    SRF to license earthTV’s robotic TV show generator

    MUMBAI: Berlin-based earthTV is all set to launch its brand new production system at MIPCOM 2015. The software system will enable broadcasters and producers, to create new shows for all platforms by re-packaging their existing content in a simple, effective and automated way 

     

    Swiss broadcaster SRF (Schweizer Radio and Fernsehen) has signed an agreement with earthTV and will be the first broadcaster to take advantage of this TV show generator.

     

    The agreement will allow SRF to create short programming using their own sports and music content.

     

    The software can also be adapted to other genres such as entertainment programming, both scripted and non-scripted,

     

    SRF head of TV programming Stefano Semeria said, “The technology fits our purposes excellently, especially our short term need for fillers, which derives from a big amount of live programming in all time slots. SRF will use EPS to automatically create shows of various lengths for programming, it will be operational by the beginning of 2016.”

     

    earthTV managing director Claudius Lohmann added, “The Robotic TV Show Generator offers more scope to provide more targeted content. Numerous scheduling gaps can  be filled with this content in  the future and will enable broadcasters to considerably enrich their schedules with up-to-the-second images  delivered instantaneously via earthTv Cloud.”

  • earthTV inks deal with Mediascope for live global feeds; NDTV to telecast in India

    MUMBAI: German media group, earth television network (earthTV) has entered into a representational agreement with Indian media house headquartered in Mumbai, Mediascope to develop earthTV’s business within India.

    The shared goal is to develop a network of earthTV’s cameras across India, and use this network to generate Live TV programming that will air earthTV’s partner broadcasters around the world, live, daily, states an official announcement.

    In India, earthTV’s programming will be is broadcast live every day on news network, NDTV.

    Mediascope – Publicitas CMD Marzban Patel said, “We are truly delighted at having won the contract to represent earthTV in India. earthTV is a unique and innovative program that airs on a constantly expanding list of leading news channels across the world. India will now enjoy the benefit of its massive reach.”

    earthTV president Thomas Hohenacker said, “We had been considering our India strategy for some time now, and the partnership with Mediascope really is an ideal fit. The tie-up gives us the opportunity to partner with the market leader to develop earthTV’s presence across India, to develop a network of cameras across India, and to broadcast the best of India to the rest of the world, live, every day.”

    Coinciding with this announcement, earthTV has set up its first camera in India, located at Udaipur, the City of Lakes. Live video from Udaipur is now broadcasting around the world on more than 40 TV networks daily. It is also available at www.earthTV.com.

    earthTV to launch in Korea next month

    MUMBAI: Programming produced by earthTV, which operates a remote-controlled broadcast camera network will launch across Korea on JoongAng Broadcasting’s Q Channel, on 5 February 2007.

    earthTV programmes Motion Time Lapse, Earth Quiz and Best of The World Live will air 20 times daily across Q Channel’s broadcast schedule.

    Q Channel head Christina Lee says, “earthTV’s innovative programming is a perfect fit for the new Q Channel line-up which will feature world class documentary and factual programming. We look forward to developing a significant and lasting partnership with earthTV.” Q Channel has 7 million subscriber households in Korea.

    Launched in 2002, earthTV utilises its patented, remote-controlled camera technology to produce programming from its network of more than 70 remotely-controlled cameras around the world.

    earthTV launches in New Zealand

    MUMBAI: Programming produced by earthTV, which operates a remote-controlled broadcast camera network, has been launched across New Zealand on its free-to-air public service broadcaster, TVNZ.

    earthTV produces daily live programming from destinations around the world and its programme, The World LIVE will air daily during the morning block on TVNZ’s main channel TVOne, titled Good Morning, informs an official release.

    TVNZ’s head of news and current affairs Bill Ralston said, “earthTV’s innovative programming will enhance our morning programming, and is exactly the kind of dynamic content New Zealanders expect from their national network. We look forward to developing a significant and lasting partnership with earthTV.”
