    Jio & Sodexo to accelerate digital transformation

    MUMBAI: Reliance Jio and Sodexo, the leader in Employee Benefits today announced the partnership to accelerate India’s digital transformation. Jio and Sodexo will leverage complementary strengths and offerings to create an enriched digital life ecosystem for Indians.

    JioMoney, the PPI wallet offered by Jio Payments Bank Ltd., has enabled integration of Sodexo Meal Cards with a user’s JioMoney account to allow mobile-based payments via Sodexo Meal Card. The partnership will enable thousands of Sodexo Merchants like grocery shops, kiranas, restaurants and cafes across the country, to accept digital payments via Sodexo.

    Sodexo’s proprietary meal benefit solution, Sodexo Meal Pass can be linked to the JioMoney App for making quick payments on-the-go. It will also be an added digital transaction option for JioMoney’s rapidly growing user-base across India. Consumers no longer have to carry the Sodexo’s physical card for the purchase of food and non-alcoholic beverages. They can simply add the Sodexo Meal Card balance to the JioMoney app and start transacting on-the-go. Jio and Sodexo will continue to work together to accelerate adoption of services offered by both the brands.

    The solution has already been launched in Mumbai and the consumer response has been excellent.     Housing.com fires CEO Rahul Yadav

    MUMBAI: Mumbai based online realty platform, Housing.com has released its CEO Rahul Yadav, with immediate effect, after a regular board meeting, held earlier on 1 July. Yadav who is also the co-founder of the company, will no longer be an employee of Housing.com and be associated with the company in any manner, going forward.

     

    The Housing board, unanimously agreed to bring Yadav’s tenure to a close, with reference to his behaviour towards investors, ecosystem and the media. The board believed that his behaviour is not befitting of a CEO and is detrimental to the company, known for its innovative approach to product development, market expansion and brand building.

     

    While the search for an interim CEO is underway, a transition plan has been put in place. The current senior executives of Housing.com will continue to run the operations on a daily basis, and ensure its continued smooth functioning. The board and the operating committee will remain closely involved with all key decisions.   

     

    Through an official statement the company said. “The Housing.com board, investors, management team and employees are keen to see Housing maximise its huge potential in India and beyond, as well as run in professional and world class manner. This is part of our larger commitment to India and the start-up ecosystem, which together remains unaffected and as strong as ever.”

    MUMBAI: Satellite operator SES, which has got a fleet of 52 geostationary satellites, has launched SES Ultra HD Experience initiative at MipTV in Cannes which invites content providers and broadcasters to work with SES to support the development of the Ultra HD value chain.

    SES Senior VP Commercial Europe Norbert Hoelzle said, “With manufacturers launching larger and larger TV screens at increasingly affordable prices, consumers expect to receive content with the highest possible picture quality. As a global satellite operator, it is of utmost importance for SES to play a catalytic role and enable the industry to drive the deployment of the Ultra HD ecosystem.

    “The challenge for broadcasters is to access content in Ultra HD. As satellite is the most suitable infrastructure to deliver high resolution pictures to large audiences, SES is well-positioned to support content providers and broadcasters in testing their Ultra HD footage and distributing their content before Ultra HD becomes a commercial reality in the next few years.”
