    MUMBAI: Times Network’s English and business news channel Times Now and ET Now respectively continue to lead their respective genres in week 2. The leadership has also been maintained in this week’s Hindi and Hindi business news genres with Aaj Tak and CNBC Awaaz dominating the genres respectively, according to the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) all India ratings.

     

    English News

     

    Times Now continues to rule the English news genre and has stayed in the first position with 473 (‘000s) followed by India Today Television climbing to the second place with 220 (‘000s). NDTV 24×7 moves to the third position with 218 (‘000s), while CNN-IBN was in fourth place with 194 (‘000s). News 9 enters the list at the fifth position with 105 (‘000s).

     

    English Business News

     

    ET Now continues to dominate the English business news genre with 372 (‘000s) followed by CNBC TV18 with 213 (‘000s) in the second place. NDTV Profit and NDTV Prime stays at the third position with 100 (‘000s) while Bloomberg TV maintained its fourth slot with 31 (‘000s).

     

    Hindi News

     

    Aaj Tak retains its lead with 90739 (‘000s) followed by India TV garnering the second position with 70846 (‘000s). ABP News stands at number three with 59283 (‘000s). News Nation takes a step ahead in the row gaining the fourth position with 54996 (‘000s) followed by India News with 54815 (‘000s) grabbing the fifth slot.

     

    Hindi Business News

     

    CNBC Awaaz leads the genre with 1608 (‘000s) followed by Zee Business with 901 (‘000s) at number two.

    MUMBAI: Times Network’s English and business news channel Times Now and ET Now continue to lead their respective genres in week 1. On the other hand, Aaj Tak and CNBC Awaaz in Hindi and Hindi business news genres continue to lead, according Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) all India ratings.

     

    English News

     

    Times Now continues to rule the English news genre and grabbed the pole position with 711 (‘000s) followed by NDTV 24×7 in second place with 348 (‘000s). CNN-IBN with 331 (‘000s) stood at number three. India Today with 223 (‘000s) and BBC World News with 119 (‘000s) were perched at the fourth and fifth spot respectively.

     

    English Business News

     

    ET Now continues to dominate the English business news genre with 323 (‘000s) followed by CNBC TV18 with 265 (‘000s) in the second place and NDTV Profit and NDTV Prime with 110 (‘000s) stood at number three. Bloomberg TV maintained its fifth slot with 11 (‘000s).

     

    Hindi News

     

    Aaj Tak with 109610 (‘000s) grabbed the pole position in the Hindi news segment. India TV garnered the second position with 81356 (‘000s) and ABP News stood at number three with 68435 (‘000s). Zee News with 63089 (‘000s) and News Nation with 62526 (‘000s) grabbed the fourth and fifth slot respectively.

     

    Hindi Business News

     

    CNBC Awaaz led the genre with 1522 (‘000s) followed by Zee Business with 795 (‘000s) at number two.

    MUMBAI: Following the age old saying ‘All’s well that ends well,’ Times Now ends the year on top of the chart with 507 (000s Sum). The channel led by Arnab Goswami slipped from the top spot just once in the entire calendar year.

    On the other hand, NDTV 24×7 with 229 (000s Sum) secured the second position over India Today Television, which garnered 207 (000s Sum).

    Times Now is not the only success story for Times Network, the business news channel under the umbrella ET Now with 151 (000s Sum) finished the year in pole position. While NDTV Profit climbed up to the second slot with 93 (000s Sum), CNBC with 82 (000s Sum) booked the third berth.

    Aaj Tak with 73183 (000s Sum) led the Hindi News genre followed by India TV with 57156 (000s Sum). ABP News garnered 51239 (000s Sum) to secure the third slot.

    MUMBAI: Time Network’s English news channel Times Now continues to lead the genre, while News 9 made an entry in top five channels. In the English business news section, ET Now witnessed a hike in ratings and continues to dominate the genre.

     

    Aaj Tak maintained its leadership position in the Hindi news segment while in the Hindi business news CNBC Awaaz continues as the number one channel according to the week 48 of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India, all India (U+R) data.
     

     

    English News

    Times Now has risen up in the week 48’s ratings with 471 (000Sums) against 459 (000Sums) in week 47 followed by CNN IBN in the second spot with 275 (000Sums) while NDTV 24×7 fell to the third slot with 215 (000Sums) against 281 in week 47.
     

    News 9 entered the chart with 169 (000Sums) in the fourth slot and India Today Television with 168 (000Sums) bagged fifth spot.

     

    English Business News
     
    ET Now continues to lead the genre and secured the leadership position with 278 (000Sums) against 264 (000Sums) in the previous week followed by CNBC TV18 in the second spot with 161 (000Sums). NDTV Profit & NDTV Prime with 53 (000Sums) stood in the third spot. Bloomberg TV maintained its position at the fourth spot with 27 (000Sums).

     

     

    Hindi News

    In week 48, Aaj Tak has observed an appraisal in the ratings and secures the pole position with 81828 (000Sums). India TV bagged second position with 71595 (000Sums) followed by ABP News in the third place with 56622 (000Sums) and News Nation shifted to fourth spot overtaking Zee News with 55037 (000Sums). Zee News witnessed a drop in ratings and stood at number five with 52424 (000Sums).

