    Fashion One launches new Ultra HD channel worldwide with MEASAT

    MUMBAI: Malaysian communication satellite operator, MEASAT and New York-based Fashion One Television LLC have launched Fashion One 4K, the first English language Ultra HD channel in the world on the MEASAT-3a satellite.

     

    Distributed free-to-air through the MEASAT-3a satellite at the 91.5 degrees East video hot slot, the channel will reach over 130 million viewers across Asia Pacific, Middle East, Australia and East Africa.

     

    Speaking on the launch Fashion One, Television LLC COO Gleb Livshits said, “We are tremendously excited to launch Fashion One 4K, the world’s first global Ultra HD channel dedicated to fashion and entertainment. We have invested heavily in producing Ultra HD content over the last two years, and I’m delighted that we are finally able to share the channel with our viewers.” 

     

    MEASAT CEO Paul Brown-Kenyon added, “Fashion One is a global lifestyle and entertainment TV network, supporting a large and rapidly expanding customer base.”

     

    “Our flexible solutions and collaborative approach led Fashion One to select MEASAT for the launch of Fashion One 4K. We look forward to working with more channels and content providers to help jump start this exciting new video segment,” Brown-Kenyon added.

     

    Fashion One 4K was launched concurrently on SES Satellite, reaching over 67 million households across North America at 103 degrees West (SES-3) and over 23 million households across South America at 47.5 degrees West (NSS-806). 

     

    Fashion One has been upgrading its production format from HD to ultra HD since 2014 and now owns an extensive library of ultra HD content with 100 per cent content rights.

     

    In Europe, the channel is broadcast under the brand Fashion 4K, reaching over 116 million households at 19.2 degrees East.

    MUMBAI: Fashion One, the premiere fashion, entertainment and lifestyle international broadcaster, fortifies its partnership with the prestigious international modeling competition, Elite Model Look, in the search for the next new faces that would represent the Elite brand in the modeling world. Elite Model Look national competitions from Africa and Latin America will soon be broadcasted through the network.

     

    Elite Model Look is one of the most distinguished modeling contests in the world that have discovered and launched the careers of some of the most famous super models such as Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista and Gisele Bundchen. Fashion One will be covering the competitions this year starting in Morocco, Mexico, and Colombia, with a few more other national legs already in tow.     Fashion One Goes Multi-screen with Toggle in Asia

    MUMBAI: The international channel for fashion, entertainment and lifestyle ‘Fashion One‘ announced its first top service deal in Asia with personal entertainment service MediaCorp‘s Toggle in Singapore.

    The channel has debuted in Singapore and is now available on numerous devices with a continuous and engaging viewing experience to the subscribers.

    The international market would be covering the very latest fashion, entertainment, and lifestyle news, profiles of A-list celebrities, luxury brands, holiday destinations and red carpet events which would be more female oriented. Viewers also get to enjoy an on-going fashion news series Fashion Frontline and lifestyle series on yoga, health and well-being.

    Fashion One CEO Ashley Jordan said, “We are happy to launch the service with MediaCorp‘s Toggle which allows our subscribers to choose where and how they want to consume our programmes. With our full multi-screen rights on all contents on the channel, Fashion One will continue reaching out to more female viewers in the world and giving them an enhanced, comprehensive and engaging viewing experience with our new expanded suite of services.”

    Fashion One launches in Germany on KabelKiosk

    MUMBAI: Fashion One, the international channel for fashion, entertainment and lifestyle television, has launched in Germany on Eutelsat’s digital cable platform KabelKiosk.

     

    The channel has concluded an agreement with Eutelsat’s German subsidiary (Eutelsat Germany) for distribution of the channel to cable operators in continental Europe.

     

    The channel will be available in high definition to cable networks in the KabelKiosk digital television platform provided by Eutelsat Germany. KabelKiosk will carry Fashion One starting 2 January.

     

    After capitalizing in Germany, Fashion One is now equipped with the potential to continue its expansion on the viewer base in Europe by further distribution on platforms in Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Alto Adige.

     

    The international television network caters to a female audience with content covering the very latest in fashion, entertainment, and lifestyle news, profiles of A-list celebrities, luxury brands, holiday destinations, and red carpet events. Fashion One also delivers a strong lineup of original programming from reality shows, documentaries, beauty tips and street styling.

     

    “We are excited to be launching Fashion One in Germany with KabelKiosk. The channel will be broadcasted in crystal clear high-definition for the sophisticated audience in the region.
