ENO brings cricket banter to life with Aakash Gupta in humorous new campaign

MUMBAI: ENO, has launched a witty new campaign featuring comedian Aakash Gupta, celebrating the nation’s shared love for cricket and food. The campaign highlights passionate fan rivalries and indulgent match-time snacking, ensuring that acidity never spoils the fun.

Fresh off the Champions Trophy victory, cricket fever grips the nation as fans gear up for the next big tournament. With every match comes friendly banter, intense team rivalries, and a spread of delicious snacks elements that define the true cricket-watching experience in India. ENO’s campaign playfully captures these moments, reminding fans that while emotions may run high, acidity shouldn’t interfere.

Gupta takes on multiple humorous avatars, portraying enthusiastic fans enjoying regional delicacies without worrying about acidity.

“For millions of cricket fans, it’s not just a game but a battle of pride, passion and some friendly banter. No matter which side you are on, one thing’s for sure great cricket is best enjoyed in the cheerful company of friends and family over delicious food that we love to indulge in. In the moments of nail-biting finishes and wholesome entertainment, the last thing we want is for acidity to spoil the fun. ENO understands the joy of these shared moments and wants to ensure that nothing comes between you and the excitement of the game – not even acidity. ENO is here to help you savour every moment, every snack, and every triumph, without interruption,” said Haleon India category lead, digestive health Bineet Jain.

Comedian Gupta said, “I’m super excited to be teaming up with ENO for this campaign! As a die-hard foodie and cricket fanatic, I live for intense match moments where you get so caught up in the game, you don’t even realise how much you’ve devoured until the acidity hits. That’s when ENO is the ultimate solution for fast and effective relief to go right back to the game without missing a moment. I hope the humorous scenarios we’ve created in this campaign really resonate with audiences, reminding them to keep ENO handy so they can keep the party going, uninterrupted!”

  • ENO celebrates 50 Years in India with first-ever metaverse stand-up show

ENO celebrates 50 Years in India with first-ever metaverse stand-up show

Mumbai: GSK Consumer Healthcare’s ENO, who has completed 50 years in India, has consciously leveraged humour as a tool to communicate and create awareness around acidity. Its quirky approach has translated into iconic campaigns that have evolved from print to TV and, now, digital platforms.

In recent years, ENO started collaborating with comic influencers as part of a long-term content strategy. To celebrate its 50th year and build a community of fun foodies across India’s diverse food cultures, ENO took the next natural step in its evolution, creating India’s first-ever stand-up comedy event in the metaverse.

The event was headlined by leading stand-up comic Zakir Khan and supported by other comics such as Rahul Subramanian, Kaneez Surkha, Sahil Shah, Rahul Dua, Kiran Dutta and Shraddha Jain. Titled ‘A Plateful of Laughs’, the comics donned customised avatars and interacted with each other in an amphitheatrical metaverse venue.

Following the event, the comics will be posting videos on Instagram of their experience in the metaverse. This successful campaign was a joint-effort of team WPP. ENO’s creative partners Ogilvy conceptualised and created the theme of the event, the creative roll-out strategy and the design. Genesis BCW co-created the branded content with the comics and ran the internal communications. The metaverse experience itself was powered by PartyNite.

GSK Consumer Healthcare India chief marketing officer, India sub continent Anurita Chopra said, “We are very proud to celebrate ENO’s 50 years in India, adding to the legacy of one the most iconic and loved brands in the country. It is a brand that has always been about pushing the boundaries of communication and becoming a real wingman for the everyday acidity sufferer. Celebrating this in the metaverse is a preview of the next 5 decades, as the brand continues to remain relevant, contemporary and full of life. The brand has always been about pushing the boundaries of connecting with its vast consumer base, spread across rural and urban India. We have been leaders in digital content creation, and the comedy genre is not just in sync with the brand, but also helps build unique allyship with the consumer.”

Stand-up comic artist Zakir Khan added, “Everyone who knows me well, can corroborate the extent I am willing to go to when it comes to my passion for food – even if that means going into the metaverse! I am excited to have partnered with an iconic brand like ENO as they continue to evolve and take the first steps in the metaverse. They have brought joy into our lives through innovations and humorous storytelling for over five decades. I am hopeful that our fans will enjoy the fun-filled food ride.”

“A brand completing 50 years is no ordinary feat. So, when ENO turned 50 we knew we had to make the celebrations extraordinary. Instead of looking for the perfect place for the occasion, we ended up creating one. And so, ‘Plateful of Laughs’, India’s first stand-up comedy event inside the metaverse, came into existence. We had partners across functions like tech and PR working in complete synergy to create a cutting-edge metaverse experience. In collaboration with some of the most sought-after names in the comedy circuit, we created an experience that was truly out of this world,” said Ogilvy North chief creative officer Ritu Sharda

“A huge congratulations to GSK Consumer Healthcare and brand ENO on this commendable milestone. It has been our privilege to be part of that journey for over a decade and to see the brand grow as a household favourite for wellness. The ‘Plateful of Laughs’ event is both a celebration of that legacy as well as an overture to a new set of audiences through the metaverse. For us, that means an opportunity to showcase our earned-plus offer, with the comedy talent provided by The Outstanding Speakers’ Bureau and integrated communications across traditional and digital platforms. The metaverse is the new frontier for communications and together with our WPP partners and GSK Consumer Healthcare, I am sure we will be able to move people for ENO,” said BCW India Group CEO Deepshikha Dharmaraj.