    CNBC Awaaz continues as the leader in the genre and garnered the first position with 1532 (000Sums) followed by Zee Business in the second spot with 1098 (000Sums).

    Times Network joins hands with Autocar India for TV show

    MUMBAI: The Times Network has joined hands with Autocar India magazine to launch a show called The Autocar Show.

     

    It may be recalled that The Autocar Show was until now aired on Bloomberg TV India.

     

    With India becoming the fastest growing automobile market in the world and individuals looking for the best in-class products, the show will showcase reviews by car experts on ET Now and Times Now from 11 December, 2015 onwards. 

     

    The Autocar Show will air on ET Now on Fridays at 10:30 pm with repeats on Saturday (11:30 am and 3:30 pm) and Sunday (10 am and 2 pm). On Times Now, the show will be telecast on Saturdays at 6:30 pm and Sundays at 9:30 am.

     

    Autocar India is widely quoted by the media across the globe for its detailed views. In addition to providing car reviews in the most insightful manner, the magazine gives its readers unmatched access to the automobile industry news. Zee Business emerged as the number one channel in Hindi business news channel. Ten Sports secured the leadership position in the sports genre in week 46, according to the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India all India (U + R) data.

    Times Now continues to lead the English news genre with 558 (000Sums) followed by NDTV 24×7 with 304 (000Sums) on second spot and CNN IBN on third with 303 (000Sums).  Indian Today Television and News 9 bagged the fourth and fifth berth with 215 (000Sums) and 212 (000Sums) respectively.

    Aaj Tak continues to lead the Hindi news genre with 80873 (000Sums) followed by India TV with 70194(000Sums) on second spot and Zee News on third with 61343(000Sums).  ABP News and News Nation bagged the fourth and fifth berth with 59261 (000Sums) and 57997 (000Sums) respectively.

     

    English Business News

     

    ET Now continues to lead the genre with 381 (000Sums) followed by CNBC TV 18 with 250 (000Sums) on second berth and NDTV Profit and NDTV Prime on third with 151 (000Sums). Bloomberg TV stood at number four with 30 (000Sums).

     

    Hindi Business News

     

    Zee Business garnered the pole position with 1125 (000Sums) followed by CNBC Awaaz with 1060 (000Sums) on second spot.  

     

    Sports

     

    In week 46 of BARC data, Ten Sports continues to led the genre with 99493(000Sums), followed by Star Sports 3 with 73800 (000Sums) in second spot and Star Sports 1 61395 (000Sums) in third place. Ten Cricket grabbed the fourth spot with 34727 (000Sums) and Star Sports 2 held the fifth berth with 34243

    MUMBAI: Times Network has appointed Rasesh Gandhi as the Cluster Sales Head – News (TIMES NOW & ET NOW). Prior to joining TIMES Network he was VP – Sales at BCCL Response. In his new role, Gandhi will work closely with the Leadership in a bid to ensure that the portfolio grows manifolds. The News Ad Sales team will directly report in to him and he will report to the Chief Sales Officer, Times Network.

    MUMBAI: Zee Business climbed up to number one spot in the Hindi business channels genre in the All India (U+R) market according to Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India week 45 ratings. In the Hindi News genre, Aaj Tak sustained its position as leader. BBC world News entered the top five list in its genre.

    In the English News category, Times Now continued to be the undisputed leader. ET Now also continued its leadership position in English Business News genre.

    Aaj Tak secured the first place in Hindi news genre with 93917 (000Sums) followed by ABP News which bagged second spot with 89022 (000Sums). India TV slipped to   third berth with 83345 (000Sums), whereas News Nation with 67642 (000Sums) and Zee News with 65510 (000Sums) grabbed the fourth and fifth spots respectively.

    Times Now garnered maximum ratings in the genre and continued to be at the pole position with 973 (000Sums) followed by NDTV 24×7  at second position with 467 (000Sums). CNN IBN fell to the third position with 456 (000Sums). India Today Television saw an increase in ratings, though it continued to hold the fourth place with 280 (000Sums) against 152(000Sums) in the previous week. BBC News entered the top five with 174(000Sums)

    Like last week, in the Hindi business news genre, Zee Business regained first spot with 1185 (000Sums) followed by CNBC Awaaz in second slot with 939 (000Sums).

    MUMBAI: In week 44, While Times Now maintained its number one position in the English news channels genre in the All India (U+R) market according to Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India data, Aaj Tak slipped to second slot, while India TV secured the leadership position in the Hindi news channels section. 
     
    In the English business and Hindi business news genre, ET Now and CNBC Awaaz maintained their position as leaders in their respective genres.

    India TV secured the first place in Hindi news genre with 71129 (000Sums) followed by Aaj Tak which fell one place down to second spot with 68284 (000Sums). ABP News secured the third berth with 61433 (000Sums), whereas News Nation with 51833 (000Sums) and Zee News with 50460 (000Sums) grabbed the fourth and fifth spot respectively.
