character ‘Cookie Lyon’ in the hit musical series Empire who represents a feminist politics of insolence that has no time for prim notions of femininity as demure, quiet and self-effacing. The character, impeccably essayed by Golden Globe Winner Taraji P Henson, signifies the woman of today who is strong, confrontational, uncompromising and very much visible.

    The season 2 of Empire will air on 8 March 2016 9 am onwards.

    Empire follows the family of Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard), a former drug dealer now turned hip hop mogul and CEO of Empire Entertainment, who learns he has ALS. His life begins to cave in around him after his past sins come back to haunt him following his diagnosis. Lucious, looking to groom one of his three sons Andre (Trai Byers), Jamal (Jussie Smollett), and Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) to take over the family business, pits them against each other. Meanwhile, Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson), Lucious’ ex-wife Cookie Lyon and the mother of his three sons is released from prison after serving a 17-year sentence.