Gamitronics (PartyNite) founder Rajat Ojha said, “Metaverse is an ever-evolving technology and possibilities are not just being explored by the developers but by users and brand owners as well. We are shaping the new internet, and, in this journey, we are stoked to have a partner like Ogilvy on this journey of ours. Working with Ogilvy to celebrate the 50th anniversary of ENO was technologically and creatively immensely satisfying.”

ENO continues to drive relevance with food experiments

New Delhi: GSK Consumer Healthcare’s leading antacid brand in India, ENO has launched the third phase of the successful #WhatARelief campaign to drive relevance for the brand. As the country prepares itself for a longer stint of social distancing, the in-home food experiments continue to be a relevant trend, as validated from the recipe search data from YouTube. Riding on this wave, ENO has partnered with Google to create a unique campaign where the communication is customized as per the recipe being searched by the user.

The brand first picked up the top recipes being searched on YouTube (which had a high correlation with acidity) and then developed customized six-second creatives for each recipe. The ENO advertisement is customised basis the recipe searched and plays before the recipe video commences, making the whole experience a very personalized one for the viewer.

GSK Consumer Healthcare area marketing lead OTC & expert marketing ISC Vijay Sharma said, “With prolonged confinement at home, food continues to be an expression of relief and people are seeking and trying new recipes that they can themselves make at home. We want people to enjoy their culinary experiments without having to worry about any interruption that may happen on account of acidity, as their trusted ally Eno is always there to take care of it. We had received an overwhelming response to the previous phase of this campaign and that’s why we are extending it – now making it far more personalised with this unique idea.”

With this campaign, the brand will drive relevance via contextual conversations and present itself as a reliable ally against acidity. The campaign has already garnered a massive reach of over 14 million consumers on YouTube within a week of its launch.

ENO joins food conversations, launches contextual digital campaign

MUMBAI: Due to the lockdown there is increased snacking and experimentation with food, coupled with erratic food timings and reduced physical activity which could all lead to higher chances of acidity. GSK Consumer Healthcare’s leading antacid brand ENO has captured these moments to build a contextually relevant digital campaign and to present itself as trusted ally against acidity.

The brand has launched a digital campaign, which went live on 9 April, the phase one of which was cantered around occasions like working from home and reduced physical activity. Phase two was launched on 30 April with two digital films titled “Stay @ Home: Food Cravings” and “Stay @ Home: Food Experiments” that highlight the change in eating habits and food experiments these days, which could potentially result in acidity. Cooking has emerged as a favourite activity for many as people are experimenting in the kitchen, leading to social media being flooded with food images and searches for new recipes shooting through the roof. The visually delightful campaign has been shot at home using food shots to drive the message of Eno being your trusted ally to ensure that acidity doesn’t play a spoilsport in the Food experiments and cravings.

The first phase of the campaign that was rolled out earlier this month has already garnered a massive reach of 7.1 million on OTT (Disney Hotstar and Voot) and 7.5 million on social platforms (Instagram and Facebook) and continues to drive social conversations and relevance for the brand in current times.

GSK Consumer Healthcare area marketing director-wellness Naveed Ahmed said: “Taking into consideration the emerging consumer trends of frequent snacking and reduced physical activity – driven by people being confined to their homes, our latest campaign enables people to indulge in their food cravings and experiments without having to worry about acidity. We have consciously chosen a humorous approach, online with the brand personality of Eno, to build a connect with our audience and communicate our message effectively.” Below are the links to the films: Work From Home –

  • Eno asks you to live life non-stop

Eno asks you to live life non-stop

MUMBAI: Fun times are incomplete without food. What good is a movie without nachos and popcorn! Can shopping be complete without a plate of chaat?! Would Holi feel the same without gujiyas? While food is an intrinsic part of most fun-filled moments, what happens when the same nibble decides to act as a deterrent.

Enter Eno with its claim of getting to work in just 6 seconds, Eno has led the fight against unsavoury bouts that can hijack occasions of joy and celebration.

Conceptualised and executed by Grey group, the latest campaign for Eno brings to life one such moment in the life of four friends. It demonstrates how the sudden onset of acidity can not only disrupt an otherwise fun moment, but has the potential to derail the celebrations that await.

Grey group India executive creative director Varun Goswami says, “Part of the joy of a train journey is in sampling the many local delicacies that are served at platform food stalls. Often a representation of the local flavour, these rich, surprising, unpredictable culinary samplers are a part of what makes train journeys, charming and memorable.”

Speaking on the new asset, Grey group India president of North and growth officer of North and West Ketan Desai mentions, “While the film is steeped in culture, and immediately connects with our audience, we have also embarked on a journey to create memorable assets like the Eno ‘O’, extenuating the relief moments with the effervescent bubbles, ensuring memorability and a strong brand asset that we can use across multiple medias and touch points.”
