    Zee launches ‘Ticket To Hollywood’ in 10 languages

    MUMBAI: Zee has lined up a slew of Hollywood blockbusters to thrill viewers during this festive season. Catering to the evolving Hollywood fan base in India, ‘Ticket to Hollywood’ will showcase the latest international hits on Zee’s English movie channel &flix with a simultaneous telecast of the dubbed versions on its regional language channels.  

    Starting with the ultimate action hero Vin Diesel-starrer, Bloodshot, the simulcast with &flix will be seen across &PrivéHD, Zee Café, &Pictures, Zee Thirai, Zee Cinemalu, Zee Punjabi, Zee Biskope, Zee Talkies, Zee Picchar, Zee Sarthak and Zee Bangla Cinema. This will be followed by simulcast of other recent superhits like Spider Man Far From Home, Jumanji-The Next Level, Bad Boys For Life, Charlie’s Angels (2019), among others.

    Zee chief consumer officer Prathyusha Agarwal said, “With Ticket To Hollywood, we aim to unlock the true potential of Hollywood in India whose fandom cuts across demographics and regions. &flix’s multi-language block ‘Flix For All’, delivered a 41 per cent jump as viewers aspired for a premium movie experience in their native language, further fuelling the need to curate a property that offers the best of Hollywood experiences in a language of the consumers’ choice.”

    Directed and produced by Jeff Wadlow known for his work on Kick Ass 2 and Never Back Down, the edge-of-seat thriller features an ensemble cast featuring the Mexican-American actor Michael Pena (Ant-Man) Austin Stowell (Spielberg's Bridge of Spies), Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars) and Maggie Q (Mission: Impossible III) among others. The horror-thriller movie will also premiere the same day at 3 pm and 11 pm as part of Club Privé on &PrivéHD and 2 pm on Zee Cafe.

    The plot revolves around a group of seemingly unrelated individuals with diverse backgrounds who embark on a trip to an exotic island. One with a mysterious vibe, the island promises these hopefuls a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to grant their one of their deepest fantasies under the watch of the enigmatic owner Mr. Roarke (Michael Pena). The only catch is that once you begin, there is no looking back! By now, there are signs that there is more to this blissful island than what meets the eye. As fate would have it, these fantasies don’t really play out as expected and come with a price that threatens their lives. It is the island is in control now and the guests – Gwen (Maggie Q), Melanie (Lucy Hale), Sonja (Portia Doubleday), Bradley (Ryan Hansen), Brax (Jimmy O. Yang) and Patrick (Austin Stowell) – now find themselves on a life-defying run to save their lives!

Unbeknownst to her, the lodge holds a secret that reveals to the kids the horrors that Grace and her father, a leader of a suicide cult were a part of. As things get out of hand, Grace loses a bit of her sanity when she realises that she is playing a pawn in one of her own mind games and faces an existential crisis that she must get out of by purging herself of her own guilt.

    The Lodge drives a wedge in the plot that makes the audiences question the very fabric of reality in this nerve wrecking premiere.
