    Mumbai: With the 2023/2024 season ushering in a completely new era for LALIGA together with its partner, EA SPORTS, this revamp is also evident in the most important U12 football tournament in the world, organised by the Fundación José Ramón de la Morena and LALIGA: the LALIGA FC FUTURES Tournament. The XXVII LALIGA FC FUTURES International Tournament will bring the world’s leading youth teams to Gran Canaria once again, with 10 LALIGA teams and 4 international sides competing. It will take place at the Maspalomas Training Centre from December 27th to 29th. This year’s tournament is sponsored by the Gran Canaria Municipal Council, Gran Canaria Tourist Office and the Maspalomas City Council.

    The 27th LALIGA FC FUTURES International Tournament can be seen live on Gol Play, DAZN, Movistar+ and our OTT platform, LALIGA+. It will also be available on LALIGA TV BAR and LALIGA TV HYPERMOTION channels. Matches will also be broadcast digitally on LALIGA’s YouTube channel, LALIGA’s official Twitch channel, plus LALIGA’s official Facebook profile, as well as on Chinese social network Weibo. Additionally, one can also keep up to date with all the latest news on the digital platforms from LALIGA and the broadcasters using the hashtag #LALIGAFCFUTURES.

    The teams are divided into four groups: Real Madrid, Olympique de Marseille, Sevilla FC and UD Las Palmas (Group A); Villarreal CF, Juventus FC and Rayo Vallecano (Group B);

    FC Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and CD Tenerife (Group C); Real Betis, Liverpool FC, Atlético de Madrid and Real Sociedad (Group D).

    The matches will be played on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th at 10am (local time), with the semi-finals on Friday 29th at 10am and 10:45am (local time) and the final on the same day at 5pm (local time).

    LaLiga beats TikTok record with the most multitudinous football content challenge in the platform’s history

    MUMBAI. LaLiga has beaten another record, this time in conjunction with TikTok, the largest short-form video platform in the world. Together they have launched #HolaLaLigaSantander, a campaign which has generated more than 220,000 videos and reached over 50 million views in just two weeks.

    The challenge, which consists of fans showing off their skills by doing headed keep-ups with a virtual LaLiga ball, was a roaring success on TikTok during the first week since its launch, and this is expected to continue over the coming weeks. "We're confident that users will continue to join in this challenge so we can reach 60 million views in a few more weeks," said Noel Nuez, TikTok’s Country Manager for Spain and South America.

    LaLiga, one of the first big European leagues to open a profile on the short-form video platform, currently has 350,000 followers with many of its clubs including Atletico de Madrid, Cadiz CF, FC Barcelona, Sevilla FC, RCD Espanyol, Real Madrid CF and Real Zaragoza already on TikTok.

    "We're very happy with the activation’s results. We've teamed up with TikTok and managed to make history together. The results of this initiative have far surpassed our expectations and we're convinced that this is just the beginning," added Alfredo Bermejo, LaLiga's Director of Digital Strategy.

    Among the millions of fans from over 40 countries who took part in the initiative, it is worth making special mention of some of the sports stars, celebrities and influencers who have shaken up social media with their videos.

    They include Espanyol’s Matías Ezequiel Vargas and former US football star Jimmy Conrad, as well as freestylers Javi Freestyle – the two-time Spanish champion – and Jenifer Rosas of Mexico.

    Also involved were celebrities from the music and showbusiness world, such as the Colombian Luisa Fernanda W, whose video proved the challenge’s most popular with over 1.1 million views.

    Creativity has been the common theme in this challenge launched by TikTok and LaLiga, in which we have seen some wacky and entertaining videos. One such example is Dani Duke’s upload, considered to be one of the most creative of all of those posted by people joining in the fun.

    MUMBAI: FC Barcelona has teamed up with TikTok, the world’s leading short video platform, to launch the #BarcelonaChallenge in India. Providing a platform for football fans to engage with their favorite FC Barcelona players, TikTok users globally can showcase their love for the team by participating in the challenge.

    Starting from now until August 10, TikTok users in India are invited to participate in the #BarcelonaChallenge by uploading videos of themselves sporting the blaugrana (red and blue) colors or wearing a Barça jersey. Five of the most creative videos will stand a chance to win official FC Barcelona jerseys.

    MUMBAI: El Clasico, the biggest club fixture in the world will be streamed live and free only on Facebook Watch on 3 March 2019 in the Indian subcontinent.

    La Liga signed a landmark deal with Facebook before the start of the 2018/19 season for telecast of all La Liga matches in the region.

    The legendary rivalry between Real Madrid CF and FC Barcelona is the most anticipated fixture for football fans across the globe. Fans in India can watch the match live and free on Facebook Watch in the early hours of Sunday morning.

    It’s been a La Liga season to remember, and one of the most competitive campaigns in Spanish top-flight history. FC Barcelona lead the way, but their great rivals Real Madrid CF are only 9 points behind ensuring plenty on the line when the two sides meet on the 3 March.

    Live studio coverage will be hosted by Joe Morrison. The popular presenter will be joined by former Real Madrid CF defender Michel Salgado and former English top-flight goalkeeper and fan favourite John Burridge.

    MUMBAI: La Liga plans to host live screening of the Spanish football league match on 3 December in Mumbai and Delhi. The showpiece match “El Clasico” will be played between traditional rivals Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.

    Former La Liga star Luis Garcia will attend the screening in New Delhi while Frederic Kanoute will be present at the Mumbai screening.

    La Liga recently established its India office in New Delhi and will organise the event with the aim of popularising the league in India. Live screening of sporting events on a huge screen is popular in Europe, IANS reported.

    On the telecast evening, there will be big screens, food and beverage stalls as well as fan engagement activities at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi and Khar Gymkhana in Mumbai.

    La Liga president Javier Tebas stated in a release that their aim was to take La Liga across the world, and further establish the league as one that was global and inclusive. They feel that the most important way to grow was to be closer to their fans, and provide them with newer, more exciting experience.

    Both Barcelona and Real Madrid were hugely popular in India, and they feel that they owe the passionate fans of the league, a chance to experience such an event. That was a big step, and what they believed would be a great start to their journey in India, Tebas added.

    Garcia, who played for FC Barcelona and Atletico de Madrid in La Liga said it would be a great experience for him to watch El Clasico with the fans in India. He said he had seen the passion for football among the fans, and he felt that those were great initiatives to further grow La Liga in India.
